I remember writing notes on the Odyssey in one of my classics courses. One line that stuck out was that Argos represents the state of the house. "But now with his master gone he lay there, castaway" (line 324; Fagles). Moreover, the brief exchange between master and loyal dog shows that Odysseus brought death with him on his way to kill the suitors.

In case anybody didn't know, Odysseus' dog waits for him to get home, and then dies. Odysseus (in disguise) can't mourn him or even care about him when he sees him die because that would break his cover
You didn't actually mention the sad part: Argos dies of joy because he recognizes his master even in disguise. He was a very, very old dog who waited faithfully to see Odysseus again, and when he finally does, his poor old heart can't take it and he drops dead. And Odysseus couldn't even pet his beloved, loyal dog who was celebrating his return because he had to pretend he was someone else.

Every time I listen to these songs, I imagine an actual stage performance and Hermes doubles as the narrator, introducing the story as well as setting up each saga and making jokes the whole time.

At the start* of the song "Puppeteer," the musical melody was the same when odysseus ordered polites to gear up and to go with him to "try to find a way no one ends up dead" I interpret this as odysseus remembering what he said and beating himself up for leading his men and his best friend to die, which is heartbreaking. When I hear the song "No Longer You" all I think of is Hellfire. And Plagues from Prince of Egypt to me feels like somewhat of a song that would fit in with the story of Odysseus, primarily the lyrics of Moses and the Ramses. But I love your songs though, they get me through the day and make sure my imagination never runs out.
No clue if it's intentional or if he said it before but my favourite thing is how Odysseus adopted Polites' "Thank you" after he died. Polites' says it in "Open Arms" after the lotus eaters tell them about the cave and the first time we hear Odysseus says it is in "Luck Runs Out" after Eurylochus promises him to trust him and I don't know, I think it's just a beautiful detail

I mean, do we really _want_ to see him again? Argo (the dog) is like, the saddest dog in all of mythology. He (spoilers) Waits 20 years for Odysseus to come back, and dies after finally getting to see him again. So like, if we see the dog again it’s going to be as it’s dying.
What Jay's doing is probably the best compromise. Not ignoring the dog altogether but not showing *that* moment later either... I'll take the Legendary mention.
I love all of these and they made me laugh and cry 🤣 I do feel bad about you wanting to not show Argos later in the story again, as originally he passes as soon as it seens Odysseus for the first time in years (most loyal doggo ever). Are you avoiding writing a dog dying, Jay? In that case I can't blame you!
Part of me always wondered if those clocks, and the piano showing up in odd spots throughout, were a sign that Athena was the narrator of the story, or at least if it was being sort of... framed as her perspective on the story. And given the gods are able to essentially summon their own chorus and music... well it's just a thought that's been at the back of my head
I love that I caught the storm one and a few others. Btw you're a musical genius, Jay. I went on a rant (positive) about EPIC and the different references of some songs in other tracks (like how some characters have a specific motifs to them like Penelope and Athena) for like 30 minutes and could go way longer. I love this musical so much, it's my newest special interest.
It would kill me with joy if you were to include some easter eggs of Hades I and II !! I was very disappointed, even though I knew that it would never happen in a million years for a million different reasons, when I talked to Odysseus and it WASN'T you voicing him! xD
I design the costumes for this show in my spare time, but was having a hard time with Eurylocous and Polites as their mythological roles are adapted, and this helps so much! Also just cosplayed as Aerith at Comicon and love kingdom hearts, so these all make me so happy!

There is an awesome foreshadowing motif i caught in pupeteer too. When Ody tells Eurylocus to save the secret he has for later it plays a line from luck runs out. Indicating that when he was going to spill said secret right before his luck ran out and ody was betrayed. The foreshadowing hits me every time!
What I love in the sagas is when it finally got to the Underworld Saga and we hear Odysseus’ Mom, Anticlea, in the first song and she’s singing the word “Waiting…”, it reminded me of “The Challenge” which is Penelope’s song. And in the last part of that song Penelope’ sings the word “Waiting…”
Sir. There is an animatic, where it's part of I believe one of your snippets for open arms, and it's an animatic for Argos. It should be quite easy search, it made me sob. So it would be wonderful if maybe you could go watch that, or if you have already watched it, please tell us what you think?
When I hear the clock effect followed by Athena saying "HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THE LESSONS I TAUGHT YOU?!" in Remember Them, I think of Young Xehenort's time powers as both the secret boss in Kingdom Hearts: BBS and his boss fight in Dream Drop Distance.

I love all of these and they made me laugh and cry 🤣 I do feel bad about you wanting to not show Argos later in the story again, as originally he passes as soon as it seens Odysseus for the first time in years (most loyal doggo ever). Are you avoiding writing a dog dying, Jay? In that case I can't blame you!
Part of me always wondered if those clocks, and the piano showing up in odd spots throughout, were a sign that Athena was the narrator of the story, or at least if it was being sort of... framed as her perspective on the story. And given the gods are able to essentially summon their own chorus and music... well it's just a thought that's been at the back of my head

I love that I caught the storm one and a few others. Btw you're a musical genius, Jay. I went on a rant (positive) about EPIC and the different references of some songs in other tracks (like how some characters have a specific motifs to them like Penelope and Athena) for like 30 minutes and could go way longer. I love this musical so much, it's my newest special interest.
It would kill me with joy if you were to include some easter eggs of Hades I and II !! I was very disappointed, even though I knew that it would never happen in a million years for a million different reasons, when I talked to Odysseus and it WASN'T you voicing him! xD
I design the costumes for this show in my spare time, but was having a hard time with Eurylocous and Polites as their mythological roles are adapted, and this helps so much! Also just cosplayed as Aerith at Comicon and love kingdom hearts, so these all make me so happy!

There is an awesome foreshadowing motif i caught in pupeteer too. When Ody tells Eurylocus to save the secret he has for later it plays a line from luck runs out. Indicating that when he was going to spill said secret right before his luck ran out and ody was betrayed. The foreshadowing hits me every time!

What I love in the sagas is when it finally got to the Underworld Saga and we hear Odysseus’ Mom, Anticlea, in the first song and she’s singing the word “Waiting…”, it reminded me of “The Challenge” which is Penelope’s song. And in the last part of that song Penelope’ sings the word “Waiting…”
