Great stuff as always Sam. I love your lighthearted nature. It's an important message; get what you need, use what you've got, get stuff done! I'd have liked a bit of footage of you doing the installation while wearing the Iris Vision. Maybe you could get some if you install one at home.

Yes, I know! I wish I could have gotten some footage but I was the only one there and forgot to bring a tripod that day! LOL. If I do it again, I’ll definitely get some extra footage!

Thanks for this channel:) Lin

Awesome Sam! This is a subject matter I'd love to see more videos on... That is DIY for the visually impaired. I work a lot with tools and this is always a struggle maybe you can do other Home DIY projects and show adaptations that make them possible. Thank you Sam great video!

I’ll keep that in mind, although there isn’t much to do in this house! When we moved here, we purposely got a new construction house so we wouldn’t have to do the renovating that we did at our last place.

Sam, I have to say, I'm all about using whatever it takes to get the job done. That Iris is a great tool to have but most of us can't afford that high a priced device. I'm saying that to say, it would be great if we could justify needing something like that to our VR counselors. How much did the Nest cost? I look forward to all your videos. Keep up the good work you do brother.

I understand man, some of these things are pretty expensive. However, I can’t exclude things from my channel just because they’re expensive, especially if they work. I try to show a range of products on the channel in different price points. I believe the nest cost around $160, not sure for certain though.

Great vid...I love to build computers, but find it challenging to do with my low vision.
I am going to check out the iris vision, but a cheaper version for me at this time are VR glasses with a camera opening

I think it would work great for that as long as you have good light. There is a Samsung app that is free and uses the gear VR which will do basically the same thing. It’s called relume a no but unfortunately you need a galaxy S7 or eight for it to work. I’m looking into seeing if I can get my hands on one forever review.

Have you had any luck procuring this combination, Sam? As a stand alone device it would be had the price if it works. Looking forward to your review as always!

Sam, this is great! I sometimes need to make minor adjustments to my flute, but can't see the mechanism very well. IRIS Vision might give me a way to do this kind of fine work with both my hands free. I've tried various magnifiers that you can clip onto glasses, but the video magnifier would be better for this.

Yes, it should work great for that as well, as long as you have good light.

Unfortunately I don’t, sorry. Maybe someone else in the comments can help with that.
