So, do you think you got any gains? Can you really feel a difference. Why don't you just order one of those AMS performance packages? I was thinking about the Red Alpha Stage 3 package.
You should get tuned asap running that 3inch ldp or don’t drive too heavy footed. I had my downpipes for about a month without being tuned. But never drove too crazy.
Lower DPs are safe without a tune but Full DPs definitely need a tune to avoid overboosting. However to make the best use of them I’ll be getting a tune hopefully mid this year !
Yo I got a question first time owning a q50 if I get the ams LDPS do I have to do a muffler delete to achieve the same sound as you or is that not needed??
@@torvarrisevans9334 hmm that’s interesting cause red sports have turbo speed sensors so that should help prevent anything but it’s up to you, I think it’s safe to install before tune but you can wait till you get a catback and tune
Third that, mine replaced with 10x less sound. They are not supposed to sound like a drill. your Seals are gone and its going to rub the impeller against the housing which will ultimately cause catastrophic failure. Take your driver side intake down to the rubber inlet with clamp off, then take your phone and look at the oil in the turbo. The passenger side is much harder to get to. Your 2019 under powertrain till 70k miles. Turbos will make boost even with ruptured seals, so not in good health.
😂. Just install it yourself. If I can install 3 inch full downpipes with 7 inches of ground clearance you can easily do the lower downpipes. Just buy pb blaster. That’s if you haven’t done it yet
get my q50 in 2 months so ready for this journey
Nice! What mods you planning on doing first?
@@Ghost.q50 downpipe ,maybe ams intakes and a cat back exhaust
u get the q50 yet?

Will it throw a cell without tune? Hard to get a tuned car smogged where I live.
@@savagefriezaq50 No as long the 02 sensors don’t get damaged during install
Nice! Are your rims tors vr4's?
Yes they are! Currently running 20x8.5 in the front and 20x9.5 in the rear
@@Ghost.q50 do you mind if I ask what the offset for the fronts are? And are you awd?
@@BlaQBetty2018 front and rear are both +35mm and no I’m RWD
Where you got the pipes cause I know it wasn’t off the site
It was through AMS website but when I got them they were on a short back order

Hey bro , will this cause boost spike to my red sport
It should not, only full downpipes are known for overboosting
@@Ghost.q50 Because I just bought my 3inch lower Downpipes but I heard some tuners said it may cause boost spike for the red sport
Am wondering whether if I should install them or hold off a bit until I get my full exhaust and a tune in the future

Shop u went to in Phx?
Nah this shop is in FL
They’re called S&S located in Jacksonville
Hey buddy, that noise sounds like turbos going out... but i could be mistaken
Turbos are still in good condition! Fingers crossed they stay healthy 😅
Second that, had that same sound. 2k miles after that white smoke at idle...replaced under warranty. If you still have a warranty get it checked out

@@arkyr1570 Thanks!
Mine has sounded the exact same since i bought it and it’s been fine, idk what year his is but mines a 2016
The torque specs for the pulley is 37ft lbs.
Thank you! Hopefully going to be installing tomorrow
@Ghost.q50 it's a straightforward job ,just remember the belt pattern and you should be fine.
Damn my local exhaust told me they won’t put em on it’s illegal
