been using vinyl kettlebells 2x16, 2x20 & 2x24kg for a year. they were cheap & served their purpose, i did struggle during Spanish summer time because even chalk would not help. now upgrading to my first cast iron powder coated 32kg one. best video on the topic, thanks!!!!
*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*
Unless you KNOW you're going to be on a padded surface all the time, I would stay away from enamel KB's. I owned one with enamel and it hit some concrete when I was doing some high reps and it chipped, creating a sharp edge making it almost worthless in my opinion. I'm looking at the Rogue KB's. They have a decent reputation and are priced right. I own other things built by Rogue and I'm more than happy with all of them...very, VERY well built.
Really detailed video. I've watched a couple different reviews and no one ever seems to talk about the distance from one side of the handle to the other. I have big hands and with a lot of kettlebells, if I'm using both hands, leave almost no room for my pinky fingers. Adding that to your comparisons would've made this a more complete comparison for me
I have the rep fitness bell and it’s been awesome. It’s also waaaay cheaper than other KB sellers! I don’t see paying a lot more $$ for a piece of iron with a handle just because of a warranty or the coating or something like that? Kettlebells USA are crazy expensive and so are kettlebell kings. Titan fitness also have some extremely affordable KBs.
Thanks alot, by far the best “how to chose a kattlebell” video on youtube. I’ve a very small hand, however I been working out with a amazon basics thick handle kb. Recently I tried a small handle kb and right the way im able to lift an extra 10 lbs without doing much effort lol 😂 now im debating between a small handle coated kb or a competition kb for home use strength/cardio training
Glad this video helped you out! Our latest 2024 picks here ruclips.net/video/UT4xAuv4pTI/видео.htmlsi=RS49rt4PShVSwAGi might help you make your decision on your coated vs. competition kb. 💪
Thanks for the review, very helpful! Useful added category would be handle shape. So not diameter, but straight vs diagonal. Very hard to find useful info on this design difference!
I’m just now looking at buying my first KB and I see that basically all of the kettlebell kings KBs are out of stock. Has this been the case for a long time?
100% I was, too. Honestly, I thought it was a bit too good to be true, but they've consistently performed & held up well, so you can't fault them on that. Although, if something changes, I'll be sure to update!
Their customer service told me they are not longer carrying the traditional kettlebell line. This bums me out s lot because it's much more affordable than their legends and primal lines
Thanks for posting this. I own a Rep Fitness kettlebell. How would you rank the Rep Fitness, TRX, KB Kings, and KB USA for handle roughness, handle thickness, and handle width (from least to most)? I've read the Rep Fitness and KB Kings are essentially indistiguishable, but don't know if that's true.
Have you tried Vulcan competition bells? I order a few cast iron bells in lighter weights and some vinyl ones for home simply because it was all that was available. Everyone is telling me I wasted money on the spri ones. They are like 70-100 lbs so I’ll just be using for deadlifts. Should be ok. I want to get kettle bell kings or a Vulcan competition in around 26 lbs for presses.
BIG problem: the Amazon basics is 50lbs which is 22.7 kg??!! The standard in the KB world is kgs rising in (traditionally) 4kg jumps from 8kgs up so 22.7 is neither fish nor fowl. Not good!
Has anyone tried Ethos kettlebells from Dick's? I wonder how they compare with Rogue and Rep considering they're priced the same. Although you do save money on shipping.
He mentions it briefly at 11:20 in the KB USA metrixx classic. which looks very similar to dragondoors RKC Kettlbell. Otherwise the reviewer seems to really love rogue.

The best kettlebell is the one who offers free shipping.
And who would that be? I’m in the market.
@@hobojungle1 check out kettlebell kings I’m not sure if they always have free shipping but I got an entire set shipped free

I love it when people go in to the nuances of things

I wish the UK had this many options! Wolverson seems to do well in all areas.
I remember when a human being on planet earth could acquire a kettlebell without being scalped.
Rogue and Kettlebell Kings restocked last month.
The best is the Prokettlebell made in USA not doubt about
Thanks Astor🙏🙏🙏 Barbend, if you would like to review my kettlebells, I'd be happy to send you one!
Thanks for taking your time to do that
Cheers!
Very thorough and thoughtful. Thank you.
I, too, like the rep kbs. For the cost the quality is great.
Great analysis. Thanks.
Excellent video!!! Thank you for sharing!!
Hi I am looking for some basic kettle bells for my home gym thanks
This video was amazing!

Awesome suggestion! Thank you - Jake

I’d be interested in your views on the Dragon Door kettle bells. At one time, I believe this was considered the top brand.
Thats what i own. All dragon doors. They are great.
I'm surprised the quality of the rep fitness bells. They're really cheap.
100% I was, too. Honestly, I thought it was a bit too good to be true, but they've consistently performed & held up well, so you can't fault them on that. Although, if something changes, I'll be sure to update!
This is very helpful. Thank you!
The onit kettlebell is surprisingly good!
Plus you can get them at a reduced price if you buy other stuff from them.
Their customer service told me they are not longer carrying the traditional kettlebell line. This bums me out s lot because it's much more affordable than their legends and primal lines
Freaking awesome review! There is a shortage in the kettlebell. Do you know where to buy one?
baseballman74 I’ve been looking for some too but no luck :/
Same. I'm currently using a small backpack with standard size plates for swings.
Lifetime warranty, cant go wrong with that.

Can you explain why some kettlebells have a hollow core? Thanks.
for competition kettlebells (the colourful ones) to remain the same size (to allow for efficiencies) they would need to be hollow.
Life time warranty, it's enticing!
Awesome Thxxxxx Cooooool yes....
Super in-depth video, thanks a bunch!
Have you tried the Eleiko KBs, would you say they are worth the money?
Thank you & unfortunately, I have not yet! - Jake
Can you review Rogues monster kettlebells? That would be dope. Thanks for this review too.
No one can have all of these, but have you seen/heard anything on PRx Performance Kettlebells? How about Rage or Crazy Monkey?
there was no conclusion. This guy cannot make a decision on which is his favorite.

Any experience with the Metrixx brand?
He mentions it briefly at 11:20 in the KB USA metrixx classic. which looks very similar to dragondoors RKC Kettlbell. Otherwise the reviewer seems to really love rogue.
vulcan all steel ?
The wolverine sideburns..hilarious
Haha, bruhhhhh
Kettlebell usa is by far a Superior comptition Bell compared to kettlebell kings!
Lifetime warranty!
I like the slap coasters on his cheeks.
Lifetime warranty!!
Cant even fucking figure out how to buy one right now.
Weights are too expensive nearly double the price crazy
Witch one costs the least 😂
bionic body
kettlebell kings sucks. both of the two i purchased from them are off nearly 1.5 pounds.
For real? I’m surprised as I’ve read that KB kings were weight accurate.
You should start reviewing beers and wines instead. You repeat the same words again again without giving good information
Thanks for watching
This guy talks too much! Get to the point!
