I'm 73 years old now. Went through Winter Warfare School at Dombas and Elverum Norway when I was in my mid 30s.. The first two videos I watched were all on snowshoes. This is more like the Norway I know. Cross country skis. This really makes me yearn for the days I'll never get back. Norway is the most beautiful country. The thing that Makes it so wonderful are the people. They think nothing of walking 7 miles in the snow to the store. Usually with a sled and on skis, but sometimes just walking. I love these videos. Thank you. Peace.

A practical sitting-place you digged there, for meditation about time, ages, life... A few times of exercise more, and yoy can build an igloo ! In winter impossible to set up your tent in 15 seconds ! A time-taking job ! You are lucky to have your yellow useful placemat ! And an e-book ! Night must be unendless. Your sleep seems to be interrupted by a little bit of fear ? about getting "snowed-in" ? - What touches me the most is that peaceful silence all around. In Silence you can let your eyes rest on the magnificent snow-covered pinetrees, you can hear the music of life, cheerful or melancholic. That quietness can be treacherous: soft snowflakes turn into iron needles blown by the stormwind. - As you love winterconditions, I suppose you are enjoying your adventure, Jarl. All the best wishes ! And keep going !

Aloha! Just started watching your videos from here in Hawaii. Everyone of them (so far Sequoia and Kings Canyon) have been excellent with incredible videography, commentary and music! Your Chanel is replacing Netflix for us! Haha! No comparison to the splendor of your videos! Getting ready for a month and a half of tent camping in Oregon, Lake Tahoe, Kings Canyon, Sequoia, Redwoods and Oregon Coast this summer. Therefore we are interested in the video gear you are using. Do you have a link somewhere? Keep up the magical journey you are on!

If I remember right it was pretty deep, maybe 1.5m, 4-5ft. It was indeed beautiful!

I loved this newvideo... what a beautiful experience it must have been! It is very pleasing to be able to look at images filmed so calmly, super well framed and made from the right angle and distance and, not least, totally stable that for the same reason allow you to look without ending up completely DIZZY, being then possible to enjoy everything you did in that camp. May I ask you something? Why did you use the Nallo model as a tent instead of the Soulo, which according to Hilleberg would allow better performance with heavy snow loads?

Also, what kind of animals live around there that might have come near your tent? Aren't you in danger with some of them? What temperature do you think it was while it was snowing? I ask you because I live in Chile and here it usually snows from +1ºC and NEVER with less than -3ºC.

Thanks, its all about space, I preffer to have more room in my tent for winter trips

No dangers from animals in Norway, sadly, we only have around 150 bears left, and they are so scared of humans after having been hunted close to extinction that they would never come near humans, Norway is really troubled when it comes to wildlife management, sheep before anything, it is a shame that wildlife is not respected as necessary. I dont remember how cold it was, it usually snows in the -10 to 3 degrees range, but it can vary a lot between the various «seasons» of the winter.

" The space of the forest will cautiously accept the one who has come and will study his intentions, habits, way of life for a long time. After all, where you lived, where you live now, the forest used to be, too, nurtured by the Creator. The salutary oasis of Paradise has been turned into what today? Those who have gone into the forest are not more significant, but on the contrary, those summer residents who, on a deserted, unkempt Earth, have grown gardens with their own hands. They know, every blade of grass of their site loves, the universal warmth tries to give. And true feelings in those who themselves built an oasis of Paradise, embodying the good of their Souls" Anastasia "Ringing Cedars of Russia"
