Such a beautiful concept for a program, some American television really plays up drama and there's no need to. I'd much prefer a calm and moving show like this than those ANYDAY of the week. Seeing him break down smashed my heart to pieces but the compassion displayed by the shop owners was very touching. This radio being repaired probably meant more to him than any amount of money in the world 🥺 if my husband isn't as loyal, kind, and loving as this man is, I don't want anything at all.

    • @drealynne4256

@Phillip Banes Where is this concept that most women are just looking for money in men? I guess you could say that about men using women for sex right 🤷🏽‍♀️ almost the same amount of women and men are employed. Women are not the only ones who enjoy money ya know. The only women I know who are gold diggers are the ones you see on TV or hear on these podcast talking crazy to get more views. Most women just want a stable man who she can build a life with. It isn't man vs woman thing, it's a horrible person vs horrible person thing. There is so many good women and men out there! Maybe these guys should stop looking for only pretty faces and sexy bodies and you might just find a loyal, hard working, and kind hearted girl. I know quite a few of them.

He was brought up working on valve radios in his youth but he remember how to repair old gear no problem.. He passed away 6 yrs last week and I keep his old radio pride of place and it's still work. This brought a lump to my throat.. it's never just a radio its about the memories.

When I see this man going into the repair shop to have a radio repaired that he had once shared with the love of his life and I see the genuine concern of the men at the counter, I get a renewed sense of hope for Mankind. The world has many things wrong and yet, here you have something that is Very Right. I'm not even worthy to carry that man's radio. He's a Man's, Man. He is a real tough guy. A man who lived for his wife and family. I hope that more men would follow this example of what a real Man is. God Bless this man, his daughter and the people of that repair shop.
