I grew up in Bridgford, very close to the City Ground. Cloughies non footballing son, Simon, used to (and still does) own a newsagents on Central Avenue. Cloughie used to help out in the shop, on a Tuesday afternoon I think, and one afternoon he caught me looking at a top shelf magazine. He stood behind me and bellowed, "Son..... does your mother know you look at those magazines?!" Never ran so fast in my life.
I am the nephew of a old first division footballer (1980s) and as a kid I had the privilege of going to the players Lounge after games, I was about 9/10 at this time and my uncle team had Some all mighty battles with forest anyway I’d always go and sit down close to mr clough and just listen I even sat down on the long chair right where he was standing one time and he spoke to me and I told him who my uncle is but he knew why I was sitting there, I was just in the presence of a god and I just wanted to see what gods did 🤷🏽♂️ I wasn’t disappointed
He humbled them all else they wouldnt be able to relate these stories so well. They played without feeling the pressure of a big occassion thanks to his mind games.
Personally, he’s my favourite. Even your wildest dreams wouldn’t match those achievements. I wish he could be with us just for an hour to see what has happened to the game.
I loved Brian Clough as a kid. Made me fall in love with football.
Brilliant - I loved Cloughie! 😂😂I fear the game will never see the likes of him again 😑

Good teachers are the ones that keep you grounded. They don’t need to tell you how appreciated you are.
Legend of the game. A tragedy that the addiction to the drink robbed him and all of us of what might have been his best years. RIP.
Tbh without the drink I don't think you'd have most of these stories

God didn't teach you any grammar, though, eh?
I was at his last game at ipswich such a legend in the sport
Loved to have see what he’d say about all the Tom Daley’s in the football sport today
The "jigsaw" one popped me - fair play 🤣🤣
“Let me stop you there, Son”…….🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
The word "Legend" is an accurate desription for the enigma that is Brian Clough.
Absolutely 💯 % fcukin Legend youngman 😂💕🙏🏴
Or description.
A muppet that wanted a good punch
I find Nutcase more accurate myself
@danieljacques5733 I think you could apply that term to many high achiever's.... Just look at the guy in the white house.
He humbled them all else they wouldnt be able to relate these stories so well. They played without feeling the pressure of a big occassion thanks to his mind games.
He should have been England manager
This is quite movin really.
Head butting pizzas😂
I didn't realize the Geico Gecko played for Forest.
He grounded the good
Headbutting pizzas lmaoooo
1973/74 Leeds didnt win anything, lost league, FA Cup, European Cup. Turned Cloughie away and fell into some sort of wilderness.
F brilliant

Nothing as a manager without Taylor
headbutting pizzas 😂
With all the pearl clutchers in football these days he wouldn’t stand a chance at managing
The best Manager England never had
Who are each one of the speakers?
Stuart Pearce (captain), Mark Crossley (shithouse)
Matt Forde is pizza boy
Not during his 44 days at ELLAND ROAD
Who was pizza-face?

Shame football has gone to player power ...players gang up on managers play shite and get them sacked
@@jamesnesbit5404 What do you think the Leeds players did to Clough back then?
Best manager England never had
So wait, Crossley was there when Gemmill was playing?.. this guy is a total liar
Gemmill was also a coach at Forest you donk.
@frostyrobot7689 you suck
Alcohol eventually caught up with him
What’s with this Coldplay song fading into every football video like this? 😂
Not a very nice man imho.
He actually was, very kind and generous, just very honest and very blunt, all his ex players love him
Personally, he’s my favourite. Even your wildest dreams wouldn’t match those achievements. I wish he could be with us just for an hour to see what has happened to the game.
Ex service ...that’s when that blunt honest truth came from.
You are wrong. He was straight out with the truth, no bull.
@stephenguppy7882 rude in the guise of honesty.
I really hate that song
So overrated and hardly won anything
Just the 2x European cups, 1x super cup, 2x first division titles, 4x league cups
Ignorant comment, well done.
You just don't get it do you ??
@@MyTing775 possibly. Irony needs a little more delicacy sometimes.
Must be the most ridiculous comment I’ll see on RUclips 😂
