There's loads of this in Malcolm in the middle now it's shown on wide-screen, it was originally aired in 4:3, so all this was hidden off screen.
There's on scene where they're feeding a baby, and in some shots the baby is clearly just a doll

To stalk everyone else that does the same thing speaks of something else entirely, bitterness being the least negative trait. The low-key funniest moment in all of this is that Hal's dominos spell out "Dewey". He could have changed it so it spelled out "Hal" but no. He needed to see the dominos fall EXACTLY as Dewey had set them up. That was a brilliant subtle joke the writer threw in there!

Dominos fall by itself

At 2:44 when we get to the American Flag we can see a stage hand knocking them down. I just ruined that seen forever.
I think it’s because the show was shot with TV standard screen (4:3) in mind. When it was released on dvd and other formats, it was done in widescreen (16:9) so now there’s all sorts of stuff that wasn’t intended to be visible around the edges of the screen. For instance in 1 shot in a different episode you can clearly see Dewey’s stand in actor.
Goddamit. Why did I go back to see. They didn't even bother moving their hand.

Quite a bit of the shots had visible crew even in the 4:3 version. Personally I think it's kind of a nice easter egg since you don't really notice it on a first watch.

According to the episode's wiki page in the trivia page, Dewey was to reveal to Hal and Reese that he saw what Lois's was and decided to clean all up the dominos just so she can't do anything. this was going to humiliate Hal. And then originally part of the ending, Reese wold come home and take pictures of Hal's misery, laughing at him for missing the dominos knocking over. He would then show this along with the video to Lois to prove he had nothing to do with it. Lois, finally enraged at Hal, would punish him for the deed.
Thank god the camera man caught the whole thing📷

I wonder if Hal spent the rest of the night setting the dominos back up again and got to finally knock them over by morning and film everything. Even though he was willing to let Reese get punished with them being knocked over, I still felt bad for Hal here. I wish there was a way I can travel to this universe and give Hal a copy of the footage with all the dominos being knocked over.
But if Hal decided to take a nap after he set them back up, it's possible that Lois found it all and started putting them all away. With that, Hal would wake up after all the dominos were gone. Lois of course wouldn't think it's a big deal. Or maybe Hal would have a problem with the camera like there's not tape in it or he didn't hit the record button.
I just realized that the dominoes go through the bathroom, which raises two questions: Was Dewey really allowed to do that, since it would prevent everyone from closing the bathroom door, and where are Lois and the boys while all this is going on?
If there was a pandemic, and the people who have covid cough them down, I will blame you!

While having the door Hal closed caused the dominoes to be knocked over, I would've also liked to see Reese knock them over as payback for what Hal was trying to do to him.

Hal pissed me off in this episode but by the end, I just felt so bad for him.
I think he deserved that for what happened. I wished Reese came in laughing at Hal, have Craig take the photos and showed them to Lois. Let's see how he tries to get out of trouble when he is caught.

I really did feel bad for Reese in this episode. Lois said even if Reese really didn't knock over the dominoes, she would still blame him. I mean, it is great to see whenever Reese does deserve some karma, but I thought that this was unfair for him.
