Actually there was a way to switch between characters, you had to redo the mission with the character that you wanted (for example the Jazz mission from The Last Stand level) and after completing it you just had to die and the game would respawn you as the character you wanted
Pssssst. I'll let you in on a little secret. You don't actually need mods to switch characters after beating a level in this game. If you start a mission, complete or quit the mission, then die in the Hub World, the game will respawn you as the character in the last mission you played. It works on all versions of the game as far as I know. It won't help you play characters like Brawl or Bonecrusher, but it's something at least.

I have a question though, can you summon friendly AI drones to assist you in missions as a extra feature? Perhaps in higher difficulties where the enemies are more numerous and perhaps make them available in mostly bonus missions and a select few main story missions.
I used to have a extra mod that added friendly drones to the Hub years back, but sadly it's not compatible with the current version of the mod, so I'd have to remake it. At the moment though I don't really plan on adding friendly drones for the main mod. (But it's something I'll try to add for a extra mod later.)
I remember the only way to even play as previous characters from the level was only a glitch. You'd complete a jazz mission but started out as bumblebee in the city once you finished the game. Then to play as jazz or ironhide again after completing one of the two's missions, you'd respawn as bumblebee again. But you'd just have to purposefully die (which could take forever) and when you respawned you were jazz or ironhide (depending on the mission you completed). Same thing for deceptions as well.

For the main mod, I tried to base each levels character select on who could feasibly be in that level between Chapter 4 and the next level, so in this case it's basically "Daytime More than Meets the eye". Classic Bee would still be played in the main missions if replayed but in the Hub only Bee07 would be playable, since he's the "up to date" version of Bumblebee by that point. I never thought about adding only one of the drones as playable characters like rotf though, that's not a bad idea ngl. Might add that in an update at some point. (It's too close to release now for me to add it in time before then.) It's also worth mentioning that I do plan on making a full "Unrestrained by Story Continuity" character select mod at some point, it would be pretty tricky to make work with 2.0 but I do plan on making it eventually.

Kinda but not really for the first question, and just a straight up no for the second. Sorry. (The game can only load 2 Character Types other than the player\Drones at once without crashing. So 5 plus 4 Autobots is really out of the question)
Just found this after just starting to play TF:TG today and was wondering if its possible that the character select in the future is "unrelated" to the storyline (basically being able to play with any character, even unused ones, on other levels). And what about playable Drones? is that a possibility? Was also wondering if "main Transformers" that you fought as boss battles in missions could be found in the "free roam" mode in-game sometimes was a thing with the mod? Very specific but was wondering if it could work or could even a thing
Unrestricted Character Select is something I plan on adding through an Optional Extra Mod in the next update. Bosses in Free Roam is quite possible, but not sure it's really something I want to do for 2.0. (Especially when other peoples more custom campaign mods are already doing it as far as I know)

That was one of the things I wanted to make an extra mod of for convenience but didn't get around to before my PC died. For Hoover Dam and Last Stand you'd have to manually mod the level to edit out all written Bumblebee07 tags to Bumblebee tags in the cfg and scp files. (But for The Suburbs you should just be able to edit the CreatureSwap scp to remove the 07 from Bumblebees tag inside.) Be aware this may cause instability, the game engine doesn't treat the two Bumblebee creature types the same way and that can lead to odd crashing.
I'm really not sure if this particular game was ever available on Steam to be completely honest with you. If you aren't interested in modding and just want to revisit the game though, I'd actually recommend trying to get either the Xbox 360 or PS2 versions. Those were the most stable, polished and complete versions of the game, while other versions generally had issues. (PC in particular is actually the worst version, as it's the most broken and glitchiest version of them all. Despite that, the PC version is also highly moddable, that's a huge plus for those interested in mods.)

No, continuity is done on a level by level basis. So if you return to The Suburbs, Jazz would still be available in character select since at that point in time he'd still be alive.

Game version shouldn't matter when modding this game. Did you remove Transformers_Lo.dat from the games folder? It prevents the game from loading modded files and loads the vanilla files instead.

Well, in the pinned comment I mentioned a glitch that works to a similar effect. You can use it to free roam as Jazz in More than Meets the Eye and The Last Stand.
I can't help with getting a copy, best legal method I could recommend is getting a physical copy from Amazon or something. Once you have a copy of the game, you can install the mod by following my mod install tutorial video.
It's one of many unused combo animations that The 2.0 Mod restores to Transformers The Game. With the mod installed you'd trigger these moves by interrupting your combo attacks with movement. @@adamus7655 He is. But the mod is the way it is because you could only come back to tranquility during the day and use character select after seeing the intro cutscene to Tranquility2. While you can question the time change, it's worth mentioning the game is normally just as inconsistent with it's time of day. (I mean the Mission City cutscenes keep jumping between broad daylight and sunset for example) Also if I went with the narrative idea that Bee07 couldn't appear as he scans his vehicle form during the night, it would mean I'd have to cut all the other playable Autobots too, because they don't appear until nightfall either.
Ratchet is in the mod, but he CAN'T be playable by default. I'd love to add him as a playable character, but I quite literally can't under any conventional means. I may make an extra mod one day that rewrites a character type for Ratchet, but that would never be compatible with the base mod as someone else must be sacrificed, completely removed, for that to work.
@@xmd0000 This game's PC port is absolutely dreadful, there are tons of basic things most PC ports do that this game doesn't, such as toggleable walking for keyboard users. Modding can't really fix it for keyboard users either, not unless you remove the ability to run entirely.

@@xmd0000 Bonecrusher was never fully finished by the devs, his robot mode creaturetype has hardcoded invulnerability. (He technically doesn't have infinite health though, as this issue does not affect his vehicle mode creaturetype. Because of this, he can only take damage in vehicle mode.) Even if we were able to remove his invulnerability, his melee takehit flags are messed up, which means the game doesn't actually know when something has struck him with melee, and instead interprets everything as ranged damage. (Which is why AI controlled Bonecrusher autoblocks melee)
Hey digital I might be asking to much but for my Player Drones I want to add playable drones and like the Character switch I want to add a trigger at the plains near sam’s house like a second Character switch except for the drones And I sant to switch like DroneDefault_A, DroneForklift_A, DroneArmouredCar_A, (had to replace ratchet as a test) DroneCement_A, DroneTowTruck_A, DronePickupTruck_A and DroneMig_A without going to the files and switching names it’s becoming annoying so how do I do it without crashing the game is it possible?
That's something I planned to add as an extra mod, since doing that in every level requires gutting how drones load in every level/chapter (IE removing features since the mod is built around not playing drones and uses that to it's advantage.) and removing level specific drones in favor of selectable drones that all have the proper set of anims and attribs for player use. (None of the drones have full player type functionality, they're playable but missing abilities. The only Drones that are close are the elites, but they also need Tweaks for player use.) I still plan to do this, I just can't do it till I have a PC again.
@@DigitalArctic I mean in my video I was able to have a fully working Windwhirl for Forklift, Aggressive Charge for ArmouredCar and Sonic Boom for DroneDefault I wanted to show DroneTowTruck since I have finished him you can either go normal spin flail walk or the elite one I also included the Reel in and Hook throw as extra attacks Also when DroneTowTruck falls instead of that ground anim I instead use the slam land anim since I can’t create new animations in this unstable game I instead use this Also for each drone character their melee is little bit faster including pick ups just to even things out instead of making them slow The folder for the drones is called PlayerChars I’m still trying to put a Character switch for the drones so far no success because it won’t active, the particle ring is there but no activation and even if I manage to get it working it probably crash because of my poor coding ugh me scripting in this game gives me a Huge headache I might take a break from this game and record Minecraft with the exception of Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod I want to do my own showcase of that mod plus TLOU1 release in a couple days so I’ll play that as well
@@DigitalArctic I was thinking that every level in the character swap you will only have three drone picks (course you can add all of the drones tho like you said some of them will ruin the mod) And it would randomize in each level so it doesn’t conflict with the gameplay if you manage to avoid everything tho after you complete the mod 100% you can add the extra mod and put it in the game there you can play the drones in your hearts desire Also I think you should add a another extra mod that adds the Character’s Special Abilities like the combos Rays Transformers the guy on shattered glass he put a pack that allows you to have the special abilities Like ShootLikeAMadMan but SLAMM has one flaw it doesn’t shoot far it’s more of a close range for it to work Same with Megatron’s flame as in this case it’s more a knockback than flames Don’t know if I can do much without the game crashing

I also thought about adding secret playable characters to the main mod as easter eggs, using Drone Attribs. Ah, one day I'll be able to go back to it.
You mean the 07 Camaro form? (Technically both vehicles Bee uses in the game are Camaro's, just the first one is a way older model) I edited VehicleSkins to change what wheel model Bee07 uses, as his normal wheel models don't exist in that level, but he's fully capable of using other wheel types that do exist there.
Yeah. He's not functional as a playable character, he has no animation for running, attacking or anything. (He only really works as a ai controlled character under very strict conditions)
You don't need to, everything will work fine. Really this will only change if HooverExt ever comes to PC, but that doesn't look to be happening anytime soon. Also keep in mind if you play on a save file that's already completed, all Dynamic Sub-Missions will be set to Prog 4 (As in, Progression Level 4, as all four chapters in every level are already complete) which has an effect on what content the Sub-Missions have. You will have character select unlocked though. You'd also be missing out on the dialogue changes between story missions, as like the vanilla game, those will only work when playing through the game normally, not replaying missions on a 100% save.

The mod already fixes that where possible. Bumblebee07 now has wheels in Tranquility, Barricade has wheels in Hoover Interior. Drones have wheels in Qatar. The only level that I can't fix it in is Cybertron, as there are no wheel models stored in that levels data to use. (Evil Bumblebee is also missing wheels, but that's because the character type he's using in the mod is physically incapable of loading wheels)
Afraid not, sorry. (The PS3 version is sheer torture to make mods for, and I can promise you that 80% of the stuff in these videos wouldn't work on PS3 without crashing sadly. So if a version of the mod was made for PS3, it would be incredibly stripped down.)
TF The Game isn't a generic term for a random TF Game in this case, this game is literally called "Transformers: The Game". It was the first movie game released back in 2007. It's so old that it's abandonware now, so it's no longer for sale in stores and such. The only way to get the game legally is to find a physical copy off a site like Amazon.

Fun fact u can chose in some levels diffrent charakters when u play the mission and in the freemode you die than can u play with an other character

Not legally no, the game was delisted from all stores, it's pretty much abandonware now along with all of the other TF games.

@@adamus7655 He is. But the mod is the way it is because you could only come back to tranquility during the day and use character select after seeing the intro cutscene to Tranquility2. While you can question the time change, it's worth mentioning the game is normally just as inconsistent with it's time of day. (I mean the Mission City cutscenes keep jumping between broad daylight and sunset for example) Also if I went with the narrative idea that Bee07 couldn't appear as he scans his vehicle form during the night, it would mean I'd have to cut all the other playable Autobots too, because they don't appear until nightfall either.

Ratchet is in the mod, but he CAN'T be playable by default. I'd love to add him as a playable character, but I quite literally can't under any conventional means. I may make an extra mod one day that rewrites a character type for Ratchet, but that would never be compatible with the base mod as someone else must be sacrificed, completely removed, for that to work.

You can walk in all versions including the PC version, but only if you use a controller.

@@xmd0000 This game's PC port is absolutely dreadful, there are tons of basic things most PC ports do that this game doesn't, such as toggleable walking for keyboard users. Modding can't really fix it for keyboard users either, not unless you remove the ability to run entirely.

@@xmd0000 Bonecrusher was never fully finished by the devs, his robot mode creaturetype has hardcoded invulnerability. (He technically doesn't have infinite health though, as this issue does not affect his vehicle mode creaturetype. Because of this, he can only take damage in vehicle mode.)
Even if we were able to remove his invulnerability, his melee takehit flags are messed up, which means the game doesn't actually know when something has struck him with melee, and instead interprets everything as ranged damage. (Which is why AI controlled Bonecrusher autoblocks melee)
Hey digital I might be asking to much but for my Player Drones
I want to add playable drones and like the Character switch I want to add a trigger at the plains near sam’s house like a second Character switch except for the drones
And I sant to switch like DroneDefault_A, DroneForklift_A, DroneArmouredCar_A, (had to replace ratchet as a test) DroneCement_A, DroneTowTruck_A, DronePickupTruck_A and DroneMig_A without going to the files and switching names it’s becoming annoying so how do I do it without crashing the game is it possible?
That's something I planned to add as an extra mod, since doing that in every level requires gutting how drones load in every level/chapter (IE removing features since the mod is built around not playing drones and uses that to it's advantage.) and removing level specific drones in favor of selectable drones that all have the proper set of anims and attribs for player use. (None of the drones have full player type functionality, they're playable but missing abilities. The only Drones that are close are the elites, but they also need Tweaks for player use.)
I still plan to do this, I just can't do it till I have a PC again.
@@DigitalArctic I mean in my video I was able to have a fully working Windwhirl for Forklift, Aggressive Charge for ArmouredCar and Sonic Boom for DroneDefault
I wanted to show DroneTowTruck since I have finished him you can either go normal spin flail walk or the elite one I also included the Reel in and Hook throw as extra attacks
Also when DroneTowTruck falls instead of that ground anim I instead use the slam land anim since I can’t create new animations in this unstable game I instead use this
Also for each drone character their melee is little bit faster including pick ups just to even things out instead of making them slow
The folder for the drones is called PlayerChars I’m still trying to put a Character switch for the drones so far no success because it won’t active, the particle ring is there but no activation and even if I manage to get it working it probably crash because of my poor coding
ugh me scripting in this game gives me a Huge headache I might take a break from this game and record Minecraft with the exception of Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod I want to do my own showcase of that mod plus TLOU1 release in a couple days so I’ll play that as well
@@DigitalArctic I was thinking that every level in the character swap you will only have three drone picks (course you can add all of the drones tho like you said some of them will ruin the mod)
And it would randomize in each level so it doesn’t conflict with the gameplay if you manage to avoid everything tho after you complete the mod 100% you can add the extra mod and put it in the game there you can play the drones in your hearts desire
Also I think you should add a another extra mod that adds the Character’s Special Abilities like the combos
Rays Transformers the guy on shattered glass he put a pack that allows you to have the special abilities
Like ShootLikeAMadMan but SLAMM has one flaw it doesn’t shoot far it’s more of a close range for it to work
Same with Megatron’s flame as in this case it’s more a knockback than flames
Don’t know if I can do much without the game crashing
@@elitemaxtheman2217 Special Abilities was on my list of future extra mods too, though further down the list compared to character select with no restrictions.
I also thought about adding secret playable characters to the main mod as easter eggs, using Drone Attribs. Ah, one day I'll be able to go back to it.

You mean the 07 Camaro form? (Technically both vehicles Bee uses in the game are Camaro's, just the first one is a way older model) I edited VehicleSkins to change what wheel model Bee07 uses, as his normal wheel models don't exist in that level, but he's fully capable of using other wheel types that do exist there.

Doesn't sound normal. But that shouldn't be a thing with this game so much as your PC.

Yeah. He's not functional as a playable character, he has no animation for running, attacking or anything. (He only really works as a ai controlled character under very strict conditions)

You don't need to, everything will work fine. Really this will only change if HooverExt ever comes to PC, but that doesn't look to be happening anytime soon.
Also keep in mind if you play on a save file that's already completed, all Dynamic Sub-Missions will be set to Prog 4 (As in, Progression Level 4, as all four chapters in every level are already complete) which has an effect on what content the Sub-Missions have. You will have character select unlocked though.
You'd also be missing out on the dialogue changes between story missions, as like the vanilla game, those will only work when playing through the game normally, not replaying missions on a 100% save.

Yeah, it just replaces the normal Optimus. Likewise for the G1 Megatron skin too.

No. This mod was made for the PC Version. It won't work with the Wii version. (Which is what Dolphin emulates)

Wheels go invisible if he doesn't have a mission in the area , just like barricade in desert 🏜️🏝️
The mod already fixes that where possible. Bumblebee07 now has wheels in Tranquility, Barricade has wheels in Hoover Interior. Drones have wheels in Qatar. The only level that I can't fix it in is Cybertron, as there are no wheel models stored in that levels data to use. (Evil Bumblebee is also missing wheels, but that's because the character type he's using in the mod is physically incapable of loading wheels)

Afraid not, sorry. (The PS3 version is sheer torture to make mods for, and I can promise you that 80% of the stuff in these videos wouldn't work on PS3 without crashing sadly. So if a version of the mod was made for PS3, it would be incredibly stripped down.)

TF The Game isn't a generic term for a random TF Game in this case, this game is literally called "Transformers: The Game". It was the first movie game released back in 2007. It's so old that it's abandonware now, so it's no longer for sale in stores and such. The only way to get the game legally is to find a physical copy off a site like Amazon.
