thank you so much Taylah can't wait for part two. you are more than welcome to make three hour video's just saying.
Thanks so much Amanda 😄💓
I cut my old mat into four pieces and saved ONE of them to use for messy stuff like gluing or other things that might stain or harm the new mat.
Great idea! Thanks 😄
I do the same. I also use my old ones when I hammering grommets when bag making.
45:37 OMG!!! They are my bandanas 😭😭😭✨ Thank you for sharing them on your RUclips 🙏🌸✨ I hope you and Flo liked them ❤️
Omg! Australian money is pretty sooo colorful.
That’s the first time I’ve seen it.
I often buy cheap bed pillows instead of soft filling for stuffing toys etc …..some pillows have almost the same stuff inside and it can be much cheaper…..just have to get the right pillows.
I love the long vlogs. I don't have to decide what to watch next after like 15 minutes. I love your content so much!
Put the mat on the wall! It’s an art piece of your journey and how far you’ve come!
I use my old mats for doing messy jobs like glueing, painting things like that.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that saves bows until the end...and then often I don't get to them lol It's really sad to see fellow small biz owners closing up shop. I get it though.....my sales definitely aren't what they were last year but I also haven't been putting as much into it as I should be. Love your vlogs! love your spirit!
Thanks so much Sara! 💓
Enjoyed your prep for market. I had 2 shows for my jewelry and it was an eye opener.
I commented in your next video asking you to show us how to make the heatless curlers. Somehow I missed this video so I apologize. Thank you for showing us!! The funny thing is I make it yesterday and then today I find you doing it. Lol. I tried it in my hair and it annoyed me early on as well lol
You can use the foam inside a pillow. It’s cheaper and it’s the same thing. 😊
Yeah you did the right thing with your Juki. The extension pole for the foot is stupidly short as standard, but the worst thing that could happen is the foot pedal will detach and you won’t go anywhere.
Fiskars has a guarantee on its mats. A lady in Arizona had her nat replaced free. Just keep your receipts as you need them as proof of purchase. Would be worth checking it out.
Any wait for the second blog Tay. Love watching and supporting you 🥰🥰.
Thanks mum 💓💓
Omg I hear ya! So many small businesses closing. I finally caught up last week after having unfulfilled orders non stop for 4-5 years! I'm usually still working Christmas Eve and trying to close the website for a week off over Christmas. I don't know if I'm working more efficiently or if it's quiet
I love Spotlight, so many bargains to be had!
You're so right, so many shops that started during COVID have closed. Sales this year are down but I'm hoping they pick back up in 2023. I have just learned not to keep a ton of stock on things that can be easily grown
wow
I can tell you have been busy reorganizing
Looks great!
God bless
Could you use fabric remnants/offcuts to stuff the curler tuber? Would be sustainable and a great use of excess fabric. Love the vlog!
Yes!, one hour video, I want more, please 😉👍
Yes most small businesses are doing it tough this year it’s really weird
I use my old mats for spray paining or gluing stuff …anything messy or sticky
Markets have been crap for me too. I can't do over $100 in profits because the weather and where I live, (we are being affected really badly with cost of living stuff)
Hi Taylah happy vlogmas day and happy December and happy winter season and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter
Thank you so much! Have a lovely holiday season 💓😄
@@TaylahRose of course sending you hugs ❤️ 💙 🤗
I think many small businesses that sell lower priced items will still be ok , I know even on a bad money week I will still spoil myself with a few cheapish items say $40 max unless I have a power bill or something bad …….. and many people spend regardless until the shit hits the fan .
The shops have still been absolutely packed when ever I go and trolleys very full …I’d rather reduce takeaways or going out places before stopping my other little purchases that make me happy.
I think handmade businesses that already have loads of fabric etc they can make stock with are mad to shut down this time of year , especially online sales that don’t require more than packing and posting if an order comes in (only list what you already have made up)
if you don’t spend anything on the business you don’t absolutely need just use up what you already have and get as much of your money back as you can sounds more logical to me than giving up , can always just say “ on holiday “ incase change your mind and have to start from scratch.
Been in bed sick as a dog with covid19 the past week so I have to stay off shopping apps etc as I’m sure I’ve blown my pocket money already …lol..
Hi Taylah love watching your videos. Where did you get your little tags for your scrunchies. I am in Australia and have been looking for something like you have for my handmade items. Your such a pleasure to watch and you give so much advice to us all. Merry Christmas🎄🎄
Thanks so much Donna! I got mine from alibaba from a place called Shang hai green goods co 😄💓
@@TaylahRose thank you so much have a fantastic day
I would love to see you do a video with a day at the market
it's funny! I'm watchin ur video while making schrunchie. love fr 🇲🇨
Thanks for watching! 💓
Hey Taylha, have you cocidered an electronic payment system for your markets? I personally use Square, it has helped me a ton at my craft shows here in the US.
Hi Taylah, where did you get your gift boxes?
Also just a tip about hobby fill. Sometimes it works out cheaper at spotlight to buy the cushion inners and take them apart. Worth checking if they are on sale as hobby fill is ridiculously overpriced
I usually do most of my sales in October for Halloween costumes and it decreased 60% this year. It's very sad :/
You've probably thrown it away by now but I kept my old cutting mat for using with my glue gun and other sticky stuff.
Definitely feeling the Small Business woes! Down by quite a bit compared to last year :'( oh well haha
I’ve been planning my shop opening for the past 5 months, getting all my fabrics in and hardware etc. getting all my custom packaging made etc. but now I’m too scared to open because of the recession and every penny counting during these hard times. I know people always need childrens clothing and scrunchies etc. but it’s so worrying.
So scared I put hundreds into it to not even be able to start.
Completely get what you're saying!Did you end up starting your business, hope it's going good if you did
Australian money is so pretty 😄
I love your beautiful sunshine and your video and erering and you have easier me to make my own sunshine Busnas of my own thank you

I enjoy your market preps, maybe because I can put the videos on and just let them play. I'm curious, do you take credit cards as well as cash? Most of our vendors here take credit cards with a reader on our phone, or Venmo payments. I'd rather deal with that than cash - and oh, my gosh, how rude is it for a customer to show up at a garage sale or market with a $100 bill?
Thanks so much! I do I have a square reader which is super helpful I usually do 50/50 cash and card spending on the market area. More country way markets have a lot more cash but closer to the city it’s more card. 💓
My name is Taylah! :))
Hi Taylah, do you buy your fabric by the roll or by the metre and do you buy them wholesale
It depends on the price! If it’s cheap I buy the roll but if it’s full price I only buy 1-2 metres
I swear all my money goes in my tummy to... and lord help if you try to eat healthy just spend more lol
That is the time to experiment when your mind hasn't been saturated with others product so you can make up your own mind on how you want it to look
❤❤
Ola soy de chile
Do you have a square reader for using at your markets? I got one and it's amazing for markets
I do! I love it so much. Depending on the market I sometimes get 50/50 cash and card
That's really interesting I'm from America. I've never seen your kind of money . Very cool. What does the new King Charles money look like ?
يعجبني ماتفعلين جميل جدا وكذلك يبعث الفرح في نفوسنا amal of moroco
دائما متألقة بالتوفيق ...... من اي بلد انت من فضلك؟
Thank you! I’m Australian
Are you getting too many items when you should concentrate on lesser but better product?
Australian money is so beautiful! Our US is bland and boring no cool colors like y’all’s.
Hi,I'm from INDIA, I love ur scrunchies ,will you send it.,..here
She does ship internationally
my sales have gone down soooo much since summer its crazy! I do beaded daisy jewlery (@kearistudio if anyone is interested to see) and I guess its kind of a summer thing, so this could also play a big role into why my sales are so low but I guess its also bc living cost has gone up a lot. luckily I dont depend on my business, bc I have a part time job with which I can pay all the bills and buy food, so the money from my business is just for me to either reinvest or just buy whatever I fancy and thats what I need to kind of slow down now. I did save some money and I really dont want to spend any of it, so I really hope sales are going to go up again next year in spring (I'm from germanny btw). I'm just very glad that I can keep my business bc I do it from home and I have another job. I really would not want to give up. I really enjoy making jewlery and I would like to grow my business into someting bigger (maybe designing jelwery to get manufactured so I dont have to do all by hand etc) and at some point beeing able to work full time on my buisness like you do.
I definitely felt the decline in sales over the Christmas period (My Small Business is @chubbybonesproject) I am only very small, but i would LOVE to get into markets! I think it's such a great way to get involved and get my name out there a lot more.
