Whew! This episode was HEAVY. Boy I felt EVERY emotion Willa felt and still feel when I lost my granny in 2015 because that was my everything she SAW me. Also, The word strong is often thrown around with in the black community so frequently. I myself, have stop wearing it like a badge of honor because people don't see the hurt. When Kendra spoke on strong and being overlooked I immediately felt tears. Because I felt that in my soul.
Yes Willa testimony was everything! I just want to let you know I felt you when you said your granny saw you. So many of us do not feel seen, heard or loved and it is expressed in anger, frustration and anxiety. To lose someone who made you feel seen and loved is devastating and I pray that you continue to push through and heal. 💛
