I love the idea of both you and ludwig hiring professional chess players to backseat you, but neither of the pros know, so they're just playing against each other thinking you / ludwig are goated at chess.

@@Yerocco They might for sure, but if it's set up right (footage of the chess players, like this video did with levy, for example) then we get some really good reactions out of it as well. Even after they 'figure it out', they'll wonder who they are playing against and that could be fun to watch.
The worst part is that Stanz was a good sport about it. If he had gone on a unhinged salty rant accusing ludwig of cheating he would have been completely justified and been hailed as a prophet who saw through ludwig's cheats
Even funnier is that if role were reversed I'm 1000% sure Ludwig would be absolutely malding if he was throwing leads like that LMAO

I think this shows that you could play way better against higher ranked players if you just think as little of your opponents as you do of ludwig.
I mean kinda, but mostly he just got leads only when Lud blundered. Levy didn’t suggest any bad moves

content/game idea: you both bring a pro in to cheat, but then you both can call each other out on whether a given move was a cheated move or not, and some kind of penalty happens if you get caught or if you were wrong in your call. basically combining the card game bullshit with chess

Friend's self esteem? He could actually learn quite a bit from this. Supposing they did not know that Ludwig was cheating, and they lost twice in a row after beating Ludwig in the past with easy, self accountability must be applied and you will look at your mistakes and actually learn something this time. The game of Chess usually isn't recommended to be played while involving emotion, since it causes you to act in an irrational manner, so why should we discuss how the person is feeling and not about learning something from all this?
Jeez, why are we even pointing it out like that, it was just some goof at the end of it all, too.

5:26 For those of you wondering, a mating net is when you control most or all of the king's escape squares so that the king's movement is limited and therefore easier to checkmate. After h4 the king has no squares and can't escape and it's hard in that position for black to help his king escape.

Not in the best way possible. He does not realize, that Levy did not help Ludwig with every move. Levy just had inner dialogue for most of the moves. Dialogue that Ludwig did not hear

You played well, I also love the feeling when in the end it is revealed that we played several of the best moves. It's a feeling that is hard to put to words, but "wanting to kiss yourself" is one way. Ludwig did you a favor because he used the Levy's IM powers to push the game up past your level, and bring out your best Chess...pushing you to the limits. It allowed you to shine though, in the end. I think Ludwig should have informed you of his prank right afterwards.
