Great work guys! It’s very impressive. I don’t mind no gloves and boots, I just can’t cope with no safety glasses and cutting torch goggles. I’m glad you have a welding mask! Arc eye is very painful! - Best wishes from UK 🇬🇧
No goggles for cutting is one of the few things I wonder about, there’s potential that they work with such thick material the light is rarely ever above the surface.

Nice welds doesn't mean that it's a good weld. They started in the middle of the arm and left a area which they filled up later. I'm not a expert in welding but I would have started from the outside and even welded to it so that I can start from the outside and go with the weld material in the V

Greetings from the UK guys! Amazing repair with only the most basic equipment. Ignore the arse-hole comments, you had a customer with a busted machine that was of little use to them in the old state and you have given them something to continue working with for a few more years. Is it repaired to CAT Spec(?), probably not, but if it breaks again in a few more years you'll just fix it again. That's what these dummies don't appreciate.
😂😂😂 a repair means to bring it as close as possible to like-new conditions, Look at time frames at 2:00 and 12:00 and you’ll see they cut off pieces about .75m long and replaced them with pieces .35m long. 😂😂
