The ones who oversee what "country music" gets played/promoted, are just as woke as the ones who oversee the dying film industry.
They don't want soul affirming music or film, they want all entertainment to be (quite literally) robotic, ugly, and overtly sexual.
But if you dig around a little, there's still some damn good country music being made.
(it's just not being promoted😉).
His era was the last real country. In my probably less than qualified opinion.

Maybe no nakedness in his music and a story, but you should watch his own personal naked, drunken story of his own arrest video. He crashed his truck naked, got special treatment of sitting in the front of a cop car and then used is clout and entitlement for that special treatment while threatening an officer’s life. He was even praying that the cop would die a horrible death and telling the cop that he will die that day. The cop was calm the whole time. The video was released despite Travis trying to stop it. I love his music however, his behavior had put a different taste in my mouth.

He came and sang at our church and gave his testimony when three wooden crosses came out. I have listened to him for years. Cds are in my mini van. Loved him on touched by and angel, especially the last episode. My prayers are with him. I thank him for sharing his wonderful voice and story.
Loved listening to him ever since the first song. I've seen three times, countless sweatshirts that I wore out not to mention cassette tapes and cds. I just hope that he somehow knows that there are so many of us that will always care about him. I'm reading his book. It's so beautiful.

I was a teenage mother and lost custody of my two daughters in 1985. When this song came out I cried to it. I wondered if my daughters would reject me after years of not being their mother. This song still breaks my heart. One daughter has accepted me into her life. The other has struggled to find a place for me. I love them both. This song brings it all back.

This is when you have to work harder to keep the love alive. I think we all go through the same feelings. Take time to spend special times with each other. We take eac other for granted and we should not do that. Remember your first date anniversary. Go somewhere special with just the two of you. A walk in a park and set up a meal outside with wine or beer whatever you like and dance close. Give each other that first date kiss. Every chance you get do something with just the two of you. You both have to be willing but as I said work at it and you can get the magic back. I did, on a trip to Gatlinburg TN . We made it 52 years and he passed away. Wish I had your problem. Best wishes and love each other.

Awe, I love Randy. Always did. Always will. I hurts my heart that the stroke he suffered has taken this classic man from himself & his fans. I wish him well always & feel priviledge that he has been a part of my life! I saw him so many years ago when Alan Jackson actually opened for him! Imagine that show! God bless you, Randy! What a frigging horrible shame that he had such a stroke. But I also had a stroke when I was 27 years old. After I had two open heart Operations and A stent. Today I have most of my ability's except math. I know I worked hard to be here today. If I can do it so can Randy.
