I am German and I know MÅNESKIN from ESC 2021. I voted for them and I'm glad they won. LOVEBITES is the best playing heavy metal band in the world at the moment, whether men or women.Two bands that secure what we love: Rock and Heavy Metal.I would be happy if both bands finally had worldwide success in 2022.They really deserve it.

Coralise is a most flavoured blend of Music and Poetry. A true masterpiece that rises emotions, touches hearts. Most of the songs from maneskin where written when they where just kids. I expect a lot from next album. They have incredible talent and if Damiano deserves all the attention he gathers I suggest not to underestimate Thomas and Ethan, they are amazing. As for Vic she created the band and brings a mix of beauty, energy and boldness that's excellent to see.

The castle they sing at the end of "Coraline" is Verano Cemetery in Rome (Maneskin city) because entrance looks exactly like a Castle, after father abused her "Coraline" understands that the only way to escape from this life is to suicide.

Two great songs, for different reasons. Lovebites for the high energy and amazing talents. Måneskin for the beautiful lyrics of a tragic event, similar to the country song "Alyssa Lies", which is also based on a real event.

It’s always nice seeing the face in owe of those who react to Lovebites for the first time. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile great musicians. Loudest and greatest.
This was the intro to their encore, after they had already done a 90-minute set at high intensity. It was followed by three songs including Hammer. So...Congratulations on finding the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age.
Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miho and Miyako have composed most of their music, in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer, but Midori has also been getting into the act. Asami writes a lot of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. and aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and at this point they’ve taken it to another level.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands.
Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. I know both bands, so such a unusual pairing of thrash metal song and progressive rock song respectively caught my attention. Lovebites are amazing in their pure look of white playing heavy stuffs with incredible tecnical skills. One of the best thrash/power metal I've heard in last 40 years. Måneskin are amazing too, they are eclectics, unbounded by single genre/style. Your deep feeling on Coraline wasn't expected, you are awesome.

I wanted to tell you this: I'm Italian, I live in Rome and a few years ago it was easy to find the Maneskin in the streets of the center of Rome, singing like street performers. The people always stopped enchanted with their music! Today, here in Rome, we're waiting for the world to release them to go home (Maneskin, tornate a casa...), and see their show.

That's why Coraline is masterpiece. Because everyone could be on simliar situation of the girl that Damiano mentioned in this song. This song make me cry to and is very rare when i listen music. great reaction on caroline and lovebites, as a fan of classic rock not necessarily hard rock i must say both bands are amazing, but maneskin have a talent that their ballads are pure masterpieces and when they want to rock their just amazing . as a spaniard i prefer maneskin sing in italian than english because their italian songs are more passion and masterpieces and i understand some words.

I loved your reaction to the metal goddesses. Holy War or recently Set the World on Fire actually seem like the most common introduction to Lovebites, but this is not bad either. There is a lot to explore.
It depends which group of reactors she was following. Reactions from before 2020, Hammer of Wrath and Shadowmaker were the biggest introduction songs. Post 2020, it became Holy War and When Destinies Align last year, and Winds of Transylvania and Glory to the World this year (with Holy War still trending very high), and most recently it has been Set the World on Fire, since it only came out a few weeks ago. So it really just depends of which era of reactors she was looking at.
