Thank you for sharing "how to use" the Tombow Mono Graph Mechanical Pencil! I've had mine for a month now, but didn't know how to use it! Appreciate your kindness!
thank you soo much! i could not figure out how to refill my pencil and i ended up breaking the eraser in the process.. (as in, i cant put the eraser back into the hole) but thank you so much!!!! this video helped so much
I've been sat here for 15 minutes trying to reload this pencil lol. I had no idea the top popped off! I love this pencil though, beyond my favorite I own!
I guess as long as you were able to draw with it, you must have been doing something right! Hehe! I'm glad I could help. I thought if I had a hard time figuring it out, other people might too. Thanks for watching.
I figured everything but shaking for the lead to come out and i was suprised that the pencil can do that tried to figure out but couldn't so your video helped a lot thx❤
The instructions were in Japanese so I was having trouble with the little drawings on the packaging but I didn't wanna damage it so thanks a lot for this video
I bought one online and when it’s own lead was gone I purchase new lead that was 0.5 from staples because it says it need 0.5 lead but now it can’t get out the lead- how do I fix it?
Bummer! I'm pretty sure you got the right size, it's weird. How did you put the new lead in? Do you know that to do it properly, you need to pull out the black rubbery part that you normally twist to get the eraser to come out? Just hold it and pull it out and see if the lead with come out from this end. If not, try putting another lead in it to see if it would help push out the lead that is stuck inside. If all fails, you can unscrew the metal bit where the lead usually come out when you draw with it. I hope this helps.
sandrinesgallery actually recently my friend who is very talented in fixing pencils XD just simply took off the front part and dumped the clogged lead out- then bam done. Idk how she got the front part off tho, that is imPossibLe.
There is also something that i found out: When you dont like the rattle of the metal barrel in the pen you can simply let the barrel fall to the eraser side of the pen before locking it. The barrel will be stucked in place because of that and wont make an noices anymore.
I don't think you can. I know you can unscrew the metal end but from there, maybe you can run water through it to clean it? Just make sure it's dry before you use it again.
@@Sandrinesgallery Instead of water, use a non pointed needle, in the brass clutch, shake out the dust, repeat four or five times.. OR Take off the eraser part and shake the dust out from behind.
Try to unscrew the metal bit the lead comes out of. Make sure you don't put too many leads in the mechanical pencil at a time. I never put more than two. I often only put one at a time.
Most mechanical pencil have the injector at the end but this one at the clip, so you please the clip on like you always do, and take a lead and insert it from the tip, and the one that is stuck will fell back inside.
Yes they have eraser refills, I just ordered some for my 2 pencils like this. I also ordered the 2B tombow lead refills on sale on Amazon. They have 3 tubes with 40 pieces of lead in each tube for 4.92. The erasers you need to get are Tombow Mono Graph Eraser Refill (ER-MG), White.
Hello, I've been using mine for months but suddenly the lead won't come out no matter how many I put it. Do you have a solution for that? Thank you in advance
@@Sandrinesgallery, hello, I just saw your reply. I dont put too many leads (I usually put 1-2 leads inside). How do I open the metal? Thankyou so much for your answer
thanks for video i wanna ask that actually i have same pencil when i shake it the clip gets stuck a little and if i shake hard it even gets lock is that normal
hi! i have one and have been using for months. i accidentally left it where it got squished and the little tip of the pencil got crooked. The leads would just break when I put them in. do you have any idea how to fix this? thanks!
Here's my solution for this so I just try to bend it again the table to make it straight and make sure I don't break the tip and don't force to much check every time and make sure it's straight. I make sure by looking through it by the inside if I see through the other side means it is probably straight already hope it helps. :)
FidgetTech said what I was going to. You can try with pliers as well. But I think it's a pretty precise tip, and if bending it back in the right position doesn't work, I'm afraid it's time to buy a new one.
Hello, I put lead in the top of my shaker pencil, but it wasn’t coming out no matter how hard it pushed or shake. It was unlocked, but I just had to feed the lead in through the writing part is there anyway I can fix that
LOL, I figured it might help someone at some point, seeing how clueless I was when I first got it. I like this mechanical pencil very much, but never use the weird features. I don't think they're necessary.
You need to slide the clip down, towards the tip of the pencil. Let me know if you have more questions. I use it quite often, but never use the strange options that I find useless.
Hi! I got the Tombrow Mono Graph Pencil, and it has a lock feature so that lead does not come when it shakes in a backpack, car, etc. The problem I have however, is that when I do shake the pencil to get more lead out of it, it just got in to the lock and doesn’t allow lead. Do you know why this is happening ?
Sorry, I only have the mono graph shaker, which is the one described in this video. But a quick search on the internet tells me that the graph one doesn't have the shaker's option of just shaking the lead out of the pencil. I personally do not like the skaker option and never use it. So I would go for the graph one. But that's just me. Plus it has a clicker on the side which seems pretty practical. I think that the mono graph doesn't have either option (shaker or clicker on the side of the barrel). Hope this helps.
Hey , my tombow lead didn't come out. I was so scared if my tombow jammed or what 😢 I tried to do what you commented in other comment but still doesn't work... I hope you can answer this ASAP !
Are you sure there is still one in there? Maybe it's jammed. Try holding the pencil from the eraser end and flicking it with the other end to try and dislodge it.
You aren't supposed to shake it to death. This is what makes it jam up, and it can even break the lead. Nor do you have any control over how much lead comes out. Just ONE quick snap is all you should do. If that isn't enough, do just ONE more. If that doesn't work, buy a better pencil, and there are many better shaker pencils on the market.
I found this video because I wasn't sure on how to refill the pencil with lead. Thanks for the info!

Does this have the same eraser as the mono graph one?
My guess is that since they are all Mono products, they probably all have a Mono eraser. But I might be wrong.
Can I add more than one lead at a time?
Yes
