- This week on the pod, Rob is joined by rising star Máiréad Tyers. Rob finds out how Máiréad got into acting and what it was like being cast by Kenneth Branagh, in his Oscar winning film, Belfast. The pair also discuss Máiréad’s first leading role in the Disney+ superhero series, Extraordinary. As well as their upcoming parts in the new fantasy period drama, My Lady Jane.

Máiréad is fantastic in Extraordinary. She has so much charisma. I stumbled upon the show and ended up binge watching the 2 seasons!
Máiréad was brilliant in Extraordinary (as was everyone else). Can't wait for the second season.
Also "sneaking Hiddleston in the back door" sounds like a delightfully British euphemism.

Máiréad is SO incredible in Extraordinary- the whole cast, script AND musical score is beyond amazing. We stumbled on the first season and binged it. Went to watch it again a week later and were *delighted* bc they released the 2nd season. Now I'm soooo anxiously awaiting the 3rd season.
As an American, I'm always happy to hear how to pronounce names like Mairead's. I wasn't even close in my stab at it. Great show, Rob.

If you see a line above a vowel, it makes it a long vowel. Á is aw, é is eyy, í is ee, ó is oh, ú is oooh.
I loved Extraordinary. Really an unexpectedly funny and charming show, thanks largely to Máiréad. I also love how most of the episode synopses contain the word "Jizzlord".
Loved Extraordinary and can't wait for season 2!
