- This is a quick video on how to check the transmission fluid on 2014 Jeep Cherokee 3.2 liter. We use a snap on scan tool, fluid chart from Mitchell, and special dipstick tool to make this video.
Well the procedure is as I expected... But what a royal pain in the grits. Also I was wondering if the dipstick I had would work ... Appreciate the video
Hello, sir, your video was a lot more helpful than some of the other stuff I found. Only question is what do I look for, just a flexible dip with mm markings then? Thanks in advance
Ope I just searched on Amazon for “Jeep 2016 Cherokee limited transmission dip stick” and I found it
Hi how are you? I have a question of hoping you can help me with but first of all thank you for taking the time and making out this video. I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk. I had the local garage flush the transmission fluid they told me they got maybe four quarts out of it. After receiving it back and driving around for 2 days I noticed the transmission temperature is hotter than what it was previous the transmission always stayed around 160 to 165 but after having fluid change I am now 170 to 180 something. How do I know if they put enough fluid in or overfilled it either one can cause the transmission to get hot. Is there something I should worry about with the transmission temperature being higher than before. After putting in new fluid.
Thank you
@@ritchiemarsteller8884 The first thing to do is verify the fluid level is correct.
What's the dice of the tool hex bit socket, we need size of tool
It’s a hex socket. Can’t remember exact size. I know it’s metric.
Did you check with engine running?
Yes while it’s running.
