The writers of this show were brilliant!
Unbelievably genius
This was one of the best most entertaining and funniest shows ever on tv. It had brilliant scriptwriters and a great believable cast. I miss this show, and it left a giant void that has never been filled since.

I remember this. Dewey outwitted Reese so much and he got tired that he missed the movie that he wanted to watch. Also how much of a dick move Malcolm pulled in leaving Stevie to face his parents' wrath when they had the cops over. I get he was afraid that Abe and Kitty were going to tell Lois about him and Stevie sneaking out of the house. However, Malcolm should've walked over and taken responsibility for himself. Granted Abe and Kitty would've been upset with him for sneaking Stevie out of the house after bed time. However, they could be able to discuss a proper punishment without informing Hal and Lois about it.

It's not their responsibility to punish Malcolm he's not their child, I agree Malcolm should have owned up and they should have told his parent's so that they could punish him.
Well Stevie mentioned that he wanted to get in trouble to see what it’s like. It was still wrong but it was best for everyone.

How about not giving your kid access to all that sugar at night so he won't be a difficult to handle at bed time? I've taken care of kids. Weekdays no sugar at night. Weekends you get sugar for dessert and the difference is night and day when it comes to getting to bed.
