I remember standing there, not quite believing what a fantastic noise was coming from these three ladies. I’m super grateful the stars aligned for me to stumble gormlessly into the main arena and witness this set happening in front of me. Pure class.
@@zocco15az You are lucky that YT selects good stuff for you, all I get directed at is videos about chainsaws, the Beatles and god, none of which I have ever searched for.
16 year old me was a pig in s**t that weekend! Got shivers up my back seeing it again. I was absolutely wrecked on painkillers and Thunderbird wine all weekend lol but still remember most of it. Very very happy daze!
Fortunate to see them often in Minneapolis at local bars in my 20's. Lori was very sweet and social with a Big smile and the charming tone of her voice, wonderful times.
@flint the kaka harris I honestly do not know anyone who has bought anything by him, I knew one person who claimed to like his "tunes" But like you say, he could not name a single one.
Thanks for watching and commenting, by chance, a few from Salem have commented on different videos over the years, for some reason, they usually saw where they are from, I like it though.
I don’t care I love them Courtney and Kat on a scale that I cannot say one is better than the other. However. When it comes to pure grunge rock. The epitome of grunge. Kat Bjelland is the QUEEN of GRUNGE. Whilst Courtney Love is the QUEEN of Rock / Alternative
@@sansastark2508 I’m pretty sure it’s about Courtney coping her, hence the line “I got this thing that follows me around” and the lookalike in the music video.
It's pure insanity I tell you. *Hole* should have the popularity that *Babes in Toyland* has and *Babes in Toyland should have the popularity that *Hole* has... Heck, even MORE so.
I doubt it exists. A few months back a TV station in Spain contacted me for an higher quality, un watermarked digital copy of another band from this festival. They said that the producers of the show no longer had any master tapes and the Spanish editor was directed to me for the best known copies.
nope, kat bjelland said this isn't about courtney, but is instead about someone both her and courtney happened to call "violet". courtney says hole's violet is about billy corgan, so there's your answer.

Blows mind mind how such a tiny person makes such an unfathomably huge sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
exactly
Yeah amplifiers and PA systems sure work 😘
Isn’t she like 5’5?
@@ivantashakov1178yep I am 5'4 and have some good screams too luckily short stature does not automatically just screw you with thin tiny vocals.
@@ivantashakov1178A giant...😂
Her scream actually gives me shivers. She was unbelievably talented. Love babes in toyland sm
man the scream at 1:45 was brutal, i fuckin love her
Damned, she could really sing in a live performance. So many could not. I always liked Babes in Toyland, in particularly their "Sweet 69."
Ha 69 likes how fitting
she has the best scream ive ever heard
WHY COULDNT I HAVE BORN A LITTLE EARLIER?!
It was a great time. Sorry you missed it.
90’s what a time. Angst. Speed. Insanity. Hospital. Charcoal. Depression. Punk. Energy. Repeat....
I laughed and sighed simultaneously reading this comment
That’s why I love the 90s alt grunge scene, especially the ones inspired by punk rock.

Criminally underrated Band. Early 93 they Toured with Faith No More & Kyuss. Kat is a Legend♡
Kyuss was the shit.

She's gorgeous
This was the first song I learned to scream, now I use her vocal technique in my own songs I’ve written. Kat Bjelland changed my life
Any tips?
I am so glad that I was there to see this live :)

I was there too, it was fucking brilliant.
I wish I was there😤
That scream ❤

It's so good it sounds like the studio version and better. Fontanelle is a milestone in rock music, one of the best albums of the 90s.
Gone are the days of decent lineups!! Went to many Reading Festivals in the early 90s , amongst best times of my life!!
Those were the days, my friend
Fortunate to see them often in Minneapolis at local bars in my 20's. Lori was very sweet and social with a Big smile and the charming tone of her voice, wonderful times.
Ahhhh I feel young again ! Early 90s the reading festival was incredible, it's a joke nowadays 😫😫
I might go, if Stormzy is playing.. Said no one ever 🤣
@flint the kaka harris he was headlining Glastonbury last year, I happily missed it to go and watch tame impala headline another stage 👍🏻👍🏻

Wow she sounds amazing live. Kate 🥰🎶🎵
The most interesting thing about this video is Kat's black dress.
Thanks for taping this. Good to know someone else out there supports the real true rock and roll underground. Cause we are all there is.
