I remember summoning on the first banner and thinking the standard banner was a diluc banner hahahaha
She only got it because it wasn't a good idea to Launch Hu Tao, a girl related to death and funerals, in the Chinese New Year. It would bring them bad press for their lack of taste. It's like launching a movie about massacres at Christmas.

At this point the only other thing Hoyo could do to buff her would be for them to retroactively give the Standard Wish 5 stars equivalent scalings to the limited 5 stars but they would never do that.
For what its worth I think Keqing is in a pretty damn good place now. She got two really great 4 star weapon options in Lion's War and Wolf Fang.
The umbrella event weapon is also really good for her in aggravate teams! If you are running an attack sands, the EM from the umbrella can give you more aggravate damage than the other options
The flute is really really good too
One of Keqing's official artworks have her holding a sword that isn't in the game. I mean, is there a case of a character holding a weapon in an official art where the weapon gets released later? Usually, the Jade Cutter is seen as her "signature" but maybe her actual one is just unreleased.
Keqing's banner, I believe was a failure. So not sure if she'll ever run again. But who knows? I don't see why she can't be featured in a filler banner.

@@mat2468xk It's a failure because Hu Tao and Bennett ruined Keqing's banner to preventing to showcase Hu Tao based on Chinese's bad luck.
I've been a Keqing main since I pulled her from her banner in 1.3, and I've been 36 starring with her since 2.3. Forever a Keqing main.
I have played Keqing aggravate a lot and imo the overall best team for her has been Nahida with R5 Prototype Amber and Kazuha. One of the strengths of Keqing is that you can get away with very little healing. R5 Prototype Amber also solves the problem of being able to get Nahida burst up every single time as it can be a little challenging sometimes without it. Nahida with R5 Prototype Amber is better than any other dendro support option regardless of any weapon they are using unless it is single target. Nahida kit is so overwhelming that it does not matter if her weapon does barely anything for her. Even with R5 Prototype Amber she still hits like a truck. That 250 EM buff she gives you basically makes up for it. She consolidates the role of buffer, healer, and sub dps. She is like Dendro Bennett. In a quick swap team Nahida burst is quite powerful as everyone gets to have their skills + bursts magnified for some really strong synergy.
While Yae Miko clearly wins in single target it is much closer in AoE situations. Keqing AoE potential can be higher or at least it is easier to constantly burst over and over while this is very difficult with Yae Miko. She is also much more vulnerable so she tends to need more defensive dendro supports. IMO that Abyss cycle where you had to fight 4 black serpent knights she was better than Yae Miko because Keqing could hit almost all of them all the time very rapidly which would proc an insane number of aggravates.
Most of all it just feels really really good to play. Everything lines up so perfectly. Keqing EE into Kazuha EQ, Nahida EQ, Fischl Q or E, Keqing EEautoQEEauto (Mistsplitter + Thundering Fury) and repeat. The cooldowns line up almost perfectly so Oz is on the field almost all the time, Kazuha bursts off cooldown, Keqing bursts off cooldown, and Nahida bursts off cooldown with nearly 100% uptime.
I know I might be biased as an OG player who took literal years to get Keqing (and still doesn't have Jean.)
But I'm really, really tired of people pretending Standard 5⭐s are "free" or "easier" to get. It's essentially the same as believing that 4⭐s are easier/cheaper than 5⭐s, when in practice they're often harder: for example, Yelan *might* actually be more accessible than Xingqiu with how diluted 4⭐s are now and risk of ruining pity (especially if you want him C6, which let's be real, TC'ers unreasonably expect you to have C6 Xingqiu.) Let's not forget that they've added *two* new Standard 5⭐s, increasing the pool of potential characters you could randomly get by 40%.
I have C6 Qiqi, but does that mean I should talk about it being free to get C6 Qiqi? Of course not (we all know it weighs on your soul.) Just like I don't take Mona for granted, and recognize that I'm *privileged* to have even C0 Mona and all of the team options that opens up. We must recognize that characters like Mona, Jean, and Keqing are *more exclusive* and are more of a random factor of what you can do with your account (similar to, IDK, WGS?) You can't compare Keqing and Yae Miko on primogem efficiency when you either have Keqing, or you don't---just compare them on which you have and how they play.
If this channel is geared at new and low/mid-investment players you should try not to accidentally deceive them into thinking it's a granted they'll get these Standard characters eventually. I know that's not your intent, but that's what this kind of language does in my experience (and what it did to me back in the day.) Small caveats mentioned briefly don't do the problem justice when you repeatedly say these characters are "free".

that is so true. getting c6 was easy back in version 1, but with each new region it gets harder and harder.
honestly, i personally think it's smarter to focus on 4 star characters for the first year or so of an account, get whatever 5 star you get, and once your base roster is strong, then you go picky about 5 stars. i mean, can you really go wrong with any of the 5 stars that have been in banners in fountaine? not really.

Correction: Yae Miko is the only electro character that can compete with Fischl on aggravate.
In a team of Yae, Fischl, Kazuha and Yaoyao, both of them do about 40% of team damage each, the rest of it being Kazuha. This happens because Yae double dips on EM and her nuke can do about 300k every 20 seconds.
Yae Miko is only on par with c6 Fischl if she can burst once every 2 rotations, which is impossible to reach without >170% ER, her c1, or Raiden. That's why people are still using Fischl despite Yae having better scaling and numbers on paper.

Would be very interested to see a tierlist that ranks how FUN an on-fielder and their team(s) are to play. Everybody talks about math, but after going unga-bunga hyperbloom since I started, I'm looking to build something a bit more interesting for my second team. Kequing has been on my radar as a potential option, but it's hard to estimate how fun a character/team will be without . . . building them. And that has started to spread me pretty thin and stagnate my account lol
I think it would be _very_ subjective since it depends on the personality of the person, the device they’re using, what they’re fighting, and in what situations. Like… when I play a game, I just want to turn my brain off and relax and enjoy some unga bunga after the day, but for someone else, they might prefer turning their brain _on_ and actually enjoy doing strict rotations, combos, or cancellations with characters like Tartaglia, Alhaitham, Hu Tao, or Klee. Mobile players are unlikely to enjoy Ganyu, Tighnari, and Lyney, and I’ve heard that some console players find it hard to use Nahida (hold skill).
That being said, same. 😂 I would also like to see what characters and teams people enjoy.

its not hard aiming on mobile; further more, they are the most fun playing on mobile than on computer
The issue with “fun” is that is extremely subjective. A lot of people find Tartagl very fun, while I see him as very frustrating.
If you want to try a character - either wait for an event where their trial is available or borrow your friend’s account if they have the character build
I usually run Keqing with Tighnari in a dual DPS AggraSpread Team and it’s alot of fun. Was hoping for it to be mentioned in the video 😂

I started playing 2 months ago and I absolutely enjoy the game. I’ve been watching Jello’s vids the most out of the Genshin channels to get up to speed with building and stuff.
I just got Keqing earlier, which is perfect cuz I wanted to get her and Mona (whom I also got weeks ago) the most out of all the standard 5-stars. I’m contemplating on getting one of the battle pass swords so I’m really looking forward to your video on them!

I would be bored if Keqing meant to be playing only with Aggravate. I don't ever seeing any latest guides about Quickbloom/Hyperbloom Keqing after Furina came in 4.2

Keqing was my second 5star and she carried me hard for the first couple of abyss cycles. She is also really good for exploration. I'm happy that she just keeps getting better.
High investment team that I really love: Keqing, Yae Miko, Baizhu, Nahida. Even without Nahida, Baizhu's dendro application is excellent.
I started my journey in april and my first five star is keqing from standard banner. I really loved her and I am so happy I got her

I'm glad that Keqing is really solid now. I liked her design and moves since 1.0, back before I pulled her, but even when I got her to C4 I didn't have very high hopes for her being remotely optimal on my teams. I hope Dehya finds a similar fate in the future. It's not likely, but she deserves better too.
She was my very first c6 5star and still is the only one i have. I lost MANY 5050's to her ':D

Keqing was my first five star, and back then she was slept on hard. Once I dabbled in playing her I found out i really liked her playstyle. For the majority of 3.X she was my main until I built Hu Tao and Yoimiya. She runs with a team consisting of Nahida, Kokomi, with Shinobu/Lynette flex since the start of 4.0. She's a trooper and with an R3 Lion's roar she's so much fun. Glad she's finally getting recognition
She wasn't slept on, she was legit bad before dendro came out. But dendro bumped her up to being a pretty solid unit.

That's such a weird team since Kokomi takes on field time from Keqing. Switch out Kokomi for Fischl!
I mained her from 1.0 to 2.0, and she lead my main team to my first 36-star Abyss runs. Her weakness was greatly exaggerated back in the day. You can find videos of Keqing soloing pretty much every Abyss, except those with electro lectors. Her N1C is still one of the highest DPS attack strings in the game.
it never ceases to amaze me how ppl will shit on a char just cause its not what they expect. i still remember when kokomi first dropped, everyone shit on ger for weeks til they figured her out. me personally, i knew immediately that i needed her as she filled a niche i desperately needed. here we are now and plp use her in metas. incredible.
I been using keqing every single abyss. Except one that needed specific elements for lectors. The teams that are 36 star abyss worthy is actually even more flexible if you have nahida. Sure nahida is 5 star. But I had c0 with widsith. And keqing nahida with basically any 2 other good units works. I used zhongli and yae miko, Jean and Yao Yao, fischl and ganyu. All kinds of experimental stuff. That isn't optimal but flexible for lector elements and comfy shields. So just to let ya know. If you love keqing. Get nahida and you can make a lot more teams work
I also like to try out different teams with Keqing! So i'd like to add some of my ideas that worked well in certain abyss scenarios:
-Keqing/Nahida/Xingqiu/Beidou
-Keqing/Nahida/Fischl/Shinobu
Although I mostly use Keqing aggravate with Yaoyao/Kirara over Nahida, I do like having many options.

I've been running Keqing + Fischl + Baizhu, and it's really fun.
Keqing was my first 5star and she was very useful for a long time! I love her design and her gameplay but my god if you have her, you know that when she tells you to stop procrastinating it will sink into your soul and remind you that you're wasting away in a gacha game.
i pulled Mistplitter back in 2.0 because i lost to Keq on the Zhongli banner. never regretted it
in summary, Keqing does great in an aggravate team where she can be carried by best girl Fischl.
nah not entirely true. my Keqing works even faster in speedrun team with C6 Sara.
i just prefer fischl over Sara due to how clunky Sara playstyle is.
True lol, because of Fischl, almost every electro characters can be run in aggravate.

As someone currently lacking a Fischl but having a Kirara and a Kokomi, I've become a big fan of what I call Catgirlvate, which is Keqing, Kirara, Lynnette, and Kokomi (as the fish to draw in the catgirls). It feels very comfortable and can be done on low investment. With Kokomi bringing heals and hydro, Lynnette swirling that hydro and taunting enemies, Kirara giving you a shield and tons of bloom cores, your Keqing just feels invincible as she ping-pongs around the battlefield.
If only you have Nahida... Because, I want Keqing can do Quickbloom/Hyperbloom like those limited characters.

Extra note for Kirara as the Dendro teammate; Once you get her C4, Noblesse Oblige becomes a strongly consistent set for her. It makes her shield inherently stronger since Instructor is capped at 4-stars.
Been about 8 months since playing genshin but I still check back for any content mentioning Yae Miko. She’s the only thing I miss about this game.
I know, it sounds weird but I play Keqing, Xingqiu, Barbara and Nahida. Nahida Skill and Burst, Barbara Skill, Xingqiu Skill, Burst and Skill (Sag) and then Keqing attack, then Burst.
The only 50/50 I didn't mind losing. She's the basis of my secondary team for Abyss Spiral

Well, I got Mona for my past 3 50/50 losses in a row. She is also C4 now. No Keqing though. Standard banner RNG man, it can be so frustrating.

One of my best team : Keqing, Fischl, Yaoyao (instructor), Kazuha. Even better now with the newest BP sword. I always loved Keqing playstyle since I've started the game, I'm glad she's now that strong too.
Just sharing a tip for people who don't know yet: Instructor's passive can't be activated off-field, so the wearer needs to trigger at least one reaction before swapping out.

Ah, Keqing, the character I hated from the first time I interacted with her in the story, but contrary to thet I like everything about her design in the game and in her model.

Nahida is good for Keqing actually, best dendro applicator. Alternative I recommend YaoYao .

I got keqing right after fontaine dropped with lynette's standard fates from ascending her, I have been waiting for keqing since I started in 1.0.
I remember in my early days of Genshin, Keqing literally carried through the early parts of the Abyss. Now that I've build other characters, I realised there's just something I miss about her (her E, her really cool burst).
May try to use her more again moving forward.
Kequing was my first 5-Star ever. Just got her C3 when I lost my 50/50 on Zhongli. I love her playstyle very much. Exploration with her is also fun to do. She is double crowned and lvl 90.
Still no Keqing, C2 Mona, C2 Qiqi, Jean 😭 Year+ of playtime

I just got keqing 2weeks ago after 3 years of playing, its amazing how she's competitive with my other limited 5 star
Im playing her in quickbloom with c4 keqing c0 nahida c3 furina c0 baizhu and she deals theoretically 1.4 million damage (Nahida's and furina's damage not included) per rotation with 4 piece MH and mistsplitter r1 (res included as %30 but def is not included)
Her teleport feature also works instead of geo traveler for getting into hard to reach places.
Since I don't have Kazuha, Nahida OR Fischl, my budge team I crafted some time ago is YaoYao-Sucrose-Beidou-Keqing

My basic team is Keqing, Qiqi, Xingling, and dendro traveler, largely because they are what I had first.
As someone who originally got keqing on her banner. I only have C1, meaning I only ever "lost" 50/50 to her once. She's the only standard 5star that I enjoy and I have all others c3 at least
3 years of this game now, but I only have Keqing C1...
I started to build Keqing after realizing I had somehow made it to C5 from losing 50/50s. Best decision I made in the game. I have since become a Keqing main and playing her has been some of the most fun I’ve had in my entire time playing Genshin. Really fast, fun playstyle.
I have C5 Keqing. I plan to build her when I get her C6 accidentally. It's bound to happen some time.

This guide popped up for me right after i lost my 50/50 for Zhongli and got C2 Keqing so... I guess I'll build her.
When talking about investment you completely skipped the talk about Nahida C2. Yae needing a shielder at all means that her access to a powerful team buff like that is completely cut off. I think primarily because of Nahida C2 at low constellations/5 star weapons level investment Keqing is better.
Whose better between Sara and Fischl post troupe now? With and without Elegy.
She carried me against those consecrated beasts in the past abyss; with reduced cooldown from 4TF, extra energy from fischl & electro resonance and Keqing 40 energy burst, I can just practically spam her burst

I really had so much fun playing Keqing aggravate in the early part of the sumeru patch cycle. Unfortunately, even though I invested heavily into both Keqing and Fischl the team started struggling with 36* without Nahida once the difficulty spike started happening around 3.3 I think, and with her you'd run into survivability issues vs stuff like consecrated beasts. There is a pretty big gap between Keqing aggravate and stuff like double hydro hyperbloom or Alhaitham quickbloom unfortunately. I should give her another go now that floor 12 has cooled of a little bit and see if she's viable again, but she's always been fun to play on floor 11 for me. Keqing's fast and furious playstyle and animations are just so satisfying. Tighnari spread teams give me a similar adrenaline rush feel and it's awesome when you can run them one on each side. It's just sad that even c1 with Aqua Simulacra he gets out dpsed by my Alhaitham, except against the Wenut.
and then there was me 36*ing and yolo-ing the beasts with shield/healer-less Aggravate Keqing (didn't even use Nahida, she was usually busy on 2nd half for BurnMelt Ganyu at that time, used Collei instead)... my Keqing is a bit cracked though. Only the last time the beasts were there (when there were 2 waves) did they make me bring Kirara.
My account is also blessed with jean consts. I've wanted mona and diluc for a long time but ended up with C2 jean and C0 keqing.
I appreciate any Keqing Redemption Arc content.

I'm Keqing main from the very start, she's my 2nd legendary and 1st that i start to upgrade, and Nahida with Quicken reaction make her badass, since i got Nahida i'm playing only Keqing/Fischl/Nahida/Zhongli in my Abyss and she's clearing it almost every time on the first try (yeah, problems with high elecrto res/immune and a lot of wolfs still exist), now i have a lot chars but my Keqing (C5 btw, waiting for C6) still very fun to play even comparing to more powerful heroes
So if u have some consts on Fischl, Nahida, Zhongli or Baizhu and swords like Mistsplitter and etc. i recommend to try this comp, it's really good
When I first started playing back in 2020 when the game first came out, I tried so hard to get Mona, instead I got 4 Jean and 4 Diluc and Venti. Since back then I didn't know how to play, not a lot of us did, I rage quit the game and just came back to it in August 2023. When I was pulling for Neuvillette I got 2 Mona failing my 50/50 lol xD I ended up with c1 Neuv but I was so much more happier to see Mona.
I have mistsplitter and god(perfect) artifacts for Keqing since last year. However, as an C2 MonaQiqiJean ar60(3 years progress), I have no Keqing
she is my first 5 star i lost the 50/50 at Yelan banner, but i love her. thanks for the video.

I would love a free standard banner 5 star for the anniversary. Probably wouldn't pick Keqing as I already have her at c1. I want constellations on Jean so that would be my choice.

I only saw few players already reached Keqing C6 while my Keqing is only C1. Which is still not enough. I did lost so much to Dliuc and Mona mostly which is I don't play them much.

at launch, Keqing was one of the best dps which fell off as we got more characters. now she’s back in the meta.
been playing for 4 months f2p. c4 keqing and no primos on standard banner. lost 5050 to keqing on furina, then pulled on standard, lost to yomiya then to nahida then a random pull on standard. only other 50 50 character i have is a diluc c0
I'm a month in to playing and she was my first 5 star. Used dendro traveler, Barbara, and c5 bennet with her. Landed nahida and traded traveler for her. A janky team but working well for me now.

As a third year Keqing main, I'm running a quickbloom team with Nahida, c2 Kazuha and Kokomi, though the Kock might get replaced by Furina.
Aggravate Keqing has been my goto damage dealer for my alt account I'm so happy I got her pretty early on.

I was a Keqing simp before getting into Genshin so i rerolled for her before playing past AR5. Found waifus i like more later on but she is still carrying half of my abyss and most of overworld. The rotation is so fluid and unga bunga friendly! No regrets.
I’ve actually been really stuck with Keqings weapon. The only two options I have for her is Lions Roar and The Black Sword, obviously you would normally pick Lions Roar, but I have Lions Roar on Bennett (I don’t share weapons and also don’t have festering desire). So the question is should I keep Bennett on Lions Roar or give it to Keqing and find a better weapon for Bennett
just wanna point out that Keqing Nahida Fischl and Zhongli is one of her best team as well I hope you pull Zhongli and try it too

I think you forgot how much utility Yaoyao gets out of running Tenacity in an aggravate setup. I wouldn't really recommend Instructor's because even though the EM buff is significant imo it's not worth gimping her healing by putting her on a 4* set and she has high uptime on the atk bonus that Tenacity gives.
Keqing works w/o dendro if you’re using thundersoother and just going mono electro. My thundersoother build solo I’m hitting 9.3k + 10k with charge attack, start adding in buffs and my damage increases significantly. She’s a wave clearing monster but a grouper definitely helps in that regard. She was my first main and now I do use alhaitham more, but she’s still good enough to clear floor 12 most patches.
