Easily the best puddy scene is when he's just sitting on his couch, doing absolutely nothing (for who knows how long) and he picks up the phone when it rings lol
Catch the funny and clever scene where he is in the background blankly staring into space while Elaine and Jerry are arguing .in the foreground of the car dealership episode?.
I couldn't find the scene on youtube but I remember it well. He's sitting in the other room at his desk, blindly looking straight ahead. Get a chuckle every time I think about it.
I re-watched The Dealership episode and was laughing. Thanks for pointing that bit out. For how long he's in the background staring I can't believe I never noticed it....
2:28 "Puddy." "Is uh David Puddy there?" "This is Puddy." Actually one of my favorite interactions in the entire series. Maybe it's the way Puddy is just sitting there staring into space before the phone rings. It's like they were too lazy to write him into a scene before the phone call, so they just made him sit there, but it totally works for his character.
Actually, I am glad he starred in the other funny TV series "Rules of Engagement". Also with great writing and acting. Loved its premise and the whole cast.
Disagree. It's a very one dimensional character. Warburton plays every character like that. It's his one schtick. It's fun but contrary to other side characters like Newman or Peterman it's basically one joke on repeat and gets old much faster. A show would maybe make one good season out of it
Puddy was hilarious. Be was in only 10 of the 180 Seinfeld episodes, yet became one of the most memorable and truly "essential" characters of the show. Well acted by Patrick Warburton, and kudos to Jerry Seinfeld to recognize his impact and make him a bigger part of the show.
People say that, but the reason he works so well is that we get him in small doses. And Elaine is always dumping him. If you had to actually spend sustained time with Puddy it wouldn't be so amusing.
That was one of the funniest moments of the entire series. Elaine breaks up with Puddy because she can't stand him staring at the back of the seat, only moments after they had just gotten back together. What a ridiculous reason to end a relationship.
I loved the scene where Puddy tells Elaine he won't paint his face anymore--she tells him how much she appreciates that--to which he replies--"I have to go out for a while--I'll be back-we'll make out"--LOL
What I truly loved with Seinfeld was that they NEVER overused any of the minor characters. You'd think that when an actor gained enough love from audiences, the writers would chip him/her into every episode. That would make the character repetitive after a while and the little quirks wouldn't be as fun anymore. Seinfeld never did that. I always wanted more of every recurring character, be it Puddy, Mr Peterman or George's parents.
SHould have had more from Kramer's shower garbage disposal episode. Puddy: I'm a recovering Germ-o-phobe. Ten years. (shows necklace) Elaine: What is this symbol? Puddy: it's a germ.
Yup, missing "vegetable lasagna" on the plane, the constant breaking up/getting back together every 5 minutes, Elaine flipping out because Puddy just wants to sit there and squint at nothing, the "David don't wait for me..." (pause) "ok" from the last episode, maybe a couple more. Most of those are from the last couple of seasons though, your montage is pretty complete from before that.
Many Seinfeld actors voiced Disney characters. -Patrick Warburton (David Puddy) was Kronk in Emperors New Groove. -Julia Louise Dreyfus (Elaine) was Princess Atta in A Bugs Life -Jason Alexander (George) was Hugo in Hunchback of Notre Dame -Wayne Knight (Newman) was Demetrius in Hercules, Tantor in Tarzan, and Al in Toy Story 2 -Estelle Harris (Mrs Costanza) was Mrs Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise (Toy Story 2-4)
One of Puffy's funniest lines is the episode when Jerry is buying the Saab. After Elaine & Puddy break up and he starts adding things to the price of the car. When Puddy says "keys" and Jerry says "keys" Puddy looks at Jerry and says "how you gonna start it?
Love Puddy!! Still amazing to me how much of a lasting impact even some of the secondary, lesser known characters had on the show. Between the casting, directing, producing and last but certainly not least, an ensemble of writers second to none who redefined what it truly means to "catch lightening in a bottle."
the casting of david puddy and frank costanza were just simply awesome the show would have never been the same without them and i almost forgot newman was awesome to
Where's the clip when Elaine breaks up and makes up with Puddy on the plane and he turns around and starts staring at the back of the seat in front of him 😂 and she's like "you just gonna stare at that seat? U haven't changed a bit!" 😂😂😂
A little humorous trivia: In "The Dealership" (at the beginning of this compilation), there's a scene where Jerry and George are arguing. Visible in the background, Puddy is sitting at his desk staring blankly into space the whole time. Unscripted and hilarious.
"..with devils, and those caves! And the ragged clothing! And the heat! My God, the heat!!!" L M A O! There should be a Hollywood walk of fame for TV Show Characters. Elaine would be A MUST!
Easily the best puddy scene is when he's just sitting on his couch, doing absolutely nothing (for who knows how long) and he picks up the phone when it rings lol
i do that too sometimes! i like sitting!
Catch the funny and clever scene where he is in the background blankly staring into space while Elaine and Jerry are arguing .in the foreground of the car dealership episode?.
canebluff With the amount of times I've seen that episode (it's great) I can't believe I've never noticed...time to get out the DVD...
His delivery of his lines is perfect.
+BJMcB92 leslie Nielsen would be proud!
BJMcB92 yeah he's underrated
Caleb Sprutte he was very funny in emperors new groove and rules of engagement. Deadpan delivery perfect.
I particularly like "Check it out.... 8 ball..." I'm smiling just by typing it here haha
If you get a chance to watch his short lived Tick show, God he was funny in that. He does Joe on family guy great too
In the finale I always crack up when Elaine's like "Puddy, don't wait for me" and Puddys like "k"
cluster c Made me laugh every time.
He says a'ight.
HAHAHA
Pure perfect Puddy vibes
Funny how Puddy always looks like he's looking into the sun.
+Joey Franco Haha yeah. When he's on the plane and he just sits there staring into the back of the seat in front of him. Classic Puddy.
the squinting?
He's just trying to "look away"
It kind of reminds me of French Stewart's character on "Third Rock from the Sun."
Lookout Piano I’ve never known that guy’s name until now. ”French”. What a wacky name.
The "I am not the one going to hell" line is fantastic. It takes you totally by surprise and is just hilarious
Yep, and the head nod after makes it even funnier.
I busted a gut at that! 🤣
Growing up in an over-religious household, I knew he was going to say something like that.
It is strange that his favorite team is called The Devils.
What do you care, you know where you’re going? 😂
The squinted eyes, dry humor, and short, fast, and direct answers... Gotta love this guy
It's amazing how memorable Puddy is, considering that he only appeared in 8 or 9 episodes.
that's impact
Yeah, the writers really loved the character so they kept bringing him back.
I HATED him when I was a kid but I find him so funny now.
He appeared in a total of 10 episodes. 8, 9 or 10 he is memorable from the show.
Yeah that's right.
"AND THE HEAAT THE HEAAT, WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THAT"?
"gonna be rough."
Lol
"i'll be back, we'll make out"
ROFL that is my absolute favorite! "I'll be back, we'll make out." Gets me EVERTIME!
Heh, yeah. That line's alright! Hi five.
i’ve tried that line. works like a charm.
Gio Van I’m so gonna say that
Yeah, that’s right
"Ah whaddya care, you know where you're going."
That squint, that stare! "Yeah, that's right."
LOL
RHINOSAUR she nailed it!
I love how his delivery of "That chimps alright High Five" is all in one sentence. He leaves no room to separate the statements. Puddy is the best.
2:28
"Puddy."
"Is uh David Puddy there?"
"This is Puddy."
Actually one of my favorite interactions in the entire series. Maybe it's the way Puddy is just sitting there staring into space before the phone rings. It's like they were too lazy to write him into a scene before the phone call, so they just made him sit there, but it totally works for his character.
"I know"
Totally! reminds me of the scene where Elaine gets mad at him for doing nothing on the long plane ride. That's my favorite Puddy scene!
Him just sitting there was a reference to the airplane episode.
Phobos Anomaly definitely one of the best things about this show lies in its subtlety
Phobos Anomaly Yeah, that's right.
"I'm not the one goin' to Hell"
BAHAHAHAHA
I honestly think that Elaine and Puddy had enough material between the two of them for a whole show themselves
RODRIGO ST ...I disagree...I'll be broken in half & stuffed in the...footlocker?, overhead bin? poor Scandanavien vegestable lasagna.
A show would maybe make one good season out of it
"So is it a problem that I'm not really religious?"
"Not for me"
"Why not?"
"I'm not the one going to hell". LMAO!!!
David Puddy was one of the best Seinfeld characters. Dry humor at it's best. His delivery is incredible.
Was just watching an interview with him, and I was amazed that Puddy was only in 9 episodes total. It's deceiving - you'd think it was more.
I love how he's just sitting in his apartment, squinting into the wall until the phone rings. :-D
2:27 i love how puddy is just sitting there staring off doing nothing
I need more Puddy in my life. They could have done a spin-off with his character and I'd be happy with that.
People say that, but the reason he works so well is that we get him in small doses. And Elaine is always dumping him. If you had to actually spend sustained time with Puddy it wouldn't be so amusing.
Instead he ended up on that stinking rules of engagement
It could’ve taken place right after Elaine said to not wait up for her.
you missed his best bit....whne he and elaine are on the plane fighting...and then he just stares to kill time!
totally! ^^
with vegetable lasagnas... :D
That was one of the funniest moments of the entire series. Elaine breaks up with Puddy because she can't stand him staring at the back of the seat, only moments after they had just gotten back together. What a ridiculous reason to end a relationship.
Vegetable lasagna.
Have you seen the crap movies they offer on planes these days?
Poor Vegetable Lasagna
>leaving out the best Puddy line
That's BOGUS, man!
William Rearick Yea..That's Right..
That was freaking hilarious!!!
"All right. What did I do?" LOL I love their relationship
The way he says it is hilarious!!
the impact of this character can easily rival the main characters. Great writing great actor. Respect
One of the best voice actors of all time
Puddy's reply to Elaine worrying about how bad hell is going to be. 1:46 It's classic. LMFAO!!
one of my favorite episodes; Puddy came to this show at the right time
they could have rode the original 4 forever but kept adding truly funny semi-regulars and regulars...pretty amazing
During the puddy era, Elaine looked great.
Well she was gettin it fairly regularly
@@zapkvr haha that has nothing to do with it , she still looks great
She dropped that hair crown style she wore in earlier seasons and let her hair down. Looked so much better!
"What do you care, you know were your going"
You gotta question, ask the 8 ball! lol
all sides point to yes!
@@tomitstube Signs, not sides...All signs point to yes!
Lol I love Puddy he is so funny
"I'm not the one going to hell." He gives a little nod and leaves the room. Love it.
I absolutely looooove these two together!
Him and bania ...two great underrated characters
That'gold. Gold.
Missed the scene where Puddy is on a plane with Elaine and just sits staring at nothing and it drives Elaine nuts :)
Oh the days before seat back screens and onboard wifi
I loved the scene where Puddy tells Elaine he won't paint his face anymore--she tells him how much she appreciates that--to which he replies--"I have to go out for a while--I'll be back-we'll make out"--LOL

They forgot "Let's see here, I've got a five kronor, a ten kronor, a TWENTY kronor--no wait... that's another ten kronor" when they're in Europe, haha
+Rachel Engle As a Norwegian I enjoyed that scene a lot. :P
Femte krona
This is really the best short clip of Puddy anywhere! Love it!! 🤠
david puddy is one of the coolest and funniest characters in Seinfeld! loved the compilation!
Undoubtedly, one of the greatest characters created on television.
Sitting and thinking about nothing. David Puddy, did mindfulness meditation long time ago before it came a thing in America.
Hahaha...David Puddy. "Gotta Support the Team". I love the face painter.
I love the "That's right." So good.
Did I give this video a thumbs up?
All signs point to YES!
"Feels like an Arby's night" Don't know why this is so funny to me, but it cracks me up! lol
SHould have had more from Kramer's shower garbage disposal episode.
Puddy: I'm a recovering Germ-o-phobe. Ten years. (shows necklace)
Elaine: What is this symbol?
Puddy: it's a germ.
"You have any questions... you ask the 8 ball" classic
Feels like an Arby’s night! 👍
Puddy is fantastic :)
Puddy is so awesome.
LOL I always love it when Puddy is on an episode! Great compilation!
Him and Mr. Peterman are probably my two favorite characters.
Peterman bought Peterman.
Awesome collection. The scene with Puddy wearing a fur coat and being introduced as Dr, Zaius deserves honorable mention.
All i hear is Joe Swanson.
Everytime I hear Joe Swanson, I think David Puddy.
All I hear is kronk
General Heavy me too.
it's so weird seeing him and not just...hearing him....lol
Just wikied it and he actually did. This one of the happiest days of sad and lonely life.
lol @ 2:28... it just cuts to him sitting by the phone staring into space, hahaha
He was a friend of my friend Gina years ago. A brilliiant dead pan delivery. Completely hilarious.
Now I want an 8-ball jacket.
+GuccizBud Yeah, I was waiting for 'vegetable lasagna' and all the breaking up.
yeah thats right...
Patrick Warburton's voice is poet to my ears
I can't imagine the world without the talent of Mr Patrick warburton A.K.A David Puddy😁😁😁.....man your comedy talent is from heaven👌
Probably my favorite character on the show. Always laugh when he's on. Hilarious!
He’s just so happy wearing that 8 ball jacket
Classic. When he just stares into space....
All signs point to Yes! Hahaha
"You know where you are going"...... that was just perfect

-Patrick Warburton (David Puddy) was Kronk in Emperors New Groove.
-Julia Louise Dreyfus (Elaine) was Princess Atta in A Bugs Life

-Wayne Knight (Newman) was Demetrius in Hercules, Tantor in Tarzan, and Al in Toy Story 2
-Estelle Harris (Mrs Costanza) was Mrs Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise (Toy Story 2-4)
My god you've forgotten Patrick Warburton's most important role: The Tick!
Seems kinda like a younger version of his rules character
Gotta support the team.
Finders fee? it was on the lot!
Yeah that’s right
One of Puffy's funniest lines is the episode when Jerry is buying the Saab. After Elaine & Puddy break up and he starts adding things to the price of the car. When Puddy says "keys" and Jerry says "keys" Puddy looks at Jerry and says "how you gonna start it?
Season 9 outtakes with Puddy donning the 8-Ball jacket have Elain unable to restrain laughing out loud.
I can't help but think of Puddy when I watch the emporers new groove lmao
The little nod at 0:55 is so god(!) damn brilliant. Best comedy show in history.
Elaines ''Hell'' rant and what do you think about that?
Puddy : It's gonna be rough
Haha, so much gold!
I like it how he's really proud when he shows elaine his eight ball coat.
Love Puddy!! Still amazing to me how much of a lasting impact even some of the secondary, lesser known characters had on the show. Between the casting, directing, producing and last but certainly not least, an ensemble of writers second to none who redefined what it truly means to "catch lightening in a bottle."

Thanks for putting that together, like it. :)
Where's the clip when Elaine breaks up and makes up with Puddy on the plane and he turns around and starts staring at the back of the seat in front of him 😂 and she's like "you just gonna stare at that seat? U haven't changed a bit!" 😂😂😂
High five....on the flip side!!!
".. It's Gonna Be Rough." BWAHAHA 😂
Just discovered Rules of Engagement recently and ended up doing a full marathon from season one till the end. He really makes the show what it is!
Golly I love this guy! This is comedy and I miss it.
puddy , cracks me up.
Elaine: So you're pretty religious?
Puddy: I try...
What do you care, y'know where you're going....
excellent! puddy is legend. great video.
The way he says Coco!
Cocos ok
That chimp's alright. High five!
"it feels like an arby's night"
A little humorous trivia: In "The Dealership" (at the beginning of this compilation), there's a scene where Jerry and George are arguing. Visible in the background, Puddy is sitting at his desk staring blankly into space the whole time. Unscripted and hilarious.
"..with devils, and those caves! And the ragged clothing! And the heat! My God, the heat!!!" L M A O! There should be a Hollywood walk of fame for TV Show Characters. Elaine would be A MUST!
You missed one of my favorites ... when he paints his chest and says, "You said no more face painting. And as you can see, this isn't my face."
i still think the best puddy moment was:
"Puddy! Don't wait for me!"
"Ok"
PUDDY IS THE BEST!
I just wish they had him on the show for longer! :(
Puddy is the GOAT of Seinfeld secondary characters
ya that's right
