Just in case your wondering how the the Sepang pole times have evolved from 1999 to 2017 . The pole time today was 9.612 seconds faster than the very first Sepang pole set by Michael Schumacher for the this first Malaysian GP in 1999.

    • @ryanjonathanmartin3933

His steering inputs are actually quite aggressive. In the early days of his F1 career, especially during the KERS era, he was known for wearing down his tires much more quickly than others, including his then-teammate Jenson Button. Since then though he's learned to work with his engineers to extract insane performance from the Pirelli tires. Sure, in the second half of the 2013 season Pirelli did release harder compounds because many drivers experienced tire blowouts during races, but the compounds are still softer than the old Bridgestones. Hamilton had learned how the Pirellis perform and that is one of his main advantages: his ability to learn new techniques and adapt them to his driving style very quickly.

All season it is been said and proven by data that Ferrari has overall better car, in corners, behind others cars, they don't degrade tires that fast and so on, main thing is suspension, while Mercedes have pathetic rear suspension, making car always oversteer, lose grip and slide, have to avoid curbs as much as possible, and that is the main thing why Ferrari is overall better car, comparing cam drives and data footage it is been said Ferrari drives like on train tracks it is that good, but it is Mercedes fault by trying to have different low angled suspension since season start and that was a mistake, now they can't change it until next season. Mercedes have +3-5 km/h top speed, that is it, yet a lot of guy still states the old news that Mercedes dominated because of the car, yet even Ferrari said that they have a better car. Anyways, would be interesting to see what lap times Hamilton would crank in a Ferrari.

Lewis, as a craziest fan of you from Malaysia, I have a song for you to celebrate your 70th pole (most importantly, this popular song is also in Malay language):
"Jampi" (Hael Huzaini; courtesy of ASTRO Malaysia and ERA FM)
    Bermula pandangan pertama,
    Terlihat kamu di depan mata,
    Terasa debar di dada,
    Menahan rasa bila kau ada,
    Kau buat aku terpaku,
Sepertinya diriku yang mahu diri kamu,
Dan bila kamu hadir bagai satu misteri,
    Ternyata diriku bagai sudah dijampi,
Dan bila kau dambakan hatiku kembali,
Ternyata hanya kau harus aku cintai!
    Ha ha ha, aku ketawa!
    Terasa aku tak tentu arah,
    Kau buat aku terpaku,
Sepertinya diriku yang mahu diri kamu,
Dan bila kau hadir bagai satu misteri,
    Ternyata diriku bagai sudah dijampi,
Dan bila kau dambakan hatiku kembali,
Ternyata hanya kau harus aku cintai!
    Malam berganti malam,
Masih terbayang apa yang berlaku pada diriku,
    Ternyata kamu,
Ternyata kau mahu diriku selama kau milikku!
Dan bila kau hadir bagai satu misteri,
    Ternyata diriku bagai sudah dijampi,
Dan bila kau dambakan hatiku kembali,
Ternyata hanya kau harus aku cintai!
    Dan bila...
    Ternyata...
    Yang aku cintai! (2x)

I don't understand why they don't use the close up camera they had in Australia and Austria, gives a much greater sense of speed.......

Hamilton chose to have the old, slower aero package while Bottas chose the new, supposedly faster one and outqualified bottas by seven tenths while also having electronic issues. Incredible race instinct and driving.

Al Catpone They don't choose it. Engineers decide those things

No, watch the interview. Lewis went back to the old package while bottas had the new package.

Carlos Piedra Nope Hamilton decided to run the old one cause he didn't feel confident with the new one.

Al Catpone And today was demonstrated that the old package was faster than the new one. Bottas said he couldn't go any faster and he was too much slower.

What a great angle! I always wanted to have half the view blocked. What happened to sticking it in the middle somewhere? Did one of the bosses get something stuck up their middle and have to change it?

Thought Kimi had a chance today as well. He's had about as much success as the Force India's in terms of getting a win. Even Verstappen managed to get the rub of the green today.

We need T-Cam Liberty Media! You are not truly great until we get T-Cam, Telemetry and ERS usage. This camera is horrible. AND DON'T ARGUE THAT YOU HAVE IT THAT WAY 'SO WE CAN SEE THE DRIVER AT WORK'.

  • @22jb29
    @22jb29 7 лет назад +10

Once again stupid shoulder cam and no telemetry. I don't understand who thought at the beginning of this season that showing the pole laps from a much worse camera angle without the speedometer is a good idea. Maybe that's the only good thing about the halo that it will make the shoulder cam unwatchable so they will be forced to use the t-cam.
