@@tonyray1185 Money. I sold the pro skiff to save up to buy the house and property I live on now. I bought a jon boat in the mean time. Going to have fun with it for a little while and save up some more then I will probably upgrade to a some kind of bay boat when the finances are right for it.
How did you mount the grab bar with nuts inside the bench seat? Did you have to cut a piece out to get to the bolts? Just curious i like your boat set up.
10/4 thanks for replying back. I gotcha. I was just trying to see i wanna do something like that to my 15ft tracker topper but i got the live well in the middle bench. Thanks again bud.
How do you like this vs your other boats? I live by cocoa beach and want to get something small for me and my son to fish off of and curious on your thoughts. Originally I thought about getting a gheenoe but im on the heaver side 5'9 225 so wasnt sure what I should go for.
In comparison to my Mako 17cc it’s obviously a lot smaller and a lot less stable so theres nothing to compare, but very similar to the Custom Gheenoe LT10. Stability wise. Which for me isn’t a problem but if I’m you aren’t sure I would definitely recommend a LT25 it’s twice as stable as this 1436 and the LT10. If you want to go with a jon boat and you’re iffy about stability I recommend a 48 bottom width like a 1448. This also may come as a surprise but this Jon boat has a better ride than my gheenoe did. The gheenoe felt horrible in ANY type of chop. It only liked flat smooth water. But a pro for the gheenoe is the hull was much quieter. This Jon Jon boat is very noisy. Alot of hull slap and hollow aluminum tings when moving things around. Hope this helps with your decision
Nice setup. Im gonna pickup this same boat tomorrow!
Enjoy!
Nice set up. Looking to do my 16’ similar as yours.
Thanks for the video.
Do you have a video on how you did eva foam on your boat
Beautiful boat. Great job as always 👍
Thanks!
Looks like a Ribbonfish
Yep! We have them in abundance up here in the Chesapeake Bay area.
Looks awesome. Going to go with a very similar setup on my 1436
Simple and effective!
What size yeti cooler is that?
Sorry but do you have a link to the grab bar? If not what are the dimensions? Thanks!
Nice boat and nice video. Good job dude!
Thanks!
@WeekendPirate what made you choose to go from the pro skiff to jon boat if you don't mind me asking

Jack Nuts at Home Depot. Along with stainless lock washers on-top with stainless steal bolts. Experimental, but seems solid

If you dont mind me asking what is the brand of the shallow water stick anchor?
thesuperstick.com
Just curious but is that a short shaft tiller or long?
Short shaft
@@WeekendPirate thank you, I’ve been wanting to get a grizzly 1436 and didn’t know what shaft length to go with

Still have an 11p it’s running good when everything is trimmed down. I have a 12 coming in the mail so we will see with some testing
What speeds are you seeing?
I have a video showing I was able to top out 33.5mph
Can anyone identify the very long silver fish? Ribbon fish?
Yes a ribbon fish . A great fish to troll with for kingfish.
