These women continue to get better with every new offering...I can't wait for this Blu-ray to land on my doorstep in September. The amazing thing is how humble these girls are. They always give credit to their influences like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Helloween, Slayer etc., but honestly, they have surpassed all those bands. Their songwriting is better, and in sheer virtuosity they are in uncharted territory. It's like all the great old bands were gangs fighting it out with six-shooters, and this new gang showed up in dresses, packing phasers.
Too bad they were under Covid Rules. (Half capacity, Assigned seats, probably clapping only) This would have been much better with some audience participation. Said it before but I absolutely Love their Thrash catalog. 🤘✌️
I'm worried because Miho's departure is going to leave a terrible void and the girls are going to have to find a suitable replacement and it's not going to be easy because everyone knows Miho's crazy talent. I wish them good luck in finding. And good luck to Miho for the rest of his career. She is so talented!
What is still amazing about Lovebites is regardless of where this song was in the set list, after playing at full speed for six minutes and Asami using her voice to the full, none of them look tired or panting and no beads of sweat. There must be something in the water in Japan! It is my understanding that Lovebites are considering what happens next. Should they decide to find another bassist, well dare I say that Japan has many talented musicians and in the respect of someone who can play the bass part, they will be ok for that. As for replacing Miho permanently, that is fundamentally different as she not only formed the band with Haruna but also writes songs and performs in a way we all love.
Departure of Miho... ok, but what about Mao, who is very close to Miho and who composes and/or arranges many of their songs ? You will have noticed that he has very few songs with a Miyako/Mao collaboration...
MIHO is the genius behind the band for putting everything together. Also she's the one who brought back HARUNA from her quiet life as a married woman after Destrose went on hiatus. She also recruited MiYAKO and MIDORI and later she talked with ASAMI and put together what we are seeing now.
I'm glad to see that these ladies are back and are now searching for a new bassist, I have a feeling that once they can finally do a N. American tour they are going to blow up BIG TIME, there aren't to many Asian bands that have broken the international barrier but a few have (Such as Dir En Grey, Chthonic, and Crossfaith) so it's not impossible they have already done a slew of eroupean festivals which were highly successful for them, they just need a touring festival here in the to help them get there name out, Crossfaith did it with The Warped Tour, and Chthonic did it with ozzfest, onething that will definitely help them though is that all of their lyrics are in English.

My hope LOVEBITES' hiatus isn't like Destrose's. Destrose has been on indefinite hiatus since 2015. Miho and Haruna were the heart of the band.
