Don't know why you chose campaign, you can do it more easily by choosing submission when signed out and then quickly sign in to your account. It will unfreeze your account but you will be reset to rank 1 but please note you will lose your achievement progress /stats etc. 👍
THis is 2021 and my 3 disc copies of Gears 2 will not work. Just bought a digital copy today and still will not play. It just keeps freezing. I'll never understand why. No one will help, they all STILL act like they've never heard of the problem. But that XBox mini fridge is coming out though huh?
Mine lets me press start then crashes when i go on mtiplayer and the screen goes black. If i sign out and go on the game then go on multiplayer it works then i sign in and it lets me press multiplayer but when i search a game it will crash at character select or when loading the map. I can only play splitscreen when my brother clicks multiplayer then i sign in and it takes us back to menu then it lets us play one game without freezing
I fixed by doing something similar to this i logged into a different account went on training grounds signed out and signed into my glitched account It deleted all my progress and rank but at least it wprks properley now Just dont play splitscreen and it wont happen

Maybe you should try running the game through a different profile?
