What is the difference between the regular chocolate layer cake and the chocolate mud cake? Which is chocolateyer? How does mud compare to devil's food?
I baked three 6” round muds today and when I put the cakes on the 6” board noticed there wasn’t much room to ganache do you just go up to a 7” board and ganaching lid? It’s been a while since I’ve done a cake LOL

Lot of kids don't eat eggs in India due to religious beliefs. I have tried many but they were too moist not like sponge cake. I also want to know whether ur condensed milk frosting would be stable enough for a castle cake if refrigerated?

Welcome! This cupcake recipe can be cooked in an 8" pam. It is not a recipe I have used for carving. Generally of you refrigerate cakes overnight, they will become denser and easier to carve so that may work for this as well.

It's firm but moist. You can syrup the layers if you like. Great to cover on fondant or buttercream.

Mud and devil are very similar. They are a dense rich cake. Great for carving.

You can go up to a 7" if you like but the gap will be big OR you can just trim around the cake and still use the 6" board.

If you have a fan, set it to 140C which should give an actual temp of 160C.
