Really glad a full size video is around. I needed to see if the cable was in fact braided/textured. The website shows a non-braided cable, but the MK Website and your video do.
That chrome switch remover is a PITA to try and use. Glorious makes an excellent switch puller that looks like a pair of tweezers about 3.5 inches long.
I was so excided when i saw this, then realized the full sized has a fixed cable... So i cant easily replace the one part that gets the most wear in moving my keyboard around. One cat or dog chomp and it's a paperweight.
I feel that the non-removable cable (6:35) is a dealbreaker for me, but I need an MKB that's full sized as I process lots of excel reports, and I would need the numpad and the other keys
Yip, all sizes aside from full size comes with removal cable. Why? It’s such a nice option to change cable if you are buying something like this and like to mod... I also need num pad.
@@Hecatonicosachoron54 how I wish, but I only got 2 ports on my KVM, just enough for a keyboard and mouse. I could add a Hub, but that'll only introduce more latency.
Would you believe I've actually got 4 of these Glorious Full Size boards? One is 6 years old and its switches and caps are worn out, need replacing. One was recently purchased with the stock brown switches. The last 2 were purchased as bare bones, so I could install my own switches. I want Glorious Lynx Lubed switches for one of them, as they are linear, very smooth and quiet, but they're expensive!! $34.99 for 36 switches!
I have this Original Fullsize GMMK (Not GMMK2) keyboard with the Gateron Browns, the Alphabet and num pad keys feel great but the Backspace, Enter and shift key all lose the beautiful ASMR Thocky sound. Is that due to the stabilizer or do yall think I got a bad board?
How hard is it to buy a gmmk keyboard and assemble it from the parts you buy on the website (the glorious gmmk custom plate, the glorious aura mechanical key caps, and the gateron brown mechanical switches)
If they update it with 5 pin support I would be on it, but so many are starting to come out with other hot-swap boards and a few have the Kailh 5 pin socket system. They did good, the new model has better stabs and USB C, but one more upgrade and I will bite. I have been watching Glorious PC for a few years now to see how this board evolves, I feel it is the board that pushed the industry to hot-swap, but now they need to update the PCB, and I would be able to use it as a switch testbed, without having to maim the things with some snips.
Does anyone know if you order the keyboard with red switches does it still come with the brown ones? Or do they assemble it with the red ones for you so you don’t have to do it yourself?
When you buy prebuild it only comes with browns. If you want reds you're gonna have to customize the order and it comes separate. That's as far as I understood in their website. www.pcgamingrace.com/
What is screwed up is the software is buggy. I've got 4 of these boards and the software only sees one of them. The newest one. On older boards the serial num starts with the date the board was made, such as 20200304 or 20170511. I've got 3 like that and the software doesn't work for them. You can reset it to factory default by using: Fn + Esc, then F1 + F3 + F5. Moving rainbows and all keys one color is all you can do without the software. If the software works you can assign a color to each individual key, but even that is kinda hard to figure out. I've got F keys and delete set to white, letter keys are red, numbers are yellow and so on.
i bought the full size with the panda switches. can't wait to receive it. thanks for the video.
Do you like it? I plan to buy the same setup soon.
@@LeFatalpotato yes it's my daily driver great keyboard. great feel and sound.
@@JayzBeerz that's great to hear! Have you done any mods, and do you recommend them?
@@LeFatalpotato no mods as it really doesn't need it. but you could lube the switches and foam it if you want.
@@JayzBeerz the Fullsize have only USB A right?
Only the compact and the TKL have USB C or?

Yeah I love full sized keyboards, I want all the keys, and I don’t really like the whole tiny keyboard thing

Thanks for the shout out pp
You know I didn't do that so you'd upgrade your membership. You spoil me.

My custom GMMK (TKL) has a removable cable. However, Idk if it's not removable on the full size one.

Maybe buy a separate numpad kit and the tkl version of this keyboard?

I was advised that the new version of the full sized GMMK has removable cables. Not sure how true it is, but it's good if it's true.

does it remember RGB settings when i turn PC off and on again?
Thanks, very informative. It has encouraged me to have a go and put my own keyboard together.
Do it
Any double typing issue after one year? And how to fix it?

Slightly more advanced lego basically

can I pley in Ps4???
i dont know if you can pley in the ps4, i think a normal sized human wouldn't fit into a playstation 4
i get no keys to this keyboard : (
You can buy barebones ones, then your own keys. That's part of the modular setup. Or you buy it pre-built.
@@TheProvokedPrawn ok THX and i have one more question what parts i need bcs i have only board i have no base housing nothing just board
