I’m sure it’s ralfy who says don’t swirl, I love the Schott Zwiesel Whisky Nosing Glass like the copita but better . It’s interesting pouring the same whisky into a few different glasses and comparing the difference.
Pike Creek is Canadian whisky. But it’s corn and rye made with a column still, so you aren’t far off thinking it was a bourbon 😅 You guys should do a regular segment of “send us your bad home blends for us to review”. I could watch that all day! Really enjoying the podcast. Cheers!

Penicillin cocktail Ginger - 4 coin-sized slices Muddle the ginger in shaker 2.5 oz Kilchoman Machir Bay 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice 0.75 oz Honey Syrup(3:1 honey to water) Shake on ice and double strain into lowball with block of ice Garnish with candied ginger
Great episode. My go to is an old fashioned but discovered whisky Mac this year which is really nice, just whisky and ginger wine! I’m with you on swirling, helps bring out the flavours for the nose 👃

Ooof. That affogato sounds great so I thought I’d try my own version when I got home. Completely fucked it. Too much whisky. Possibly too much coffee and not enough ice cream. Might have ice cream in my cold brew coffee in the morning however . Best skip the booze at breakfast though…
