I love when the boss joins Jeremy on the channel because Allison truly brings her own flavor that we all love. You guys are simply the best. Thanks for another amazing video guys. Cheers to you both.
Old Fashioned, my absolute favorite whiskey cocktail. I've always liked it with Woodford or Four Roses, but surprisingly, one of the best I've ever had was made with Dickel.
Citrus is great in winter too. Most Citrus ripens very late autumn or early winter down south, so it's just a mindset adjustment. Your wife is lovely. 💛
I think my go to is a blend of old fashioned and whiskey ginger. I use an ice ball, bitters, cask strength makers mark, ginger ale and garnish with orange peel. Love it.
12:36 "in the traditional malt whisky making process, malted barley is turned by hand by malt men using large heavy malt shovels. Years ago, some malt men would develop a strain injury which had a tendency to cause their arm to hang down a bit like a monkey's"
Hey Jeremy, I thought I’d answer your question about why it’s called monkey shoulder. It is a tribute to the Pete shovelers in Scotland, after many years of shoveling peat they start to go hunchback and develop what is known as “monkey shoulder”. Cheers!
i bought mr black based off your recommendation and i was not disappointed. the cold fashioned is one of my new fav drinks now. i think i could drink the bottle of mr black straight up no problem it is so dangerously good.
My husband got me to watching your channel because he has watched you for a while. Loved this video, I love mixing drinks myself so I loved the recipes. I laugh everytime you and your lovely wife are in videos because its like my husband and I. Cheers Ya'll 🥃
I love how y'all are unpretentious and keep it real, my wife has started watching these videos with me now : ) We're gonna try some of these recipes on the road up in Colorado on Spring Break 🥃 Cheers y'all!!!
Anders is great - be sure to check out his recent episode on the La Louisiane cocktail, it and the Sazerac are my favorite New Orleans based cocktails.
Monkey shoulder was named from the physical injury the mashers got from how they stired the mash during scotch making. The injury was named monkey shoulder by old Scottish doctors. Due to the removal of the stir from machinery advancements the injuries have since stopped , but monkey shoulder scotch is a really nice blend of 3 single malts.
Recent subscriber, just want to say massive props for your music choices. Life long blues/rock fan and so many of the youtube content creators use modern/other music, so this is a treat.
Just love the show, discussion, comraderie, etc. You mentioned a rusty nail. Wow brought back some long ago memories. That was one of my father's drinks. He's since passed away but brought back some great memories. Many thanks for all the great man Sh_t !!!
i like the godfather. it has a killer name, and it uses amaretto which was my mothers favorite, she loved an amaretto sour. i will try that smokey nail
I love spirit forward cocktails but I think an egg white whiskey sour with Wild Turkey 101 is heaven. You can taste the flavor bourbon without the burn. And I think it’s a perfect way to introduce someone to whiskey!
I am late for the show and a new subscriber and this video is my first introduction to the lady of the estate and can immediately detect that she is a handful to deal with and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Enjoy the content.
TOTALLY agree with higher proof for this drink. My go-to is Noah's Mill. I also use the Old fashioned to determine how good a bartender/bar is for cocktails. I've had soooo many of these that I can speak to the nuances of them and can rattle off top bars. And those who muddle the red cherries and orange slice get the one drink order than get water for the rest of the night. :)
11:20 the word we are looking for is "viscous"... I love using that word... instantly makes me seem like I know what im talking about :D love this episode guys!
Love this video. The Old Fashioned is a great autumn/winter cocktail, that is when Oranges are in season here in the USA. I usually drink them from Thanksgiving through the first of the year. Whiskey Ginger, with Ale 8 and Woodford Reserve is a great all year round drink and I really enjoy them in the heat of the summer. In May my go to is a cocktail, which was not mentioned here and that is the Mint Julep. God bless you and your family.
Great video love using a bit of real maple syrup in my old fashioned’s instead of the Demerara. But better to use rye as whiskey to offset the sweetness. The whiskey ginger is one of my go to hot weather drinks it’s just damn refreshing.
Great idea with the chocolate bitters with the Cold Fashioned! The Cold Fashioned is a go-to of mine. I like to use the Fee Brothers black walnut bitters and also 1-2 dashes or orange bitters. All the flavors work great together. Cheers!
Mr. Black!!!… booyah. Variations… that’s what makes an Old Fashioned soooo fun. Just adjusting any one of the portions (large ice cube/ball vs regular ice cubes), changes the drink. Pssst… Tiki bitters.
I'M A HUGE Cold Brew drinker so you've now got me running out to buy Mr. Black Coffee Liquor! Would love some other mixture suggests with that Mr. Black as well
Great show! My wife is excited to try a couple of these tonight. When the wife and I go out, Old Fashioned with Wild Turk 101 is my usual. I really like the new ideas, Thanks!
You and Al are great on screen together brother!! She is Golden. That whiskey and ginger beer with lime is a Kentucky mule ain’t it? I use diet ginger beer so I don’t add unnecessary calories lol
Will be trying some of these out this weekend! I'm typically drinking old fashioned with woodford double oaked, but never had one with the Rich Demerara syrup. Will be picking some up
Going off that Cold Fashioned, try the Coffee and Cigarettes from Death & Co. 2 oz Islay Scotch, 1/2 oz Mr. Black Cold Brew, bar spoon of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of those xocolatl mole bitters you got there. Stir and serve up. My favorite right now, it’s awesome, and is not for the faint of heart!
Great video. I've been following Andres for a couple years. He's awesome. In his Sentimental Gentleman video he also makes a Staggering Gentleman. It's a stronger, bourbon, version of the drink. Both are winners!
Great content again Jeremy - enjoying this with a Kilchoman Sanaig Islay Malt and a Perez Carillo cigar - both of which I would recommend. All the best from Fife in Scotland. Keep up the great work man. Slàinte Mhath.
i would say my couple of favorite drinks are Jameson Irish Whiskey mixed with Pepsi (mainly the whiskey and faint on the pepsi otherwise i prefer it 100% straight which i prefer straight most the time) Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack and Coke, and i like Jameson with Dr. Pepper as well. Taste like those little root beer barrel candy lol
You should try "Filthy" cherries, they're a little more on the tart end which is nice when you're making a cocktail that's already a little on the sweeter end due to adding simple syrup or some other sweetener, you get a little extra bite without the sweetness. Love Anders channel as well, been meaning to try something he mentioned with bourbon and a walnut liquor that I've been having trouble finding in my area
Tossing this one out there. Make a Penicillin. Check out How To Drink if you want a reference point. A good alternative to Lagavulin for the recipe is Ardbeg 10
I knew the Rusty Nail would pop in the video. Drambuie is a fantastic liqueur to pair with Whisky. Great shout out to my friend Anders. I hope you will make some cocktails in feature. Smashing video one again.
Bro Ima Do A Review With My Wife Soon. I Think It’s More Interesting To Have A Extra Person To Engaged To. But Your Whiskey Cocktails Is A Must Try, I Think My Wife Gone Love This One!!!!!
Another very enjoyable video! Love it when Allison joins you, very entertaining! I saved several notes, will definitely try Mr. Black! Thanks again for the entertainment, "y'all" have a good one!
Thanks for the shoutout, Jeremy! Great video and good lookin' drinks - Cheers to you both! 🥃
Absolutely man! Had to give credit where credit is due! Lots of great videos and info on your channel my dude! Keep on keepin on! 😉🤜🏻🤛🏻
Anders is the man. A new cocktail every weekend. Totally brilliant
I can't believe my two FAVORITE channels are hanging together! LOVE IT!
When are we going to see a collaboration with Anders and Az with Jeremy and Allison??? That’s what the viewers want 😂
Anders has made my home bartending better with every poor! Definitely would love to see you both together!
I love when the boss joins Jeremy on the channel because Allison truly brings her own flavor that we all love. You guys are simply the best. Thanks for another amazing video guys. Cheers to you both.
Being a native from Florida, that orange peel means EVERYTHING! Much love from Jacksonville, FL!!!
Love it when I see a family having fun together, that is a really rare sigh these days , that makes it rare and special!
Love seeing Mr Black popping up over there. They are brewed about 5 minutes from my house.
You 2 are a HOOT! And don't forget the "CHEERS"!
Old Fashioned, my absolute favorite whiskey cocktail. I've always liked it with Woodford or Four Roses, but surprisingly, one of the best I've ever had was made with Dickel.
Dickel Rye! Hidden gem!!
Citrus is great in winter too. Most Citrus ripens very late autumn or early winter down south, so it's just a mindset adjustment. Your wife is lovely. 💛
Yeah, our orange tree fruit is usually the best after the first cold snap. 😉👍🏻
Ahhhhhh nice!!! 👍🏻
Yep. That's exactly it! :)
Hey Jeremy, I thought I’d answer your question about why it’s called monkey shoulder. It is a tribute to the Pete shovelers in Scotland, after many years of shoveling peat they start to go hunchback and develop what is known as “monkey shoulder”. Cheers!
Yeah, someone else just told me that also. That’s great info. Gotta tell the wife. 😉👍🏻
Beat me to it! Cheers!
Thumbs up for the use of Monkey Shoulder - the only blended scotch I'm aware of that blends three top drawer single malts. And nothing else.
Old fashioned during Christmas 🎄 nothing better
I'm so glad you mentioned Anders. One of the top channels for classical (and modern) cocktails.
I’ve been subscribed to the chanel for a while now. Until a year ago I also lived 5 minutes away from where Mr Black is made, crazy coincidence.
One twist on the ginger ale and whiskey - use Irish whiskey and it’s called two gingers! Here in MN we have an Irish whiskey called 2 gingers
i bought mr black based off your recommendation and i was not disappointed. the cold fashioned is one of my new fav drinks now. i think i could drink the bottle of mr black straight up no problem it is so dangerously good.
I made Anders "Old Fashioned" with Journeyman "Corsets, Whips, and Whiskey" and it was gold
The chocolate and orange egg is Terry's Choclate Orange Ball.
Jeremy, If you are sometimes stuck with some harsh, to hard to drink neat with plesure blend, try adding small amount of unrefined, solid molasses :)
The whiskey journal looks like a old Pirate captains log book. I love it
Love watching you and your wife videos. My wife and I have been married for 10 years, and you guys remind me us our marriage.
The fact that Al can translate 4 u is hilarious! Loving the Bob Marley tee…1 ❤️. Great videos.
My husband got me to watching your channel because he has watched you for a while. Loved this video, I love mixing drinks myself so I loved the recipes. I laugh everytime you and your lovely wife are in videos because its like my husband and I. Cheers Ya'll 🥃
Nice choice on the chocolate bitters for the Cold Fashioned, cheers Jeremy!
Thanks!!! Really brings out the chocolate in you guys liqueur! Awesome job on that stuff by the way! Goes fantastic with a cigar! 😉👍🏻
Never tried a Rusty Nail with Islay (my favourite whisky) so tonight I shall be drinking a few of those! Great video !
I love all your skits keep doing what you doing
I finally found some Mr Black and made the Cold Fashioned. I used the Metallica Rye the Lightening, even my wife liked it!!!
Always forget to cheers because those drinks are so damn good !
I love how y'all are unpretentious and keep it real, my wife has started watching these videos with me now : ) We're gonna try some of these recipes on the road up in Colorado on Spring Break 🥃 Cheers y'all!!!
Love this, cocktails are the best way to enjoy whisky when you need to make a drink or two last the whole night.
A nice whiskey, a good record and my guitar that's how I end my week...
Anders is great - be sure to check out his recent episode on the La Louisiane cocktail, it and the Sazerac are my favorite New Orleans based cocktails.
Will do! Seems like a great dude and knows his stuff. Maybe a colab one day. 👍🏻
I was surprised he didn't include the Sazerac. A great whiskey cocktail.
I've tried Woodford reserve double oak for my old fashioned and it was great.😊
Monkey shoulder was named from the physical injury the mashers got from how they stired the mash during scotch making. The injury was named monkey shoulder by old Scottish doctors. Due to the removal of the stir from machinery advancements the injuries have since stopped , but monkey shoulder scotch is a really nice blend of 3 single malts.
I love the videos that are about more than just the “product” of the moment. I like those too but I love it when you mix it up.
Recent subscriber, just want to say massive props for your music choices. Life long blues/rock fan and so many of the youtube content creators use modern/other music, so this is a treat.
On the second one to elevate it try adding some amaro for more tart notes or amaretto if you like it sweeter
Awesome video. I will be on the hunt for some of the Mr. Black Coffee Liquer.
I enjoyed my very 1st peach whiskey sour last year during the summer it was perfect very refreshing
I love when you & your wife do these cocktail vids together🔥🙌🏾
Love myself a rusty nail... use nice fermented honey liquor
Just love the show, discussion, comraderie, etc. You mentioned a rusty nail. Wow brought back some long ago memories. That was one of my father's drinks. He's since passed away but brought back some great memories. Many thanks for all the great man Sh_t !!!
WT 101 and Cream Soda! Sooooo guud!
Oooooh that does sound tasty!
i like the godfather. it has a killer name, and it uses amaretto which was my mothers favorite, she loved an amaretto sour. i will try that smokey nail
I love spirit forward cocktails but I think an egg white whiskey sour with Wild Turkey 101 is heaven. You can taste the flavor bourbon without the burn. And I think it’s a perfect way to introduce someone to whiskey!
Godfather is a super easy one. Boulevardier is my go to.
I really like the Sentimental Gentleman made with Glenmorangie 10. It's very bright and works well in that cocktail.
Appreciate this video! I’m enjoying this as I have my cigar!
I am late for the show and a new subscriber and this video is my first introduction to the lady of the estate and can immediately detect that she is a handful to deal with and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Enjoy the content.
Love me some Mr. Black. Definitely underrated and I use it to make Mr. bali Hai tiki cocktails in the summer. Your channel is top notch!
If im having a rough day i can just watch this video,ya'll are a trip!
You have the old, good Early Times. I stocked up myself when they were sold.
Great vid, Jeremy! Now I'm thirsty and still have half a workday left!
11:20 the word we are looking for is "viscous"... I love using that word... instantly makes me seem like I know what im talking about :D love this episode guys!
Bro, excellent videos! Really want to try the Mr. Black. I love coffee and Bourbon so there’s nothing to lose.
Some of my favorites for sure. I also love a Manhattan, Rob Roy, Boulevardier, Bobby Burns, and Sazerac. Cheers 🥃
I’ll have to give them a try. 😉👍🏻
Love this video. The Old Fashioned is a great autumn/winter cocktail, that is when Oranges are in season here in the USA. I usually drink them from Thanksgiving through the first of the year. Thanks for helping my other half to enjoy whiskey and great cocktail ideas. Cheers!
Can't go wrong with the whiskey and ginger. So refreshing 😁
Horsefeather.
I dont always drink whiskey cocktails... but when I do a splash of water is my mixer lol 🥃😎
Check that… it makes a difference.
Great idea with the chocolate bitters with the Cold Fashioned! The Cold Fashioned is a go-to of mine. I like to use the Fee Brothers black walnut bitters and also 1-2 dashes or orange bitters. All the flavors work great together. Cheers!
i just tried this this past weekend, using fee brothers aztec chocolate bitters, this might be my go-to summer cocktail, soooooo good.
The whiskey bible looks cool but I’m still a novice whiskey drinker. I have to try some of these cocktails. That cold fashion sound interesting.
Mr. Black!!!… booyah.
Variations… that’s what makes an Old Fashioned soooo fun. Just adjusting any one of the portions (large ice cube/ball vs regular ice cubes), changes the drink.
Pssst… Tiki bitters.
I agree, it’s a great drink! And lots of fun to experiment with. 👍🏻
Rusty nail is my favorite drink I learned while bartending.
I'M A HUGE Cold Brew drinker so you've now got me running out to buy Mr. Black Coffee Liquor! Would love some other mixture suggests with that Mr. Black as well
Great video! Lots of laughs.
Love these segments. My wife and I are now doing this at home...liquor bill is getting up there!
Will be trying some of these out this weekend! I'm typically drinking old fashioned with woodford double oaked, but never had one with the Rich Demerara syrup. Will be picking some up
love a nice cocktail and love that tudor! Check out that bronze tudor cause I know someone here likes a little patina
Love it when the Mrs is on the show
one of my favorite episodes to date!
“Fan of the leaf”. Nice. I might have to buy rights to that phrase. That is brilliant!
Agreed on the smokey nail!!!
Great video as usual! I’m anxious to try the Mr. Black old fashioned.
Reeeeal good man!
We need more of Both of you guys Y’all are Awesome 🤘🏻🤘🏻🥃🍹🍻Thanks for the laughs from South Georgia come on when your come on 👍🏻
You should try making the Privada Cigar Club Old Fashioned with Tobacco Bitters, nitro simple syrup (or Mr. Black sounds great), and a lemon peel.
i would say my couple of favorite drinks are Jameson Irish Whiskey mixed with Pepsi (mainly the whiskey and faint on the pepsi otherwise i prefer it 100% straight which i prefer straight most the time) Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack and Coke, and i like Jameson with Dr. Pepper as well. Taste like those little root beer barrel candy lol
Love this! Hey Jeremy u need to do a how to fill ur cigar bible video! Just got it for my bday and I was able to fill most of it
Funny shit tonight... just went out to get Mr. Black to make the Cold Fashion on my wedding anniversary. Love it!!!
New fan, great video, love me an Old Fashioned, so will definitely be trying the Cold Fashioned.

I Think It’s More Interesting To Have A Extra Person To Engaged To. But Your Whiskey Cocktails Is A Must Try, I Think My Wife Gone Love This One!!!!!
Try Benedictine and hot water. Known as a Bene 'n' 'ot here in Burnley UK.
All your videos look like cool high quality film.
It is amazing and very interesting.
My favorite RUclips channel. ❤
You two always make my day!!!😂😂😂 Cheers to you both!!!
I have never had the old fashion, but somehow I could taste it as you sipped on it 😅
Another very enjoyable video! Love it when Allison joins you, very entertaining! I saved several notes, will definitely try Mr. Black! Thanks again for the entertainment, "y'all" have a good one!
My absolute favorite cocktail is ice and whiskey.
Before I discovered your channel, I thought Jack&Coke was the coolest thing in the world 😂 Great video man! Cheers to u both 🥃
You guys have a great dynamic. Keep up the awesome videos. I learn a lot every time!
