Hi Veronica, had to chuckle when you mentioned joking between Danish and Swedish. I work for MUN and we have many Norwegian Marine Biology students here studying. You should hear what they say about the Swedes? And I thought Scandinavia was just one big happy family Lol. Canada has an agreement in place for the processing of Atlantic Salmon, Cod and Turbot fishery in a shared economic zones. Wondering what species you are processing. also, an iceberg rolling sounds like thunder when collapsing, but your biggest fear should be polar bears up on your back deck, living so close to the salt water, so be very diligent, and check first before you go out around the house. They swim ashore and you don't even know they are there. I see on FB one was shot while breaking down a tent in Nunavut with people inside just a few days ago. Those little black berries are known locally as Black Berry Sod. Fishermen in NL tear it off the rock and dry the sod and berries for smoking salmon locally, nice aroma. Linden berry's are over now you usually collect them off the bogs in mid August here. but Greenland is the right place for them by the kilo. Get in with the locals and ask them to take you hunting. You don't have to eat raw meat/fish to fit in, bring your own spices and oil, and ask them to cook it for you. They all carry gas stoves and pots and pans for making tea. The last thing you want is a bout of diarrhea out hunting to contend with. You will start to fit in soon, your still in the locally curiosity zone right now.
Hahah yes that's how it is in scandinavia! I do not live that far north in Greenland so the risks of polarbears are not high. But of course you should be careful. Hahha i did not eat it to fit in, I wanted to try something i haven't tried before :) It is amazing here, can't wait for the snow
Cheers from the US... You should feel proud of having the spirit and courage to go outside of your comfort zone and gain a new and unique life experience. Most people will never even think to do such things, but it enriches you as a person in many ways! I hope the rest of your time there is amazing. Keep living your dreams!
Glad you seem to be settling into your new Greenlandic world. Spectacular view and ambiance to wake up to every day. Fishing industry up there would provide good scope to grow into the country quite well I would say. Learning the lingo will help a lot. Lots of adventurous hobbies to explore and unknowns to discover. Have fun.
Enjoyable to see Ilulissat from the water. Walking alongside that strait years ago at summer Solstice I was awed by the enormous bergs that floated slowly by on the Icefjord. Have you tried crowberry beer yet?
Hello from the US, Ohio!! I admire your courage living in another Country! I admire people who live in foreign Countries, especially where the language you speak is not the language spoken where you travel! Think of all you are learning, and how what you are learning inspires others! I always thought Greenland was a beautiful Country, very unique! Thank you for sharing your experiences! I looked up what 25 kilograms is in pounds … I think it is about 55 pounds. You are very strong! I would have been fired …I may be able to drag it, but lift, I don’t think so!
Hello! Yes it’s amazing, this is such an experience and an amazing adventure. It’s so unique and has so many wonderful things. Actually I got to know that it’s only the fish itself weighing 25kg.. with the trays it’s about 30kg (66 pounds) 😅

As I posted in another video, I like you content. I will eventualy get thru most of the videos. You are an interesting woman. How do you communicate at work, English?
Thank you very much! We communicate via a lot of gestures and I’ve learned a few Greenlandic words. Some also speak danish and some words I can understand as a swede 😅
