Amazing. I've recently been getting into the US soundtrack of Sonic CD and looking for various remixes; Metallic Madness US has been surprisingly lacking. This is very high quality.
Spectacular!!! im always looking for good Sonic cd US remixes and this does not disappoint now i love manias take on metallic madness but one thing it lacks is atmosphere and there's not a single motif or reference to the us version at all that i know of in that track however this remix manages to keep that mania style but also maintaing that atmosphere of metallic madness that mania lacks Awesome work man! this deserves so much more.
I love this. This sounds like it would have fit perfectly. And to be completely honest, I think this is better than the JP remix that's actually in Mania for Act 1. That's just my personal opinion; I mean no disrespect to Tee Lopes. That version is good too. I just prefer _this._ Now all we need is an alt for SSZ.

You somehow managed to roughly keep the "feel" of the original while making it actually sound like a Sonic song (as the original, while amazing, didn't really fit Sonic's gameplay).
Nah, flip it since Act 1 is the Past setting which originally didn't use its own track, so packing in the ultimate Japan dueling rap here could've work, while Act 2 dips ya deep into the core of the machine world with the present setting, that is where the US theme would fit as build-up for the final zone. Letting you know that things are becoming serious & that you shouldn't give up.
nah man just doesn't feel the same way as the us tracks when you take a lot of the atmosphere out of the us tracks, like here, you've taken a significant amount of fun out of these songs, not nearly as good as they were before
I just made this as a fun one-time thing like 7 months ago or so. I tried my best to keep the atmosphere and make it a bit more playful than the original, since it was entirely made for Mania and not CD anyways. Mania's Metallic Madness is much faster-paced, so I made it fit in the game.
I am also a huge fan of the atmospheric US tracks, but I will disagree with you here. Mainly because this is meant to be a Mania remix. Metallic Madness is more colorful and fun in Mania compared to CD, so it makes sense for the remix to sound as such.

Well... in reality I wasn't trying to make it sound like a typical Sonic Mania remix at all. Not a big fan of Mania's soundtrack myself.

Yeah. My problems with Mania's soundtrack as a whole is that most tracks feel soulless imo. Only a few stand out to me.
