Huntress was such an entertaining and endearing character. I loved how she was just doing her own thing, and when teaming up w/ the other women, she looked like she was having so much fun. Her smile when Harley said “you just killed his bff” was hilarious. She looked so proud and excited, even w/ the danger looming outside 😂

In the comics, after her Gotham family was betrayed and murdered, she was taken in by relatives still living in Sicily who acted as hitmen. They taught her their skills and beliefs. One of these was the old version of Omerta that emphasized that silence was not kept strictly because of loyalty but the belief that someone had to be strong enough to settle their business on their own merits without involving outsiders or authorities. Even showed the origin of the OG Huntress' nun-inspired costume. A solo movie for Winstead could adapt the comic storyline where she had to save her remaining family due to the blowback of her revenge run.
I love her and Huntress, a match made in heaven! Her and Ewan McGregor were my favorites in this!! Giver he a solo movie with the Vic Sage Question relationship!!!
The funniest part, to me, is the fact that when Harley bent down to pick up that penny, the guy with the face tattoo was Huntress' intended target the entire time. That's like a Batman level power move. Overall I liked Birds of Prey. But I also think it had it's problems. Huntress was not one of those problems. Give Mary Elizabeth Winstead a Huntress trilogy. She's criminally underutilized in movies as it is, and she knocked that out of the park.
If the DCEU is going to continue expanding its lesser known character roster, which by the looks of Black Adam they are going to a lot, I would love to see a movie with Huntress and Question. That was by far the best dynamic in all of JLU and I wanted to watch this movie specifically for Huntress because of it
