    I started with an Anycubic Mega Pro for my first year and then bought a P1P. While I do value the amount of maintenance I learned in that first year, the P1P is glorious for my needs. Great video!

    Form this video and your advice I got Adventurer 3, but i got the upgrade version Adventurer 3 Pro 2. Nice and easy printer work with. Keep up the good work

    even bambu P1P isn't without flaws (it can be finicky about bed orientation, sometimes prints don't stick well to the bed), but out of all the printers for sale it's about the only one I would buy (and did). Good on you for at least letting the new one get some testing before recommending it. Too many channels see new toy and instantly want to recommend it.

    While you did mention not waiting for the next thing i strongly recommend picking up the Flashforge Adventure 5M instead of the 3/4. Comes in at just $100 more and is easily one of the best sub $1,000 printers on the market.

    @3dpprofessor Which mid range (£800 avg) do you recommend, and should I get a core xy, enclosed printer ?

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  8 месяцев назад

      I don't normally do my shopping in !(USD), but if the conversion right now is accurate... well, it still depends. Are we talking about for a beginner machine or are we talking a production machine or what? What's the environment you want to use it in?
      If the answer is "I just want to print cool stuff", then yes, you absolutely want an enclosed core XY machine, if only because right now those are the reasonable ones at that price and the enclosure does make you a little safer. Any of the bambu knockoffs, like the Flashforge Adventurer 5 or Creality K1 would probably fit the bill. The Bambu P1P if you're willing to put in the effort to enclose it yourself.

    Hello Sir, I have a few questions if you don’t mind. I had ordered a creality s1 pro this morning, about 10 hours ago, came across one of your other videos, panicked and canceled my entire order. I am brand new to 3-D printing however, I’m not new to creating art as I have been a mural, artist, tattoo, artist, airbrush artist, and oil painter for over 30 years. The main reason I want a 3-D printer is to make jewelry for my ears since I have giant holes in them some toys, custom tattoo, machine frames and custom airbrush frames. Nothing I am planning on making is really going to be larger than 6 to 8 inches. I cannot have a resin printer where I live currently because I don’t want the toxic fumes to poison my animals, and the rest of my house is just too darn cold all the time since I have roommates to like to keep my house freezing. so I’m going to need a filament printer so I’ve been looking at creality, elegoo, bambu, and all of those guys and I just am overwhelmed at this point as to which direction to go as far as getting my first printer. I am able to watch plenty of RUclips videos, helping me learn how to use them. I really don’t want to spend the majority of my time just learning how to figure out how to use them. Also, I don’t have a computer I only have an iPad Pro and my iPhone to use, so I need a printer that I can run using apps that work on my iPad Pro. My budget is $600. What would you say is the best first printer for me? My budget is actually $650 and I am willing to send $50 of it to you for a good recommendation.

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  6 месяцев назад

      I'm sorry I scared you, but I think you made the right choice. Especially considering your limiting computer choices.
      Sound like you've done some good research and know the dangers of resin. That's good. I might have otherwise recommended it because the detail is amazing.
      Considering that you only have an IPad to use, I might recommend the Creatily K1 if only because of the cloud slicer that comes with it. You can use Tinkercad or Nomad Sculpt to make 3D models, save them, and upload them to Creailty cloud to print them. In fact I would recommend trying both Tinkercad and Nomad sculpt before you get a 3D printer, because making custom 3D print models is the hardest part.
      In fact Creailty Cloud is the only app I know of that allows you to upload 3D models and slice them without a computer. So I think that's your only option for now.
      And you can have that suggestion, no charge.

    How does the SV06+ rank as a first "$300-ish" printer? Saw your other video on it (and many, many others) and I'm leaning towards it right now as my first printer. The Amazon coupon brings it down to $320. Also, came for printer reviews -- stayed for that outro. 🙏 Edit: Looks like SV06+ is only $289 on Sovol's website for Halloween. What honest competition does it even have at this price point?

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, the SV06 is a fine choice. I guess my experience with the 04 and 07 kinda soured me on Sovol in general. But it's a good price, for sure.
      But you gotta ask, why are they trying to get rid of them so quickly?

    How difficult would it be to create a small 3D Printing business? That makes about $50k a year?

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  8 месяцев назад +1

      Is $50k a year considered a small business these days? I could live off that.
      I would say fairly difficult. I mean, how difficult would you consider just creating a business, never mind with the constraint of "3D Printing"?

    is making 3d printyers from scratch at home ded or is it just not the begginer friendly thing to do?
    on one hand you learning a lot about how it works, on the other hand people now have cheap alternatives all year long and many people have short atention span so they never finish building one and can just waste time and money
    plus building your own printer nowdays is ofter just buying premade 3d printer parts and assembling them like a kit with not much oryginal thinking
    so would anyone recomand making a diy printer nowdays instead of buying branded machine?

    • @3dpprofessor
      @3dpprofessor  8 месяцев назад

      Definitely not a beginner friendly thing to do.
      And, I would say, not super common. Even the famous Voron kit, the most popular DIY solution nowadays, most people buy a kit for it and don't self-source their components.
      The problem with "built from scratch" is there's a lot of "Well, I don't have that part, but this part's similar lemme just... nope, gotta jimmy it up" and you end up with a kludge that you love, but that's got a dozen quirks.
      If you want a project, then go for it. But if you want to use a 3D printer, your best choice is to get a 3D printer.

      @@3dpprofessor yes, been there done that
      i actually made a 3d printer already, using other 3d printer, and as you said it is klunky lovable machine with some quirks but not much, compared to my ender 3 it was mostly printed on it is smaller, faster and a bit z wobbly with not enough parts cooling, and definitely can't print abs, but it is a small workhorse i keep at work for small pla prints and to be honest it is much more relible than a 3d printer we as a highschool got from the goverment. and it was made from most nonstandard components like computer power suply and furniture drawer linear bearing sliders 1$ each but buying parts like ramps board, atmega, screen and hotend, not to mention aluminium plates kind of nulyfid any finanyial benefits of making my own thing, but at least it is very eyecatch yellow thing i can drop to a bus and show around on school promotion fairs to make people interested in a school with unique things
