  • I had an amazing opportunity to pick up a jukebox from a very nice gentleman today! The cost? My time and labour to move it from the basement of his house!
Can we make this classic rocker roll again?!
Watch and see as we fix a 1959 Wurlitzer model 2304 jukebox

I love Wurlitzer’s they hold a lot of memories, The last one I used was in a café that as a teen me and my friends used to hang out in,It was the tall 50’s one with lighted tubes all ver the sides, It was the 70’s and we loved it, The old lady had a parrot on the counter (a no no today) and he’d bob along to some of the songs and we’d teach him to swear (bad boys) , That jukebox was great.

Alex , there is a Wurlitzer Programme on a readable CD that allows you to input the artist/ song selection onto a myriad of card designs then just print them out and cut them to fit......it only works on Windows not Apple unfortunately.....well mine doesn’t.
Other wise you’ll have to use a typewriter if you buy the serrated “proper” cards for it
If you can’t find one I’ll burn one off for you

WOW, it's gorgeous. It's possible that it's only a Canada only model too. Admittedly I don't work on jukeboxes, BUT I do work on vintage tube electronics, and "just plug it in" isn't always a good idea. Jukeboxes were rather high quality, but the amplifier should be looked at by a professional, anyway. It's a fire and shock risk if not checked out, and if not, you could've seriously damaged the power transformer, rendering it useless. Just a friendly warning. Your friend there seems knowledgeable on the mechanical part, and you can rely on him for at least that. Have fun with your new jukebox! You're the envy of many in the vintage electronics community, now. :)

We purchased a 1961 (Same model) Wurlitzer with the exception, it's color on the sides are a blonde formica. We had it serviced and cleaned and the guy had a set of external box speakers in his shop. We inquired if he'd consider selling them. We bought them for $300...a steal. What a sound they added to the Juke Box, omygosh! (note: always have at least 2 replacement needles as they do wear quicker than most) Allow me to add, I worked in the 80's as a "Melody Girl" for a national vending machine company then and my job was collecting from many models of the dying vinyl juke box industry. I bought the records from a warehouse and kept the lowest played records as new releases...we have many old labeled original 45's in our collection, last counted to be approximately 1300 and various genres. The counter is on the spinner, tells that info *wink *wink. The only cleaner that's ever been used on the chrome is vinegar water. This is one prized item that will always be cherished by hubs and myself. Enjoy yours!! xo

Beautiful! You'll be rocking and rolling in no time! Would love to redo my house and get one of these and a 60's/70's soda machine. Knick-nacks get in the way!
