Makes it pretty hard to get a good paying job, when they dont want to give any of them up...and when they do.... Millennials get paid half as much if not less for the same work. Its so great that this 94 year old is still working and running a boutique. Its sad that a 34 year old is losing out on this same opportunity though.

Over 50 years working in aviation maintenance. He never graduated from high school. But I learned more from him after 2 days then I did my entire 4 years in college. He literally disassembled and rebuilt an engine in an afternoon. With no manual. And it worked flawlessly. These people are jewel's if people would just shut up and listen to them.

Especially experience. You could say that you graduated from UTI with full certifications but 90% of the employers I have talked to would rather pick someone that has 1 year of experience working as a regular mechanic even if that person didn't graduate high school.
I for one learnt most of my Automotive knowledge from a high school class and I got offered a job by my mechanic after he saw some of the work I have done on my car while I was in high school. Definitely was one of the most memorable moments of my life...
