It's rare for people to request one of Aurora's old and unreleased song titled "All my Demons" which is supposedly a part of her first album "All my Demons Greeting Me as a Friend." It'll be great if you can dive into that. Unfortunately there's no studio version of the song, though here's the available version that can be found in yt: ruclips.net/video/7dX2Pi4CVZs/видео.html
"My new favorite..."most Aurora fans say every time they discover another song of hers. ;D Again, I really enjoy hearing your take on her themes. Thank you! The Honda Stage concert, if I googled correctly, was on July 1, 2016. She would have just turned 20.
2:33 The way she spazzes out a bit there is just so ridiculously _cool_ looking. It's weird....there's just something about her, something about literally everything she does, that just feels elevated compared to most people. I mean....she's literally just kinda whipping her head/hair there and vibing to the groove. But there's something about it that looks infinitely cooler than if literally anyone else did that. That Current performance of It Happened Quiet is another good example where she does a ton of little subtle movements and ticks that just feel surprisingly elevated....if that makes sense. Or do I sound like a crazy person micro-analyzing nothing? Or both? lol... :P

The best interpretation I read to this song so far is that it deals with addiction. So if your not careful with drugs you can die, just like if you go for too long or too deep under water. Taking a lot of drugs might hurt your relationships with friends. They probably won’t follow you down the drug path. Hence under the water we are alone. Also the question that is asked in the song „what do they seek, what do they Need“ is really crucial if you want help somebody with an addiction.

Hi there! I've been watching your videos for the past few weeks via a Roku, where I can't drop a comment. You're an absolute joy to watch, and there's a real kinship among Aurora fans. I'm sure it's been requested plenty, but I'd love to see how you like "A Different Kind Of Human", the title track of her 3rd Album (and the infamous Track 8 - her favorite number, and the most personal song on each album). It's not rock, but it's such a unique structure and story, and it's not one that I see get as much attention in the React world. "Mothership" is the follow-up on the same album. As one more Weirdo than Warrior sometimes, those two get to me. Best!
One of those songs that just get better and better the more you listen to them 👌🏽and you should check you her song ”in bottles” (i feel like the studio version is the best version)
I love the Rock style of this song. I would like to see more of this from her. I love everything she does though, so she could sing the alphabet to me and I'd be happy. But, this one is one of my favorite performances. Love the vibe

great reaction! i love all the album, definitely one of my favorite songs, it would be awesome if after you reacted to all the songs of an album you listen all the album and react to all of it, something amazing about Aurora it's that all of her albums so far even though they're not all concept albums (Actually all my demons greeting me as a friend it's the one that is not a concept album) the main theme of each album is a journey of Aurora's life or a journey that Aurora thinks is needed to pass through to become a better human, a different kind of human first acknowledging the pain, mistakes and fear (1st album) 2nd and 3rd are together 2nd one is more of what is like to be a human with the good and bad the way we love the way we hurt and the 3rd one is that once you accepted your past acknowledge who you are finally you can fight for something bigger than yourself guess this was very long comment but to make it simple you should react to the whole albums at the end Haha great video Adam
Dulce Álvarez Thank you for your lovely insightful words into Aurora’s music! I may have to do a full album at some point, a lot of people are requesting it! 😊😊
Please react to "In Bottles," which is on her most recent album, but for which there are also live versions. It's either about a real person, or a (sinister) character she has created in her mind (or perhaps both). She says it's the sequal to "In Boxes," which is about a woman serial killer. Most of her songs are layered, as you know, so these two songs are interesting, and sound upbeat musically: perhaps she is exorcising demons, or exploring dark emotions

You mentioned Lisa Gerrard in a different video (Nidarosdomen?) - she is *amazing*. Do you listen to Dead Can Dance? "Toward the Within" 1994 live album is where I heard them discussing the vocalizing (no lyrics). If you haven't seen that performance, that would be a fantastic react!! "Rakim" is one of my favorite songs, and that version of "The Wind That Shakes the Barley" leaves me feeling so beautifully devastated.
@@AdamStraughan Dead Can Dance is centered around Lisa Gerrard & Brendan Perry. That particular performance has interview clips between songs, and it's remarkable how soft-spoken they both are for the incredible vocal performances they each deliver. "Toward the Within" is a stunning set - very folk and 'world music'. (Keep an eye for the drummer in back - he's a joy to watch.)
Also.....I simply _adore_ that instrumental breakdown that starts around 4:23 It sounds so cool. Both the tone of whatever synth pad is making that sound. But also the melody and all the slides and bends and falls going on. There's a sorta pentatonic oriental(is that word problematic? i legit don't know....and mean zero disrespect, just trying to be descriptive) vibe to the melody that is really incredible to me...
YAAAAAS I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! I knew you would love this since you said that you liked rock/metal! Your chocked/surprised expression when the chorus started was priceless, my friend hahaha I love it, another great reaction as always. This music is from the first album "All my demons greeting me as a friend", I would say this is the darker album of Aurora. The evolution of her music is amazing, and everything has a meaning, all albums are connected. By the away, I think you would like to know just like the albuns the stories of some songs are connected too. I think I saw someone asking for "In boxes", and this song is connected to "In bottles". These song are about the same character Aurora created. It would be nice if you reacted to them together! Thanks again for the awesome content! Abraços :)
Thank you for another great Aurora reaction. Can someone make a Aurora Honda Stage RUclips playlist so Adam can react to the whole concert that way? I would do it myself, but not all the songs are available in Norway and I do not know the order of the setlist.
@@AdamStraughan The Verftet-version she did in march this year is awesome I think!:) Those harmonies in that version gives me a kind of old roman feeling, like the music in the Gladiator.
I'm so grateful that you're still not done with our requests!!!! I always prefer to listen to her LIVE and my favorite performed songs are Running with the Wolves (La Cigale), All is soft inside (KEXP and Verftet) and It Happened Quiet (Lindmo - it's on her channel). Her concert in La Cigale, Paris, 2018, was amazing but you can only find it recorded by fans. But it's amazing to see Aurora dancing and vocalizing more, and she has dancers too! Thank you for the videos, Adam! The quality is amazing!
It's very hard to have a favourite as it depends on how I fell on the day. My favs at the moment are 1 runaway 2 the seed 3 murder song But she has yet to make one I don't like. Love the vid.
Ok so I just foung some videos of songs from the Somewhere Else Festival Aurora was part of at the beginning of this june. And holy fuck they are amazing. You should all check them out. It*s like hearing the songs for the first time. I mean she made a freaking Rock version of Running With The Wolves!! (ruclips.net/video/s_20ed8k-j4/видео.html) I honestly don't have the words for it. Also the Verftet Online Music Festival (from this March) might also be interesting for you: ruclips.net/video/bCKlCZzeu1A/видео.html
In spite of the melodic minor it is sung in it feels that a very constructive song about the value of daring to leave our safety zone. Deep water is a metaphore used in most languages for situation hard to cope with. I cannot leave the interpretations that the deep water is just problems we have to tackle or we will drown? And she leaves western music when referring to the unknown and skips into almost pentatonic, east asian, music. She has a new inclination in every song
React to the aurora album " all my demons greeting me as a friend" and "infections of a different kind" and " a different kind of human" plisss 🙌🏻✨💓 her voice is amazing 😍💘
Hi Adam, love all your reactions. I know your a big fan of The Seed. I found this live version of it recently released: ruclips.net/video/d8Z__iiUA2c/видео.html It is related to Greenpeace work and very different to the official video you reacted to earlier, but just as beautiful in a softer way. Please find a spot for it on your future reaction list ❤
100% in my top 5 songs of hers. I’m instantly drawn to heavier songs so as soon as I heard it I fell in love with it. I agree I would love to see her explore rock! What are some of your favourite rock artists?
Caitlin Taylor Ooo lets think: Paramore, Linkin Park, Against the Current, We Are The In Crowd, Fallout Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Thirty Seconds to Mars, etc! I have a lot of love for metal artists too 😊
Aurora said she'd love to do a collab with Gojira because they're one of her favorite metal bands. As a metal head, I would love to see her do a collab with a metal band. I listen to a lot of Puscifer and was thinking her voice would work really well with MJK and Carina Round.
I am absolutely loving your Aurora reactions. I especially love your reactions to the full concerts, such as Nidarosdomen, KEXP, and HAIK. For a concert where Aurora rocks, can I recommend "Aurora Aksnes and her band rock at Lollapalooza, Chicago 2016.8.1" - The link is here for this; ruclips.net/video/Ga86NuEYIRo/видео.html Also, noting that you mentioned that you like rock, and suggestions of other artists, it would be great if you would react to Eivor, who is a Faroese singer with similarities to Aurora in that she is very much a free spirit. "Eivør - Falling Free (Live at the Old Theater in Torshavn) " and "Eivor - Wake Me Up // RTT" are both impressive, and both live. If you happen to have been watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix, then you will have already heard Eivor's voice, as she voices the soundtrack to the series.
I think my favorites are (in no order) The Seed, Under The Water, and probably the STUDIO version of Murder Song (which is bigger and louder - you'd love it if you heard that version). Honorable Mentions to Under Stars and Running with the Wolves. I think you mentioned that you were a gamer too Adam? If you ever played the Mass Effect games, Under Stars was the end credits theme of Andromeda! I was so stoked to hear it the first time! I guess the only song that I don't think you've reacted to that has an associated video is Animal. You should watch that one - the message is quite relevant right now.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who found this song is kinda creepy :") and what I love about this one is the music is strong and I enjoy it very much to listen to this one for morning jog. By the way, Adam, what other kind of music do you like to listen to?? As always, Adam you're the best, for all this reaction for Aurora's music. I'm sure warriors and weirdos are more than delighted 💛💚💐
Bianca D. Ahh thank you so much!! I always appreciate your lovely comments 😁 So I’m into a lot of rock/metal music too, but I do like artists/songs from many genres!
i know you really enjoy “the seed” and you’ve said you appreciate her movements and dancing but you haven’t reacted to the music video yet!! it’s really really worth the watch even though you’ve seen her perform it live!!
After listening to Black water lilies and Under the water, you should probably listen to Awakening. Awakening is one of her early songs and it follows the same themes of water and drowning. I like her storytelling in Awakening and to me a musicvideo is redundant. I just close my eyes and see it all take place. So let's just finish her "water-songs" before moving on with the honda stage. 😉👍
I have two different top 3, hehe (one ballad/slow songs and one with more up-tempo) : Ballads: Infections of a different kind Animal soul Through the eyes of a child Up-tempo The seed Warrior All is soft inside/The river/Queendom But there are probably someone I have forgot...there are so many and hard to pick.. 😉
aurora is my favorite singer of all times, it would be nice if you could react to my favorite band hahaha, it doesn’t have the same vibe as aurora, it’s actually pretty different from her but the band is twenty one pilots.. if you could react to their song car radio? maybe friend, please? thanks in advance! 😊

Please check out Kvelertak - 1985 [OFFICIAL VIDEO] ruclips.net/video/g36fWfErL9w/видео.html I am not sure if this appeal to the common Aurora fan, but I think you would like it :) Keep up the good work!
Before im gonna say anything, im gonna second the request for Auroras version of "Into the unknown" Just listen to the original first. That is important. Listen to the much more commercial succesful version first. Then you listen to an artist doing it. OK. Now im gonna listen to your reaction.

Grudge 5 Thank you so much! What a lovely comment! And thanks for your suggestion again 😁 it’s definitely coming 😊
RosalineScarlett I have not heard of these! I’ll check them out, thank you!
(Keep an eye for the drummer in back - he's a joy to watch.)
..still one of her best! It’s really powerful.
Also.....I simply _adore_ that instrumental breakdown that starts around 4:23
It sounds so cool.
I love her music❤️and your channel is so cool👌
Thank you!
Abraços :)
Awh thank you so much!! I really appreciate that! Thank you! I didn’t know those songs were connect!
Thank you for another great Aurora reaction.
Can someone make a Aurora Honda Stage RUclips playlist so Adam can react to the whole concert that way? I would do it myself, but not all the songs are available in Norway and I do not know the order of the setlist.
Someone commented on my last video with the song listings so I have them! Thank you though! 😊
@@AdamStraughan Then you an make a playlist and react to the whole concert. ;)
Hi, could you react to All is Soft Inside by AURORA? It’s a great song 👌🏽
It is coming :D
@@AdamStraughan The Verftet-version she did in march this year is awesome I think!:) Those harmonies in that version gives me a kind of old roman feeling, like the music in the Gladiator.
If u want you can check the reaction Adam did of the Kexp and haik full concert.. All is soft inside is in both
I'm so grateful that you're still not done with our requests!!!!
Thank you so much! 😊😊
Yapp that with her wonderful voice follow by Soft universe and Warriors it is highly explosive.
Awakening- P3/ Christine live 2014
It's very hard to have a favourite as it depends on how I fell on the day. My favs at the moment are
1 runaway
2 the seed
3 murder song
But she has yet to make one I don't like.
🖤
Hi Adam, love all your reactions. I know your a big fan of The Seed. I found this live version of it recently released: ruclips.net/video/d8Z__iiUA2c/видео.html
It is related to Greenpeace work and very different to the official video you reacted to earlier, but just as beautiful in a softer way.
I have a lot of love for metal artists too 😊
Adam Straughan yessss all the emo music! the best kind hahaha. Have you been to RISE in town? (Newcastle) Such a good time🤘🏻
If The Seed is your number, you should know she performing two versions of this song. Album version is more energetic, the second is quite sadder.
Aurora said she'd love to do a collab with Gojira because they're one of her favorite metal bands. As a metal head, I would love to see her do a collab with a metal band. I listen to a lot of Puscifer and was thinking her voice would work really well with MJK and Carina Round.
Oh wow I’d be here for that collaboration!!
My top 3
1 All is soft inside
2 The seed
3 I don't know 😂 there are so many I can't chose
It's tough, right?
@@AdamStraughan yes is impossible for me! and my opinion change all the time
I am absolutely loving your Aurora reactions. I especially love your reactions to the full concerts, such as Nidarosdomen, KEXP, and HAIK. For a concert where Aurora rocks, can I recommend "Aurora Aksnes and her band rock at Lollapalooza, Chicago 2016.8.1" - The link is here for this;
ruclips.net/video/Ga86NuEYIRo/видео.html
Also, noting that you mentioned that you like rock, and suggestions of other artists, it would be great if you would react to Eivor, who is a Faroese singer with similarities to Aurora in that she is very much a free spirit. "Eivør - Falling Free (Live at the Old Theater in Torshavn)
" and
"Eivor - Wake Me Up // RTT" are both impressive, and both live. If you happen to have been watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix, then you will have already heard Eivor's voice, as she voices the soundtrack to the series.
John Byatt Ahh thank you very much!! 😊😊 I thought I recognised the name! Yes, I shall check them out! Thank you!
Ahh brilliant! Thank you! And yes, I am a gamer and I ADORE the Mass Effect series! I’ll need to listen out for this! Thank you!
I always appreciate your lovely comments 😁 So I’m into a lot of rock/metal music too, but I do like artists/songs from many genres!
btw I LOVE YOUR AURORA REACTIONS! thank yooou! ♥️♥️ Under Stars is my favorite song of hers, ITS SO AMAZING.. you should check it out :)
Thank you so much! It's on my list :)
Since you like The Seed so much maybe you'd like to listen/react to a different version of the song: Aurora - The Seed (Live for Like A Version).
i know you really enjoy “the seed” and you’ve said you appreciate her movements and dancing but you haven’t reacted to the music video yet!! it’s really really worth the watch even though you’ve seen her perform it live!!
PS you should react to her live performance of “i went too far”! it was at this concert^^
All of the Honda stage songs are coming! So I will definitely come to it! 😁
I have two different top 3, hehe (one ballad/slow songs and one with more up-tempo) :
Ballads:
Infections of a different kind
Animal soul
Through the eyes of a child
Up-tempo
The seed
Warrior
All is soft inside/The river/Queendom
But there are probably someone I have forgot...there are so many and hard to pick.. 😉
I like how you have chosen these! I may do the same!
Adam Straughan You should 👍
aurora is my favorite singer of all times, it would be nice if you could react to my favorite band hahaha, it doesn’t have the same vibe as aurora, it’s actually pretty different from her but the band is twenty one pilots.. if you could react to their song car radio? maybe friend, please? thanks in advance! 😊
Lívia I second this!😌
Please react to "Animal Soul"! It never got a studio version but it's one of my favorite song of hers. Here is a live performance: ruclips.net/video/CADUQIDjc8s/видео.html
Please react to (I went too far) on honda stage please please please
Watch “The Seed for Greenpeace”. Hands down the best version!
react to Emilie Nicolas - Feel Fine
Adam, loving your Aurora reactions, but knowing you enjoy metal and rock a lot, it would be really cool to see you react to some Norwegian rock/metal. Please check out Kvelertak - 1985 [OFFICIAL VIDEO] ruclips.net/video/g36fWfErL9w/видео.html I am not sure if this appeal to the common Aurora fan, but I think you would like it :) Keep up the good work!
Can you try reacting to the Simlish version of this from The Sims 4 ?
Jahannie Ayala Haha yes of course!
Before im gonna say anything, im gonna second the request for Auroras version of "Into the unknown" Just listen to the original first. That is important. Listen to the much more commercial succesful version first. Then you listen to an artist doing it. OK. Now im gonna listen to your reaction.
Ahh brilliant! Thank you! I will!
Do under stars
It's coming :D
@@AdamStraughan no wait you did it when you reacted to the concert
What about a cover she did across the universe from the beatles
aurora soulless creatures looks like the earth talking about the humans 👽👽
Please React to Little boy in the grass, Dance on the moon and I went too far(music video)💜
thank you for the reaction! your Aurora reactions are the best i’ve ever seen. you should react to Animal Soul, it’s so so beautiful. here’s a link to her playing it recently: ruclips.net/video/CADUQIDjc8s/видео.html
Ahh thank you so much!
Adam Straughan This version is also amazing (NRK P3. ruclips.net/video/aXtAVhyqY7I/видео.html
They always have amazing sound).
Haha i am nagging about this pearl for weeks now and now we are two. splendid. I hope he picks this it is so beautiful. Simple, masterful, celestial and ..... more ;-)
@@In_my_own_mind Song ways A okey but the hole atmosphere with the glasstudio and people going back and forth in the background is annoying. I think this song she should be completely on her own. it´s so personal... but that´s what i think ;-)
💛💛 would love to see you react to Janelle Monàes song Cold War after all the Aurora requests 😊 think you will like it, if you haven’t heard of it that is.
Ademir Pasic I have not heard of this! Thank you!
If you would like to listen to an rocky song then I think you could like her In Bottles - Gurtenfestival 😊
Hiii, Please React Iamamiwhoami BLUE BLUE ALBUM Please
Is very well
Hey there. No nagging today ☺️☺️ nice react there. There is strange though. I am a metalhead but i am not connected highly to this. Like it a lot.... Love it... Not on my 20 best of her... But compare to other artist is high above them. I connect more with ruclips.net/video/8zJPRfeqNIU/видео.html. This is soft universe which is also rockish but it's more energypacked also love that performance as hole.
Aurora in different genres ... Not rock but how about her collaborating with a band she has loved since before her existence? 🤯
“"I’ve always loved Chemical Brothers, ever since I was a sperm,” she said."
This is not in your playlist ... yet!:- The Chemical Brothers - Eve Of Destruction - ruclips.net/video/sYsXKhBknyM/видео.html
You have to hear i went too far it's the best of aurora
Another great reaction ! Please check Aurora - Animal soul live ruclips.net/video/aXtAVhyqY7I/видео.html that performance is everything !!!
