Sick video! Just got myself a 1436 for duck hunting, but definitely plan to take it down to Jupiter area and hopefully slay some fish!

Hey dope video!! I have taken my John boat out to the coast out of Crystal river.. I have been skeptical on going out to Tampa because I don’t know how to read the weather ..Skinny water is not a problem, though I would hate to take the trip and there are swells I can’t handle.. can you assist me?

Couple questions. I’m looking at putting together the same rig
    Top speed?
Least depth of water you can run in?
Is there a reason you ride in the middle vs sitting on stern bench?

Idk the top speed until I get a new prop, it’s on the way. The engine currently hits the over-rev protector just like my gheenoe did. The new prop comes in next week. Most small boats will have the problem with larger engines due to them being so light. My Goal is 30mph
It can float in a couple inches with the engine up, run in less than a foot maybe 8-10 inches.
Better balances the boat. All small boats require good weight distribution for desired performance

can you catch those on rubber or plastic baits or is live bait usually best? i don't have much saltwater fishing experience....

I’m no expert but Yeah, you can catch snook on soft Plastic, hard plastic, and live bait. Just got to get out there to find good spots and give it some time
