The ending is amazing
This song was written long before that show, i believe she said on an interview that she wrote it out of an experience with a group of people who she wanted to be friends but these people mistreated her. This song speaks to me deeply, not the same way as it was inspired to her, but I've been that person who pours yourself at someone's feet and it's never enough. It's hard to pull yourself from that hole of self degrading, but i see it now as a life lesson.

AURORA actually like conqueror. In the documentary "once Aurora" seems the manager force her to only perform conqueror becouse he was thinking that was the only "main stream" song the radio would promote..but she seems to want to try exploring different sound the menager don't approve completely.. That my opinion after watching the documentary btw n

She does want to try different sounds and ideas, and occasionally clashes with her manager (not so much these days, I believe). You’re of course entitled to your opinion, but regarding Conqueror it’s not a song she’s a big fan of.

I don't feel it's necessary to do Runaway, I believe you have done it like 3 times now☺️ it's a good version, so you should absolutely check it out, but you don't need react to it. I Went Too Far music video is good though. And as some others have mentioned here, Animal Soul (verftet version) (that whole concert is good, it's also including Massive Attack Teardrop as others have recommended)

Dont think, personally, that its necesary to react to Runaway again considering there are so many songs to react to that you havent even heard yet, taking also into conisderation that you have already heart some live renditions of taht song prior; but hey, lets the public decide! Just my two cents.
Im also recomending her Jimmy Fallon Conqueror instead of the Honda one, but i guess you might want to keep it consistent. Still, watch the Jimmy Fallon if you decide to react to the Honda one, even if its on your own. That ending will fill the most rainy day with pure sunshine, and the version itself is so upbeat and bouncy that it allmost feels like an 80s song, and i mean that as a compliment. She exudes pure happiness there.
If i rememeber correctly, back in the day (when i was young and beautifull... nah, kiding; i was born old and have never been beautiful) of her 2016 tour, she gave an interview explaining that she got inspired for this song by how it infuriated her to see a friend she cared about very deeply being treated like shit by someone he loved. But then she also supports the listener to interpret songs theyre own way. And she gave other possible aplications of the meaning to other situetions later.
Another thing she used to say is that she likes mixing the moods up a little. sad lyrics to upbeat songs, so that both would feed each other. Many people who dont care about lyrics think many of her songs are happy just beacuse they are upbeat. There are many who still think The Police´s Every Breath You take is a love song...

As much as I love her live performances, I also recommend watching the music video for this one - or really any of Aurora's when available :) It's lovely scenery, and an emotional performance - as you might expect from Aurora.

She said in an interview that she started writing it at age 6. She didn't specify which parts or how much.

Another great rection! 🙂 I think I remember she said a long time ago, that the song is'nt nesseseraly about romantic love. It can be trying to hard to be accepted in a group of friends as well. I dont remember exactly what she said, but I think it was something along those lines.
I heard it at a concert. She explained before she sang it that when she was younger she was encouraged to join a group of girls and that she made big efforts to be accepted, and that, after some time, she discovered that she actually didnt really liked them at all and that it is a waste of time to sacrifice ones self to be accepted by others, even more so if they are not really wort the effort, and if they dont accept you for who you are, they never are . Maybe you heard it there too?
Aurora wrote this song when she was about 9, and she said it was about some little kids not letting her play with them at primary school and about not having many friends etc. Somehow I found that hard to believe and she looked like she didn't believe what she was saying herself. But I think I know the real meaning behind her song and she's not allowed to say publicly.

I'm not sure when she wrote I went too far, I just know that she wrote all songs of her first LP between 9 and 18 yo. She wrote and recorded "Exist For Love" in 2017 ;o) so she was 21.
I Loved your analysis, It match well with what I feel too.When she said "it is a sad song... but not so sad", this is, to me, a facet of Aurora, a kind of a dark place and a redemption, despair/sadness and hope/Love, except for "Exist for Love" and she presented it at the first song of a new era.

The version of "Conqueror" on the Jimmy Fallon's show is way better!!! It's a great opportunity to see Aurora having lots of fun, dancing, and really enjoying herself!!! Definitely not the typical Aurora performance.

Aurora has shocked me time after time when I listen to her lyrics. 9 years old when she wrote Lucky, 11 when she wrote Runaway.
What shocked me most was All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend. She must have wrote this in her teens, I think (it was the title track to her first album, but it was never released).
There exist some live performances and demo tapes of this song, but I prefer this ad hoc piano version (she struggle a bit in the beginning) it catch me more.
Aurora is an excellent observer. I think she prefer to stand outside the road, observing people walking, instead of walking on the road herself.

Aurora actually stated the Exist for Love was written when she was 17. She said that relationship did not last, because the timing was not right. I think maybe it took her some time to get around to recording it given that it was very different from a lot of her other music.
Oddly enough "I went too far" was written when she was 9, or at least wrote most of the lyrics at that age, after witnessing someone not demand the respect they deserve.
