    I see you've upgraded to the Alu Cab Canopy Camper. Are you able to install/remove it like this one? Does it have a stand similar to this for the garage?

    • @msoverland
      @msoverland  Год назад

      You can remove it but not nearly as easily as the Khaya was. The Canopy Camper is designed to be more of a semi-permanent install. I've seen some remove it seasonally but its not worth the effort IMHO.

    What, if anything has to be done to the suspension on the gen3 Taco for these Khayas? I actually like the new Alu-Cab Canopy camper because of the lighter weight, but I like the fact that the Khaya is modular. Thanks for the video. I'd love to see a "likes/dislikes" vid of this camper.

    Hey, got a question for you, have you used the Khaya when not on the truck? Basically drove to your camp spot, taken off the camper, slept out of it for a few days, and then pack it up again? I want to do a 4 wheel camper but they say they don't make them for a Jeep gladiator. Curious if this is an option for me. Thanks!

    I'm guessing the long bed versions just use two straps, they don't seem to have that hitch/turnbuckle arrangement.

    Hey great Video
    How you like it?
    Would you buy it again?
    How much is this set up?around
    With the tacoma trd pro you think i have to upgrade the suspension or is fine

    • @msoverland
      @msoverland  4 года назад

      Love it! I would buy it again. I prefer the slide-in vs. canopy option for reasons of having a truck bed back when I want it. Base model starts at $14.9K. You'll need progressive bumpstops or air bags to handle this camper. Thanks for watching!

    It's a shame they don't create a hitch anchor for the turnbuckles that still allows a pass through for the receiver to be used for a hitch carrier or small trailer.

    • @msoverland
      @msoverland  5 лет назад

      We now have a solution for the bike hitch. Yeah, this is the only down fall with the shortbed Tacoma. The long beds utilize anchor bolts in the bed.

      @@msoverland I'm doing the EL096Rs and the airbags as well for my Khaya. I was going back and forth between the 95s and the 96s, but decided on the 96s. Glad to see someone else went that route. Rin said theirs has the 95s. How has that been with the camper off -- are the 96s really stiff unloaded or do they still flex ok? thanks

    Pro-Tip for anyone with a Khaya if you are wondering where to get the drill bit Jason was using you can find it here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GOPC26/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
    Saves 30-35min of time getting the Khaya boosted up or down when loading or unloading. Great video Jason and maybe you could put this link in the description so people can find it easier if they are in the same boat I was when watching the video. =)

    I nearly bought a TRD Pro Tacoma but ended up with a Colorado ZR2. It would fare well in a head to head against a Pro, I'm not a Taco hater but want to show people what other options are out there. If you want to see 20 Colorado ZR2, AEV Bison Editions, a V8 swapped ZR2 and a utility box from General Motors engineering team, check out our video from last weekend on Drummond Island, Michigan. We'd love to get some TRD Pros to wheel with! ruclips.net/video/lQq_r4SvRI0/видео.html

    christ! do you have a large grow operation inside the camper? that wire and connectors is 20 times what is needed

    • @msoverland
      @msoverland  5 лет назад +2

      Managing voltage drop over 35' of cable between the battery and the inverter. We have a high power demand charging equipment and the manufacturer of the inverter recommended 1 wire for our install. The inverter kicks off at 11.1V so a smaller wire wouldn't have given us optimal charge time when parked with the vehicle off.

      @@msoverland if you can handle more wire, it's always better to go with an oversized gauge.
