It's neither ageism or misogyny. She chose to destroy her face and people have noticed it. Simple as that.

Maybe she wouldn't have got all that work done on her face if society and Hollywood would've stopped discrimination against women's age. If they know a woman is in her 30s no matter how beautiful she is then they stop casting them for lead roles. In the music business they look for youth no matter how talented the older person is. Madonna is responsible for her appearance but, women are discriminated against due to ageism. Men and women in general find it difficult to age. People should understand that and have more compassion for people. It's definitely not misogyny like she claims nor is it ageism but I do understand her trying to look younger than she is. She just had too much fillers and I'm sure she regrets it now.

It was complete ageism in the end when Piers said, enjoy her show if you want to see her prancing around in her 60s.

I’m 🇺🇸 and a 46 female. I absolutely loved Madonna back in the day. Saw her in concert on her Blond Ambition tour in L.A., CA. Loved her. She is a legend.
I can say, I was shocked when I saw her face. Cringed too bc she was gorgeous at one time. We all age but she has snatched face up so hard that she looks like an alien.

People know she is not 40 years old. There is a difference of wanting to look younger to be appreciated and noticed. However, she took it to a level where she is almost unrecognizable unless she is introduced. She did something to get attention but in a wrong way. She changed her looks, she changed her mentality, she changed her persona - that may be difficult to accept from her fans. She does not have to do anything to be appreciated, to be loved, to be liked and to be accepted. I may be wrong of saying, she is not the person she thinks.

It saddens me greatly that, as a former Wannabe Madonna Puppet Girl, I never saw Madonna for who she truly was even though it was always as obvious as her in-your-FACE antics. That SEX book of hers? I know a man whose daughter was a friend of madonnas daughter when they were younger so he had been to Madonna’s house a few times. He knows a lot of celebrities by being in the television industry himself and never says a bad word about anyone. I asked him about Madonna and the only thing he would ever say was that she was “ very very very rich”. I don’t think he was very impressed with her at all. But he did say Lourdes was a sweet person and a good friend to his daughter.

In all fairness, I do think there is ageism and pressure to uphold the image of eternal youth and beauty involved, when it comes to female celebrities. That said, she could have gone easy on the stuff she has had done or taken inspiration from other female celebrities who choose to age naturally. Instead Madonna has not only ruined her face but also her legacy in the sense that she will be remembered for her current look and social media antics. I mean she had a successful career. There is nothing wrong with withdrawing from the spotlight and just enjoy her family, wealth, travel, eat, hang out with friends etc. She needs an intervention by her loved ones.
