- Katia and Maurice Krafft loved two things - each other
and volcanoes. For two decades, the daring French volcanologist couple roamed the planet, chasing eruptions and documenting their discoveries. Ultimately, they lost their lives in a 1991 volcanic explosion, leaving a legacy that forever enriched our knowledge of the natural world.
Director Sara Dosa and the filmmaking team fashion a lyrical celebration of the intrepid scientists’ spirit of adventure, drawing from the Kraffts’ spectacular archive. FIRE OF LOVE tells a story of primordial creation and destruction, following two bold explorers as they venture into the unknown, all for the sake of love.
Directed by Sara Dosa
I saw this at Sundance. It truly is unlike any movie I’ve ever seen, and I can’t wait to experience it again
Does it have that narrator the whole time? Only thing about this trailer that I didn’t like.
@@Noobslayar I think it does, omfg I can't wait to see it !!!
Any idea on when they're going to show it again in America? It only showed for a couple days!
Favorite film from this year’s Sundance, loved every second of it. I thought it was so refreshing and unique how they brought a French New Wave approach to a nature documentary
2 aries. In love w fire. Volcanos. Movie released in the most volcanic archetype ever, node Uranus Mars conjunction in taurus in July/ august 2022. Once in a 183 year event. You can’t make it up. Wow.
Now THIS is cinema! Don't let anybody tell you movies don't have anything new anymore. Life can still deliver surprises.
Watching it with my wife tonight. I am so excited to see these visuals!
I saw this at the Sydney Film Festival a few hours earlier & I loved it. Between Flee & now this NEON knows what types of great documentaries are out there
Loved this. Beautiful film in every way. My favorite of 2022 so far.
There's a part in the Herzog movie "Into the Inferno" (amazing movie) about The Kraffts. If this looked cool to you, I recommend checking out "Into the Inferno".
He also made a film about them that was just released this year, titled, "The Fire Within", which I really enjoyed. I'm curious how it stacks up to this film.
Best couple goal for Valentine's. How far can you go together with me.
Herzog covered these two in the film Into The Inferno
Approaching the beast - Nicolas Godin is the first song in the trailer
I was able to see Fire of Love a few weeks ago at the EarthxFilm festival. It is easily one of the best films I’ve seen from recent years. Go see it: it deserves every cent you can throw at it.
Dang just imagine it's your final moment on earth, and you're with your romantic flame as you're engulfed in lava. During that moment, I hope they play, "I'll stop the world and melt with you."
I saw this at telluride film festival and is so love and beautiful 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Why does neon and a24 pick up the best movies each year?
My second favorite at Sundance this year. I’m DYING to see this in a theater
what was your first?
@@someguy3200 Resurrection! In the video I made about sundance I said Fire of Love was #1 but I just had to think about it for a bit
I saw this preview before watching Petite Maman at AMC
This was absolutely breathtaking, never seen anything quite like it.
I. Can. Not. Wait. !!!
When will it be releases again in America?! Why do they only show the really good movies for like a couple days?
Looks amazing
liking Werner Herzog so much you mimic his voice in the narration
Hmmmm, I'm a huge fan of Miranda July and that's just what she sounds like all the time in her audio books etc.
Yeah I'm not getting this at all, have you seen the film?
@@ActOutYourLife ruclips.net/video/RzFTLijQZXw/видео.html in the vocal fry, and enunciation, I definitely hear it. It's probably a coincidence, I don't know what Miranda July's voice is like off my head
Why does it matter? Seriously always someone to put some negative spin on anything, no matter how small.
Would love to be able to watch the movie in Switzerland 🇨🇭 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
seeing it tonight

@@mariobonenfant5177 Thank you
He just released it, it’s called approaching the beast
@@Mattjaxson omg thank u sm lol 😭💗
Does anyone know the name of the soundtrack? It's awesome
Approaching the beast
Wow
wow let watch this
It should be called “Love and Lava” 😂 or “Lava Love”
Or
“I lava you forever” 🌋
Does anyone know the song in the first half of this trailer?
It’s by the superb French synth duo Air.
@@ericthatsme name?
Im looking for it too!!!
Godin just released it it’s called approaching the beast
And what about the song in the second half of this trailer please ? I do not find it in the recent soundtrack release.
Did they get mesothelioma??
They sounded crazy
Because they where
Whats the instrumental in the beginning?
I’d love to know too.
sounds like a celeste or electric piano mixed with soft synthesizer bells maybe.
@@CityGirlMusic this is the correct answer
Nicolas Godin of the French duo Air
But what is the name of the instrumental?
The trailer looks so great! But it ended up being one of the worse documentaries I ever watched. Both text and narrations (in English) are so excruciatingly bad, that it ruined everything great originally filmed. It's an awful documentary with some great images badly edited.
Cheesy voiceover, but looks neat
i'm 13 mins into it on disney+ and her voiceover is doing my head in
Didn’t like the narrator so that took me out of the doc often
why she speak like werner herzog?
What is with the narrator
Are you kidding me with this narration? Whispering and only just putting in enough effort to make the words audible. Could barely make it through the trailer so there’s no way in hell I could watch a whole movie listening to that
The narrator is a bit breathy isn’t she?
The narrator is the incredible Miranda July! Super talented :)
And sounds dead inside. It put me off
Yeah, I guess they or her felt it would add to convey the subject matter in this case, it didn't make or break anything for me, the movie looks very interesting, will probably wait to watch it on demand though.
I think she's trying to imitate Werner Herzog.
Yeah it really bothers me to listen to
