They had the same VAs in MK 9.) Considering Mileena is a clone of her.

miguel masangkay I'm a bit late to this convo but yeah, Karen voiced her as well throughout the story mode (the two times she talked during it anyways) I read somewhere that Grey DeLisle did do the battle grunts for the sisters in gameplay, but I'm not too sure. I know that they did want Mrs Azula to voice them both in Mkx but she was pregnant at the time apparently, which I'm pretty glad at, because Karen did a fucking amazing job, she did great in Mk9 as well, switching her with Kari was a bad idea, Kari does a more kind, nice princess voice, whilst Karen does a bad bitch princess that gives no fucks about commoners that fuck with her, which is how I've always seen Kitana. We are going to get Azula Kitana in the new animated movie coming out in a few weeks, so I'm excited about that, especially with how parallel the Zuko/Azula and Kitana/Mileena thing is. Well it's not exactly parallel at all, but you get what I mean

I like her more mature personality in this game. Her comebacks and remarks are witty yet still have that slant of psychosis that gives her character.
This is my favorite Mileena voice actress. She does such a great job at sounding both ferocious but also somewhat seductive at times without being too much of either. Mk9 was too seductive while Mk11 is a bit too angry and ferocious. This is a great middle ground.

Mileena is definitely my new favorite character of the series. Not only did they give her an amazing unique look, her stance is great, her costume and hair unique, and her face completely well done; but also her character is the strongest in the game. She still strives to rule outworld, even though she is completely outnumbered and everyone turns against her. It really is Mileena vs the world. I didn't want to see her die, and I it was stupid to have someone kiss her as a fatality when she could've bitten their face off, but she even faced death and still stayed strong to the end.
That being said, almost every other girl in the game is awful. Cassey is annoying as fuck, Sonya has become a total bitch, and Kitana has absolutely no backbone. It's understandable why Lui Kang got tired of being Raiden's toy and rebelled, but Kitana should have stood against him if she was truly good. But just like when she was with Shao Khan, she doesn't give a shit about good or evil, she just sides with whoever has the most power. Pretty spineless. Even the new D'vora character was pretty annoying. The only other women who were tolerable were Tonya and Jax's daughter, but probably only because they had little dialogue.
Couldn't agree more. It's honestly sad how they're all against her and/or betrayed her, fingers crossed she comes back in 11.

I agree Mileena has really come into her own as a character and is beautiful in her own way as well. and yeah it sucks that all her so called allies were just using her as a pawn. But if you read the mkx comics you can come to understand why the likes of kotal kahn, reptile and d'vorah turn on her. She was obviously not fit for the throne even though as she said it was her right by royal decree. They called her the mad empress for a reason. :)
And in a game where people fight and die alot I was still shocked and heartbroken that they killed mileena in this game too. But no one truly stays dead in mk lol and she's a iconic character so our empress will be back one day to reclaim her throne.
I love Mileena's voice so much! It's so sexy & badass! She's just a super awesome character in general! :D

Ngl a lot of the characters in this game are literally downgraded in 11.... The new characters D'vorah and Erron Black were watered down. The Ogs like Mileena and Kitana were MUCH BETTER IN X etc etc Also unpopular opinion Kung Jin and Takeda were more unique than Jacqui and Cassie. 👀👀👀 for me they were just Sonya and Jax skins.

Of the original character re-designs, Mileena's is hands-down the most brilliant. I know the lips served her scene with D'Vorah, but it just makes so much more sense with her speech patterns. And it's also more symbolic (half Edenian / half Tarkatan), somehow it's scarier as if her cheeks have been ripped off.

A lot of people are asking if Mileena has something with some of the men here, and the answer is no. She's just flirting, she's always been that way, it's part of her character. I highly doubt that Liu Kang or Sub-Zero would want anything to do with her. The only people she's had a relationship with are Reiko (who seduced her in the MK X comics) and Baraka who was hinted at being lovers with her in this game. (He also took her as his queen in MK: Armageddon)

Mileena from MKX, on the other hand, is rather mature, sexy, and seems to have under went an unseen transformation that no one seems to talk about or even mention. Perhaps my fan fiction will cover this aspect. If it has already been discussed I do apologize for my lack of knowledge on that subject. I guess part of me cannot get over the fact that Mileena is a tragic character and the MKX story mode did not do her justice.

She quickly snaps, speaking more to herself than to him. "Because I love you." There is a silence and a moment of realization in Mileena. No one had ever told her that before. "Honestly, your teeth aren't pretty. But I think they make you special. Mileena without her teeth is just not Mileena in my eyes. Then you'd really look like Kitana." They share a genuine laugh to mask Mileena's current and new found vulnerability. "...Let's get some sleep. We'll need our energy in the mourning." Mileena nodded and lied down, contemplating for the first time what she would do now that she had someone who loved her. She listened to the gentle rain all night until she fell asleep.

Some of these interractions kinda make me think the story would've been a little better if Earthrealm actually did help Mileena. Like, up to her stealing the Shinnok's amulet is fine, but if if she happened to lose it straight away, or Kotal Khan immediately goes a bit power hungry with it when he gets it. Then has D'Vorah take it to Quan'Chi to release Shinnok just so he can be on his good side and reap the rewards while he continues to rule Outworld.
Would've interesting to see Sonya's and Cassie's team form a shakey alliance with Mileena to take Kotal out of commission while also taking down Shinnok, under a non-confident agreement that Mileena keep her business in Outworld...
Shame she had to die, really.

Strangely enough, Mileena is my ideal wife. She's strong, can take care of herself, and outright sexy. Even her monster fangs aren't a problem for me. With a demonic face and crazy-yet-hot voice like she's got, we'd never need a guard dog. The whole eating people's faces habit of hers is a little bit of a problem, but so long as I don't ever get into any real fights with her, I should be safe.

Some of these lines aren't even that good but the voice actress just makes them work. Really emphasizes every little word, like when she straight up laughs at Jax after he tells her "For you, danger's right here." Classic.
