    Watching this in 2019 and it doesn't even feel like its a video about 5 years old. The same PowerDrift level quality attribute. 🔥

      omnipotent 961. I have been using it for more than a year now. The rear brakes lack the bite but the front drops the anchor well. Z650 will soon replace ER6N. If you can wait you might be able to get similar bike with ABS 😉

    Hello guys... got the ER6N in November.. infact the dealer said mine was the 1st reg in Mumbai.. really njoying riding it since then... already clocked more than 2.5k kms... never felt short of power... infact ride neck to neck with the 1000cc's until 160kmph on the weekend rides... thanks to amazing low n mid range torque.. very very easy to ride in city unlike the ER6F... n surely is a duke killer on the Highway... Turn heads where ever it goes... cudn't ask for more... ABS cud had been a blessing but still worth a buy

      capriguy12 All praises and salutes for the ER-6n! Congratulations on your babe! Recent reports say that ABS will be mandatory in the bikes to comes. Will it also come as an aftermarket accessory? Only time will tell.

    I've put a deposit down on one of these today, and am glad it's not just me who noticed the distance between the foot peg and gear lever is 1/2" further than other bikes so feels like your toes are lifting the lever and not the top of your foot. The gear change feels also like it has a longer throw than other bikes.

  • @magicalempire

    yes the front can slip easily, but the bike can be put under control if skilled and wait, when out of control. if you have this bike make sure you have front tyres with good grip

    Agreed, most every new street bike should come standard with ABS. I'd certainly consider this as a distance bike. I much prefer the lower power NC700X Honda as a cross tourer. The 270 degree crank just has a much nicer sound :)

    I really love your videos and the reviews are really amazing with latest and greatest automotive products been covered brilliant job :). I just have one thing to say all your videos are way way to flashy with loads of visual effects, transition etc at every frame of the other. Its a brilliant editing job but its too distracting as you start focusing on a frame and all of a sudden there is a transition effect or frame changes its a bit distracting as I more interested in the product rather than the cool transitions & effects. Just a view from your viewer thats what I feel none the less this is the best channel to keep up to date along with really awesome reviews :) thanks.

    • @powerdriftofficial
      @powerdriftofficial  9 лет назад

      Swastik Sunki Who wants a drab and a boring visual? That is when entertainment comes into picture and hence the effects. :)

    • @SwastikSunki
      @SwastikSunki 9 лет назад

      True that with all the effects and audio that compliments it, but too much of effects don't entertain rather distract's and becomes annoyance to the user's viewing experience. It's an opinion as overdoing something may kill the little things. Anyways, its my opinion and I don't expect you guys to change everything :) and I am glad that you guys have viewed and responded :) thanks.

    Dear Powerdrift
    lots of questions raise in my mind while riding , is not the point ,point is every individual in India needs a chief riding officer to explain how we can ride on normal roads , like a guidance to every armature here maybe a series or a video explaining may work out . its a suggestion or humble request , to make safe riding back home to place called home. Next time he or she hops on to ride remembers what need to done or what need to be kept in mind .
    thanks & Regards

      Iboo30 The engine specs are the same as the Ninja 650. The top whack will be a little less than its fully faired brother because of the aerodynamics.

      For the power in the bike are the brakes of ER-6N sufficient enough to stop the bike under sudden braking. You have tested the bike on the track...how was the braking? I understand the bike has good power delivery but does the brakes compliment such power.

    PowerDrift Guys, I'm looking for a fun tourer, willing to corner + go the distance. I do not like the duke 390 exhaust and small tank, the ninja 300 seems not vfm. So considering the er6n too. What would be your suggestion? Budget is not a constraint (upto 6lacs) but I do not like the new colour scheme of the Ninja 650 + feel if I drop the bike I would have more issues to deal with. Can I also consider the Benelli 600? Worried about the weight and low end torque. Damn man, buying a bike shouldnt be this tough!! :(

    • @powerdriftofficial
      @powerdriftofficial  9 лет назад

      Sriramachandran T M Well, the bike that you are not considering is the bike you might want to consider. A simple plug in of the frame sliders and you are good to go! The Benelli GT is a heavy and a tall bike! But it is also an inline four! ;)

Plus there are rumours of the zx6r and 800cc triumph street triple on the way . *fingers crossed * . if it was in my control i would have definitely standardized abs on pretty much all 2 wheelers thanks to our awesome road conditions, yes the increased cost would pinch abit but then it'd prove to be life saver.

      ABS is a lifesaver for anyone not practicing threshold braking. Personally if I rode a purely track oriented machine it would be annoying to have ABS since it takes away from my ability to control the machine. On the street it's great but still takes away from rider skill.

      vidurc
      yep threshold braking is usefull but only on a track where u have prefect road conditions.
      threshold braking involves knowing the limits of ur machine but the limitations of a machine varies with the road conditions and here we got all sorts of nasty stuff like sand, debris, water which spoil the traction. (and i don't know alot of ppl who practice braking on the kind of stuff i mentioned let alone on fresh tarmac).
      plus when we find ourselves in nasty situation , we tend to panic which leads to panic braking and implementing threshold braking while panicking is easier said than done.
      so when it comes to lifesaving abs is still better than threshold braking.

    • @d1sturb3d119
      @d1sturb3d119 9 лет назад

      gunjit singh Not only on a track. What is the definition of threshold braking? The technique involves the driver controlling the brake pedal (or lever) pressure to maximize the braking force developed by the tires. Over any low traction situations it is a combination of threshold braking and engine braking to give you control.
      What do you think ABS does? It reduces or cancels out braking pressure to prevent lock. Which means that you are no longer braking when ABS is in effect. I have to drive on ice here every winter. ABS is great at preventing lock and I use it as a gauge to figure out how hard I need to brake without locking the wheels and engaging the system. However the people that use ABS often typically stay on the brakes assuming ABS is going to sort everything out.
      Call it life saving but the fact is all it creates now is a dependence on the technology. Plenty of crap riders and driver out there who slam their brakes and assume the electronics will take care of it. That is the problem. On ice ABS will stay engaged the entire time until your tires gain traction. The tires are the most important factor in the entire equation. People here blame ABS, Traction control, stability control and more for their stupidity.

    What a Review ! Loved it ... But I have some questions. If the Ergos Are same as of the 650 , is it still a great tourer ?? Considering the fairing is gone ,the windblast will develop strain on the rider but except that fact , are the ergo's and the combination of a Short handle bar still make it a tourer ?? 'coz if this happens then Its the Best combination on a bike . A bike which is good for touring as well as to scrape some Knee on the track !
    Once again Amazing review guys.. P.S. Plz test this thing at lavasa !

      "Wind Blast" man, knock it off.. that is a new term that motorcycle writers invented to sell motorcycles by bashing nakeds to get them to buy super sports. I fly down the road at 130mph on a XB9S... its like a BMX bicycle with a 1000cc motor in it.. "wind blast".. I have never heard of it.

    • @d1sturb3d119
      @d1sturb3d119 9 лет назад +1

      If you're riding on the freeway for 10 hours you'll feel it. Otherwise if you're not touring for hours at high speed you'll never feel it.

      @Gloomshadow100 9 лет назад +1

      vidurc If I am going to tour I will be on a cruiser.. little high performance bikes were not designed for that type of endurance. You can do it but why put yourself through that? No single bike is good at everything.. that is why you want at least two of them.

    • @d1sturb3d119
      @d1sturb3d119 9 лет назад

      Nobody's arguing that. It just comes with the territory. If someone complains about wind while riding a monster bike that's part of the experience. You either like it or you don't. Personally I ride a supersport and its an absolute pain to tour on but I love it. I'm not going to complain about pain since that's not what its built for.

    Hey guys, when will the full review be out? Also r u gonna do a comparo with the hyosung gt650n? I'm actually considering my next bike, currently riding a p220, budget is tight, I'm looking for a fun tourer, between the duke 390, ninja 300, gt650n and er6n which one would you choose?

    • @powerdriftofficial
      @powerdriftofficial  9 лет назад

      Sriramachandran TM What budget are you targeting? If it is around 2 lacs then the Duke 390 should satiate your appetite but if torque is what you are looking at with an extended budget then the N650 should be a good option. The ER-6n being a naked will have a wind blast issue on the highway!

    Had this bike when it was new (2012) for two years (now i have my Street Triple R). The Kawi has lots of torque and i love the handling, but with just 74 bhp it feels slow after 120 kmh.
    Nevertheless, it is a very sporty bike, and at the same time, it is a nice touring bike. I made +6 hours trips on this bike without feeling tired. Sometimes i miss it, hehe.
    PowerDrift why is this a "first ride"? This model is 3 years old.

    • @lillnemo1
      @lillnemo1 8 лет назад

      +Jasper Song EVERY bike is suitable for new riders, as long as that new driver knows what he's doing my pals drove 125cc bikes like madmen, while I drove my 600cc triumph supersport using my brains I never had an incident, while 2 of them totalled their little bikes just saying... these ER6N's have only about 75hp, that's not THAT much and they have some torque but even 400cc bikes have more than power enough to bring you into trouble
