      Todd is the best in HoMM3 HotA meta, nothing can match his abilities.
      If it was best inferno hero, I would chose either marius or ayden.

      Nice! Would you please share Ayden's best advantage aside from the endless mana? I might be losing something here 🤔

      @@herohustle3 "Endless Mana" in itself is a game breaking attribute if you ask me. You can do resurrection, summon blind, crazy mobility with town portal and dimension door , armageddon spam, everything. The longer the game goes on, the more it favors spellcasters with vast mana pool. Ayden gets there earlier, thanks to his special talent.
      It also counters events which would be detrimental to your creature banks (lack of resources or plague) so you can still come out on top.

    Dang, I cannot remember an Inferno game when I have seen a stack of Imps/Familiars not turned into demons.

    • @herohustle3
      @herohustle3  7 дней назад

      Thank you for the comment - it really means a lot! I actually love keeping my Imps with me throughout the game. They’re so useful, not just early on but also in the late game, especially with their versatility in battles. There are so many different strategies you can use depending on the situation, and that’s what makes Inferno so fun to play!
      What about you? Do you always go straight for Demon farming, or do you have other strategies for Inferno that you prefer? I’d love to hear your take!

    • @TheMelquart
      @TheMelquart 7 дней назад

      It depends on the hero I start with. Marius would demon farm, Ayden would do efreti rush + armageddon. Olema on a small map to beeline for other castles. With the update, her weakness specialist skills are useful combined with ballistics.
      Nymus is a good one for the demon wall tactics. It would use the demons in tough battles as a damage magnet and then resurrect them all again.
      I use familiars only as 1 stacks for my army to leech mana and take away enemy retaliation. Imps are always getting turned into demons alongside the hounds.

    • @herohustle3
      @herohustle3  7 дней назад

      Wow, I absolutely love the depth in your strategies - thank you for sharing! Demon farming with Marius and the Efreeti rush + Armageddon combo with Ayden (who I strongly dislike, lol) are such iconic Inferno plays, and I agree, they really depend on the hero you start with.
      Using Nymus for the demon wall tactic is brilliant - it’s a creative way to handle tough battles. I haven’t thought much about Olema since the update, but that Weakness specialist buff sounds really fun to try, especially combined with Ballistics!
      Your approach to using Familiars as 1-stacks for mana leech and retaliation control is so practical. I’ll admit, I do love holding onto my Imps and Familiars, but turning them into Demons alongside Hounds is hard to argue against - it’s just so satisfying! However, I find myself doing so only in only in extreme cases.
      Are there any Inferno heroes you feel are underrated or don’t get enough love in the community? I’d love to hear more about your thoughts! BTW, I am preparing a Marius review as well.

    I like Rashka. Reason is he is almost most counter intuitive hero in game. Why? He starts with wisdom and scholar even so he is fighter class he has those purely because he is from efreet creatures himself. Efreet heroes have always wisdom. My goal with him is to reach blind spell and some attack spell. I push hard spell power high. If i get curse and bloodlust that is great. I very much want those to. My primary idea is to be highly mobile on map of adventure. While army is weak i want to use curse or blind to mitigate losses in battles. If it is suitable i use bloodlust on dogs or magogs. Because he is demoniac there is very high chance he will get logistics and offense. Blind helps to divide and conquer same like curse. If blind is expert units do not retaliate but even without that it could help to reduce dmg of retaliation. As weak as inferno is depending on situation i adapt the strategy. I do not skip to build cages for dogs hence those are speedy unit and later i could transfer losses to demon gains. With inferno it is like with gambling you need to always know when and how to use their losses to their advantages. So later on if it is possible i focus on pit lords and efreets. My expectation is that hero will eventually get some knowledge to increase mana. Also i expect to get some other heroes from tavern who has spells which i can learn without building magic tower. Spells like fire wall are also welcome anytime because i do not skip on fire magic i have it strong and can use it same way as Luna use it. So everything depends on these variables. Also i want devils. Bloodlust, offense and slayer for devils make them gain 100% bigger damage against all level 7 units in game without loosing defensive stats like with frenzy. Additionally i would like to build and use castle gate as soon as possible in case of additional inferno town. Solely for reason that i want to gather as much higher level units from faction as possible. Demons, pits, efreets and devils. Upgrade only one town and that alone save money to pay for castle gates.
    So as you can see strategy looks all over the place but in reality is focus on very quick and expansive gameplay. You are quick on map of adventure, you do not return to town to learn spells (rashka learn them from other heroes), you debilitating other creatures and once in a while you cast strong attacking spells and yes i like also mysticism for that reason that it keep you going and gives you tempo.
    Also like Zydar because his specialty works with efreets also. It increases power of their fire shields and also it increases dmg of spells. Easy to learn mysticism in his case.

      Rashka is definitely a challenging hero to play-starting with Wisdom and Scholar but no spell book? WTF, haha! 😄 That alone makes him such an oddball for Inferno.
      I noticed you mentioned using Bloodlust on Magogs, but keep in mind that Bloodlust is used for melee units, not ranged ones like Magogs. You might want to rethink that spell choice unless you’re using them in melee situations, but even then, it’s a bit niche.
      By the way, I have a video on the best first-week build for Inferno at 160% difficulty, based on my experience. You can check it out here: ruclips.net/video/oZQWcFeaalg/видео.html
      One of the best things about Inferno creatures is that 6 out of their 7 units only take up one square on the battlefield. While they might be easy to surround, their smaller size makes them highly mobile, great for sneaking out of tight spots, and excellent for navigating the field efficiently.
      I really like your strategy! We have slightly different rulesets when I play against my opponent, though. Have you read them yet? I’d love to hear what you think about them.
      I also agree that Scholar is super valuable when you’re avoiding sticking around your main town-it’s a great tempo skill in the right hands.
      As for Zydar, he’s a strange hero, in my opinion. Since I lean more toward fighters than wizards, I once tried playing Zydar as a warrior-no joke! There was a university near my main town that offered Offense, Armorer, and Logistics. Guess what? I turned him into an insanely strong wizard-warrior combo. 😂 Sometimes the most unconventional builds are the most fun!
      Thanks for your comment!

      @ yeah that’s the thing. Imo inferno is like that everything you do with them is made indirectly. Like imps are weak so you need to curse enemies or blind to get then better chance in fights but in such weak spot you are at begging of the game even magogs could help to fight in melee if necessary. Their penalty should be 50% percent but with bloodlust and offense they get 60% boost which somewhat eliminates their weakness to fight its niche but they have also specialist in spell bloodlust. Also I believe that army of fighters is preferable i do not mind to have shooters but I found out that they are, at least in my eyes, liability and are most of the time squishy and enemy AI use to beat them down. So i go with the flow and prepare myself accordingly.
      I prefer fighter heroes over magical here also. But inferno has that funny thing that their magic ones still tend to increase attack and defense skills. So it takes more time to develop them into stronger casters but in the same time they tend to fight better then let say clerics or wizards and that i consider advantage hence attack and defense skills are desirable for final fights.
      For me is all about the fact that 80-95% of fights are against random creatures on map of adventure. So that means most of the time units of opponent are not supported by hero attack and defense skills and like real evil should be you need to exploit any enemy disadvantage and weaknesses. 😈
      I know about rule set you mentioned it couple of times. I agree on use of dimensional door. While i wish that they move it from air magic to fire and let it be: water walk for water magic, fly for air magic, town portal for earth magic and dm for fire. (Devils teleport and inferno has castle gates which teleport you around their town so thematically it fit and also not sure about developers choice to put fly and dm into one school of magic was a good idea overall.)
      Rashka is tricky but just one random necklace, with lava ground and his specialty made efreets has speed 3+ to their normal average. Now new patch made specialist even stronger then they were before. But i guess he could starts falling off as game progress because if you gain some momentum with him at the end it is questionable if it will be enough because in final fight he can lack some valuable secondary skills that is true.

      @@petervlcko4858 Wow, that Dimension Door move to Fire Magic really caught my eye! It is such a reasonable remark! Good job on that.
      I agree with Rashka's disadvantages, though. He is not that good at picking secondary skills, too, from my experience. It is definitely not a beginner hero.

      @ truth is he is demoniac so he will almost for sure get logistic and offense. All demoniacs have high percentage of getting those.
