Yes. PMK has 20% in 6 Assembly seats. But this is Parliamentary Election. You need 20% in all 5 or 6 assembly seats within the Parliamentary constituency to say they will get 20% in that constituency. Even if 20%, they cannot think of fighting DMK or ADMK who will get the range of 30 to 35% each. DMK alliance parties get 2% each making them 45 to 50%. ADMK - 25 to 30% NTK 7 to10%. Another problem for NDA is that PMK's ground has zero BJP voters. BJP's ground has zero PMK voters.

The alliance does carry over votes across this time, if not, in full. Thats the ground level work they did. Moreover DMK never had 35% votes which is why they never face and election alone. Its their alliance that matters. Same thing with BJP alliance also. So it's not DMK 30-35% vs PMK solo. Moreover there is 10% or more anti-incumbency this time due to corruption, floods, joker character of father and son and anti-hindu rants.
