I’m so sick of this debate. People should just be happy that we have so many stores to shop at. We have Home Depot, Spirit Halloween, Lowe’s, Party City, Morris Costumes, and Menards (if you live in the Midwest). All of these stores (not including Spirit) were selling the same stuff over a decade ago but now we have many different animatronics to choose from.
It’s not really about being ungrateful, it’s just seeing how each company has their own way of evolving and truly bringing us something fantastic every year. I just made this video because Home Depot definitely brought us an advanced line up this past year, but I’m sure another company will blow us away soon. A big part of business is for companies to compete for the happiness of their consumers. So it is, for many people, fun to debate on who is bringing what to the table.
You should've also mentioned that the Boogeyman was basically a licensed animatronic character just without the license. That was a very unique approach to Halloween animatronics and I hope they do it time and time again
That is true, it allows for the animatronic to be cheaper for the company and the consumer without paying for the license, and at the same time it gives the consumer their own original character, that is inspired by an already popular character. I could definitely see more props like him.
