    Cool. Must be useful for Ontario weather. LOL. We don't even have a single umbrella in our house in Alberta(except the patio umbrella for shade) LOL

    Must be really difficult using all these tools? What’s the point? Who’s this video for?

    Lots of great detail like the rabbets, chamfer, and tapers, turn what could be a bulky piece into a very very elegant one. Well done !

    Wes the umbrella stand is a very nice elegant piece of woodworking well done I love it, but if my dad says to me that he is going to be staining the red oak the air would have turned blue of all colours and I would have turned red, convince your dad to use a Polyx® Oil clear coat it will make the grain pop and it's waterproof for those wet umbrellas etc!

    Pretty cool joinery with the legs, it makes it look like they’re 2x2 material!

    Excellent design and well executed! Would you ever worry about water in the bottom soaking into the wood?

    • @WesHamstra
      @WesHamstra  4 года назад

      I would assume that they would be dry when they get placed in there. Bottom is only screwed in. It could easily be replaced if that was the case. Thanks!
