As someone who has been all over the U.S.A., but never out of it; again, I wan to thank you and your team (and your friends) for taking me on this amazing tour!! I am 58:53 in, and I’m glued to my iPad. I am on the edge of my…bed…lol waiting for the next bit of intriguing educational information to learn about!! I love love LOVE IT!!
The temple of Ramsey II in Amada is AMAZING and unique; the scene of him with the tree of life is gorgeous. Thank you for showing us this gem. Your passion and excitement of ancient Egypt is palpable and infectious!
So, back in the 80s, my grandfather and I would binge John Romer's documentaries, which is what influenced my degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. Now we have a new documentary king in Curtis! Granted, I work in Federal Law Enforcement, but my heart is in Egypt!
Ahhh I love JR! I used to try and make my docs aimed at a young audience. But then I just realised that I can make it how I want! JRs docs are so beautifully paced and that’s what I also try to give over
@CurtisRyanWoodside I still have the VHS tapes my grandfather made for me of Testament and Ancient Lives. I even rewatch them about once a year. I just got a copy of his latest book.
The images are all so detailed and done so well it makes it seem it was easy to do - and yet you know it wasn't. Every wall is simply spectacular - artistically, intellectually, structurally, historically...it is miraculous that we get to see it. I don't think we can even comprehend how beautiful it really is.
Thank you Kurtis, for putting together this amazing documentary. I am in awe with all the astounding stories. I appreciate you showing us all the breathtaking places I have never seen before. Absolutely brilliant.
As always Curtis a truly wonderful video with not only lots of wonderful information but beautiful cinematography it never ceases to amaze me the age of many of the items.Wishing you a very happy festive season ❤❤
Thank you! The parts of this film “Egypt and Nubia: sailing lake Nasser” won best cinematography at the Egyptian American film festival last year in NYC. Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Curtis! I watched your documentary on the Fayoum Oasis last night that you posted 2 days ago! Very fascinating and the images you captured on film are spectacular! I learned a lot. Thank you for sharing with us! I'm excited to watch this new video tonight! I was really happy to see it in my RUclips feed tonight. I learn more about Ancient Egypt, Nubia and more each time I watch one of your documentaries... Thank you, Curtis!
Thank you for posting all these fabulous documentaries, this will help with my planning for my trip, second last on my bucket list. I visited Abu Simbel in the 80s, they did an amazing job in moving it.
What a blessing!!! I feel privileged to have access to these amazing documentaries filled with accurate information and beautiful visuals!!! You're doing an amazing work and I hope you get the recognition you so deserve! Keep on rocking my friend! You're amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Every site becomes more and more incredible, the farther south you go - It's impossible to pick my favorite. All of it is so deeply stunning. I'll be watching this video many, 1:17:02 many times. The images are all so gorgeous and detailed and beautiful - it's like the most beautiful and meaningful art ever made. It is more than incredible. I hope it stays special and secluded for many centuries more.
Dear Curtis, can you do a video about Psamtik I? I think he is one of the most underrated pharaohs. The Smithsonian institute has a beautiful video about the huge broken statue they found a few years ago in Heliopolis. Also there is an article: 4,500 Newly Discovered Fragments Help Piece Together Massive Psamtik I Statue..... it would be very interesting to see if they have put a part of it together! And his life is fascinating: first collaborated with the Assyrians. One of the few to survive them. And then he drove them out of Egypt, by help of Carians and by clever diplomacy.
The artefacts are safe where they are and are priceless in showing the world the history of Egypt that still is revealing its secrets. Besides if every piece was sent back to Egypt, even the new museum would not be able to hold it all
What a stunning documentary. You bring ancient Egypt alive. I’m totally addicted to your work. Thank you so much.

I have spoken about it some times, but haven’t done a full doc on him… yet
You are the David Attenborough of Egypt and Nubia!
Hahah now that’s a new comparison I’ve never heard
You know you're spoiling us, don't you? 🎉
Heheh that’s the idea
You needs to write a few books of Egyptian History.
Thanks! I have two out already!
Danke! Diese problem ist von RUclips. Alles mit der taalen ist neu.
Ooh no the poor person whom carved that and then...... 😮😮😮
RIP poor soul.
A heartbreaking scene indeed
The colors must have being beautifull
If they are still so beautiful, imagine back then?
I strongly feel that all Egyptian artifacts should be returned to Egypt. That new beautiful museum is where they all belong.
Yes but the temples from lake Nasser were gifted to these other countries to thank them for helping to relocate the major ones at risk
Egypt should be returned to kemet the land of the blacks 🤷🏽♂️
@@Gatorgetfreshhuh??? Kemet means dark earth which is Egypt.
@@Gatorgetfresh Lol. It's the land of the black earth. It belongs to Egyptians. Not much going on between your ears, is there.
The artefacts are safe where they are and are priceless in showing the world the history of Egypt that still is revealing its secrets. Besides if every piece was sent back to Egypt, even the new museum would not be able to hold it all
Chateau La Lande family ❤

En español!
Yes in the settings it’s available in 10 languages
Yes, you should be sorry.
Was soll das???????????????????
As @silviaw.4477 said, you can change to the language of your choice in the video settings
Danke, hat funktiononiert!
