I have been working on it over the last 6 months. Have a ton of video and pictures I need to sift through. When I get some free time, I will post an updated video. I am learning a lot. These machines are pretty amazing. Nowadays you just don't see things built like this.
Wow- you are a brave man. I so admire your devotion to save this beauty. I've been working on a Wurlitzer 700 from 1940 during the pandemic. My wife thought I was nuts, but has grown to appreciate the warm sounds finally filling the house. Looking forward to you next video about your progress.
Great to see this video! I just started restoring my '47 1015, in rough shape but not as bad as the one you picked up. I just finished putting the new plastics in and working on bubble tubes now. Your video helped me see the bracing for the bubble tubes, which I couldn't find pictures of anywhere online. Thanks and good luck!
YOur welcome, I would love to see any pics you might have of the rotating motors for the color wheels that cover the lights in front. I cannot find that anywhere (up-close images of the brackets, and the way they are installed)- I need to track down these pieces since mine are missing.
That is some interesting information. It never crossed my mind when it may have played its last record. I am working on a new video. The Resto is coming along nicely. Thanks for the comment.
I have heard that from a few people...I have plastics but missing the bubble tubes, I will also need new artwork for the back panel and the GOLD Film in the arch and about a million other parts...Thanks for the advice!
Hi. I am carrying out my own restoration of a wurlitzer 1015 just like yours. Mine was rescued from the terrace of a house after having been there for the last 12 years, receiving all kinds of inclement weather. I have a lot of information if you want I can share it with you if we get in touch I can help you a lot if you need it to do a grade 1 restoration. Kind regards from Argentina
That would be awesome. My email is myflightdeck@gmail.com I am working on the wood portions now and close to being completed on that, then I will move into all the other items.
The best property of the old hide glue they used is reversibility. Easily removes with hot water and steam. Its all the reason why they delaminate, but easily fixed
Hi Tony, that is good to know. I am working on the veneer now and trying to get my head around the best method to use. The more I work on this, the more respect I gain for master woodworkers and restores....I will not lie, this is a bit of a project. I have asked myself many times "Why am I doing this again?" Pray for me brother!
Hi David, Yes, I am working on an update video. I will try to get it uploaded this weekend. Thank you for following up. Make sure you subscribe so you get notified. Thanks buddy!
Hi. thank you for the reminder. I will post some updates. I have been so busy with summer bass fishing tournaments that I have not had much time to upload videos. I will work on some update videos this month. I have so much to cover. I have made incredible progress.
You're a hero! My feel is always restore something others will walk away from, it means another survives :)
I've been restoring these for about 44 years now but still enjoy watching others bring them back to life. Looking forward to seeing your updates.

@@AaronWernerI would love to see an update. I’ve had mine in service since 2000. Twenty-four years of trouble free service

Looking forward for the future results ❤️
Would love to see an update on this project :)
I'd like to see the finished product
It is not finished yet. This one was a a lot more challenging than I could have imagined. I will be posting updated videos soon.
I guess this jukebox was put into storage around the early 60's since Mama Lupita is IIRC from late 50's, from Argentina.

Better get to Victory Glass for the plastics. They are closing at the end of the year. Hopefully they have all of what you need.
